A chic hotel with gourmet food and drinks.

Highly overrated hotel just because there is no competition in Montreaux. Bad room service, terrible house keeping. Will charge you even if you ask for a glass in the room. Road facing rooms very noisy. You cant open windows due to traffic noise. Not at all worth the hype and money. They are simply exploiting there long history otherwise its just a hotel fast falling on bad times where housekeeping would not remove waste papers left by previous occupant for 4 days. Definitely look for other options. as ususal the hotel has given an automated reply which clearly shows their lack of concern for guests and no desire to improve. Better would have been to list the remedial measures taken.

I got a small room. But over all everything is good. Friend staffs, beautiful full view on the lake side.

I came for a night on the top floor, amazing view, staff very welcoming and professional, everything was perfect.

In 1904, the Montreux Palace luxury hotel was opened in Montreux, now a landmark of the city and remains one of the most popular hotels in the Swiss Riviera.

Our two night stay was truly wonderful. We stayed for my wife’s birthday, and the staff were so attentive and helpful and even put a surprise cake in our room. The location is amazing, right on the lake, and the view from our room on the top floor was incredible. There is ample choice of restaurants within the hotel, and we tried both the Jazz Cafe and the Bar. The food was great, the wine not so much, but hey Switzerland is not famous for the wine! This really was one of the most memorable weekend breaks away, made extra special by a fantastic hotel and superior service.

Has been the key to enter the room, one to the door room there are people cleaning, one into the toilet floor and a pool of yellow water left by the tenant, did not clean, do not know whether there is no fan or bad, last toilet the whole room stink for a long, the price is not cheap, everything has to pay extra, but the basic facilities have not Five-star hotels shouldn't be like this.

Very good price for massage and access to the pool. Great Massage. The indoor pool is supposed to be part of the spa but access to the children and the facilities vieilottes fond thinking of a public swimming pool.

A prestigious place in a beautiful setting! The view of the Lake is the most beautiful one can have from a city in the lémanic basin.

Beautiful hotel filled with historical events.

The hotel has made a very good impression on us and is beautifully situated on Lake Geneva. We arrived by train at the train station and took a taxi. The CHF 13 could have been saved, too. View of the lake. The French Alps were also very well looked at.
The breakfast was generous with plenty of choice, even though the breakfast room was a bit hidden. Better signage would have been better here.
The concierge helped us with some excursion tips (cable car, boat trip). The reservation of a restaurant worked without any problems. There we even got a window seat.
The wellness area is also very good with Jacuzzi and steam bath (fresh Minzduft). There is even a massage bathtub. In the pool you can swim well. I had a massage and the co-worker did a very good job with me.
We would love to come back.

Cozy rooms, beautiful park and indoor and outdoor pool. My children and I felt very comfortable. Breakfast was delightful. Great selection of gin and tonics.

Organized Tour with bus and accompanying purpose of the trip Christmas markets and illuminations. View of the lake spectacular both day and night. Colorful and particular illuminations. Markets with stalls with various items. The coffee in the bar of the hotel great, staff very kind. Credit card high price.

Impeccable Palace in a historic setting. Don't expect an ultra design hotel as often. A big Bravo to the whole team that remains accessible and warm: just exceptional (not the company of penguins stuck and cold and it makes a great good)

Sunday Brunch: One of the best in the area. The desserts are sometimes a little disappointing but are compensated by the rest!

Beautiful place with wonderful views. I'd like to go back and try out the pool. Funky Claude's was a great place to grab a cocktail with wonderful service.

Not a child friendly place. 1. Pool timings for children are 2pm to 6pm. (most of this time they nap)! 2. Outdoor pool is not heated enough to bring a child to the pool. 3. No kids play area in the hotel. Also they charge 45 chf for parking. It is a great place for a romantic couple with paradise views to the lake! However the balcony (of the lake view room) faces the main road with traffic, so you cant sit there if you want privacy and some peace and quietness. This is a luxury hotel with luxurious decor and rooms. Albeit our bathroom was not cleaned well when we arrived and the products were not as high end as we had seen in other 5 star hotels like Royal Evian etc. Have to mention that the staff/concierge were not very welcome too. Every time we came back from an outing, the concierge would look at us suspiciously with a frown as if we could'nt afford to stay there! Just writing this as we paid a good amount of money for our 3 nights stay and this 5 star hotel didnt meet our expectations.

We spent several days here and felt like family. Sylvia at the front desk, Flora in housekeeping, Norma at the breakfast buffet, and Besart at concierge will all make your stay a little better.

A gem of the Riviera that we would not miss for anything in the world. Excellent service and great view of the lake and the opposite bank. I'd put a sixth star on it.

We are here for the Montreux jazz festival. The room at the Montreux Palace is quite comfortable and well-appointed and the amenities at the hotel are exceptional. The breakfast is not to be missed!

Amazing place to stay. Great view from the room, not forgetting how good the rooms themselves are. The place has a great restaurant. Their amenities are all also we'll maintained. Had a great stay.

The food from the restaurant was excellent and of great quality however the particular white wine chosen by the restaurant was not Wally enough. I also had the chance to participate in an evening in the small palace which is very well appointed for an evening of several hundred people. The staff are very friendly and qualified. Unfortunately I have not yet had the chance to spend the night in one of the hotel rooms but for what I had as experience I would recommend it warmly.

Beautiful hotel and grounds, view from the room (lake view) is without any doubt the most beautiful I have seen from a hotel room. Room was not without issues (air conditioning was not working well and shower was either scalding hot or ice cold with no in between), but otherwise this was a five star experience with a decently sized room and beautiful facilities. Montreux is a beautiful little town as well.

The hotel is very good, very nice, the food is excellent, but it is too noisy at night! Absolutely avoid the 85 room, which is directly above the Funky Claude's Bar which plays music until 2am! The bass was so strong that you thought you were right in the middle of the dance hall! Unacceptable for a 5 star hotel!

Best hotel in Montreux has good location and good service.

The MP's Bar & Grill is the best restaurant we tried in Montreux. The setting is just beautiful, the service was perfect (complete with useful tips to visit the area) and the dishes very well made (I recommend the selection of black angus Switzerland mature for meat lovers). We will return without doubt during our visit in the region. Thanks again for this moment!

Exceptional location and great facilities in a beautiful landscape environment, a high standard service with a very dedicated staff. Depending what you order, food is sometimes overrated but still OK — I mean it is not a Michelin's gastronomic star.

Exceptional service and our room was great. Stay on the Geneva Lake side and get a balcony room. The views are amazing.

The Deluxe rooms are very spacious, the staff very friendly and accommodating. The "Special Effects" Montreux Jazz Café and the Sunday brunch are a stunner and the visit for their own value. On our travel blog reisememo-ch, we have a Review published.

Lovely place for a long weekend retreat.

Cuisine and an exceptional setting
Shrimp sautéed in Butterfly, nest of crisp vegetables, net and dressing to orange in entry, followed by the large prawns marinated with lime, mix of young shoots Gnocchi Roman and cream rocket. A cobbler to the fig and honey accompanied by his white cheese sorbet for dessert. That I had not also good eaten for a long time. The dishes are fine, tasty and plentiful. It borders the star restaurant. The framework on the terrace is outstanding, the view on the Lake is beautiful. The service is excellent, discreet and efficient. The terrace of the Petit Palais is an address at expensive prices, partly due to the exceptional setting. In all cases, it is an address that is worth a visit.
