Backpackers Luzern Hotel

Amazing hostel, I was a single traveler staying for a night. I was in a 4 bed room and had a cute patio. The receptionist was so nice and sweet at the front desk and gave me directions and everything. The rooms have lockers and little cubbies too. The beds were comfortable and the showers and toilets were always clean. The location walk is along the lake and right across from a beach. I 100% recommend for a cheap and great stay. It’s also right by the main train station.

Come spesso accade per gli ostelli gli asciugamani non sono compresi nel prezzo, in compenso tramite la visitor card gli ospiti possono utilizzare gratuitamente I mezzi pubblici (anche se comunque l'ostello è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi in 10 minuti dalla stazione). Esperienza soddisfacente per un prezzo molto buono considerando che si tratta della Svizzera.

Super friendly reception, very clean facilities and nice location just steps from a cute park with swimming beach on the lake and only 4 stops from the bus station (transit is free)! I enjoyed having a balcony as well. Good Wi-Fi. I would happily stay here again!

We stayed here for just one night. The location is right next to the lake Lucerne and a beach (! ) and a park. It is a few minutes bus ride from the old center and the train station but you get a free travel card for travelling by bus to the city center. These buses are very frequent so there's not much time lost commuting to the center. The staff at the hostel were very helpful and friendly. The kitchen was adequate and you can cook whatever you want, provided you bring the ingredients and have the time! Our room had a nice balcony. The only downside was that sometime the corridors smelled like cigarette smoke even though there are no smoking signs everywhere.

Really friendly staff, genuinely helpful with clean well managed facilities. A nice short stroll along the lake front to town. Great place to base yourself in Lucerne.

Very clean, quiet, and nice. About 10 minute walk into town and the train station. Also, across the street from a bunch of parks with beaches, food trucks, and different events in the summer. Staff was nice but they will be short with you if you are loud and don't read the signs in the lobby. Overall great experience.

One of the best hostels I have ever been to. Is nice and clean. Hostel staff is very friendly and helpful. Location wise its a bit far from Lucerne Bahnhof. Overall the best you can get. Book in advance as it is always booked.

Great budget place to stay in Lucerne. Staff are friendly and super helpful, the rooms, showers and bathrooms are clean, there is laundry and a small kitchen for self caterers. This hostel is also family friendly with cribs and baby bathtubs available. Location-wise, it's close to the train station, pier for boats going around Lake Lucerne, a grocery store and a budget donair place.

Good place, nice rooms with really nice view, everything really clean and really cool and helpfull staff… But come on… If we travel (at least me or all the ppl that I made friends on the road) we are looking for freedom and this hostel have rules and hours for everything… You cant go go the kitchen after 11pm, that open in the morning but you cant cook till 12? Why is that? X) if a guy feel wake up early and make a good breakfast with eggs or something just cant… If other guy wish to have diner after 11pm also cant… Even worste if I feel eat a yogurt or something that is in the fridge I cant go there and take… im sorry but I think that is really stupid… Checkout before 10am also is so so much earlier… Cant take shower after 12pm also… The hostel is really nice but all this hours rules I think is non sence… In 3 years of traveling ive been in so many hostels and never saw something like that… People travel with difrent reasons and can have difrent hours to do the stuff… Me for exemple everyday evening have to come back earlier than I plan to the hostel to can arrive on time to male diner… But all the rest was 100% allright :)

I booked 2 bed in share room for 4, but then they gived us 2 bed in private room for 2. We are lucky. Small kitchen but there are 2 kitchen there. With spacious dining room. Near to lake with nice view. Near to train station and bus stop.

I stayed at this place for over a week and loved it! The location is great, it is right next to the lake, a beach and a little retro trailer bar is 5 minutes walk away and it is close to the city center. The room is adequate and the washrooms were clean. The guys who work there are very nice and helpful and they look really cute when they clean the kitchen and do other domestic things about the place which they always seem to be doing lol. I hope the one with the missing cat who has the nicest way of speaking and great dedication to his job has been reunited with 'Sheba'. The only bad point for me was the sourly cleaner who made me feel like I was about to be scolded. I mean I didn't see a sign that I should remove my presence when she came to clean in the morning especially since I was on vacation and wanted to sleep in late! Overall, I highly recommend this place, it is affordable (for Switzerland), clean, being next to the lake is quiet and a bit romantic, it is very close to the main part of the city and the best part is the people who work there (except for the cleaner). They are absolutely lovely and will make you feel at home and will even wash your clothes too for a fee of course so you can spend maximum time exploring Lucerne, Interlaken etc.

You can feel at home in this place. The guy at the office was SUPER nice and he spoke English fluently. The kitchen is big enough and the WC and showers are clean. Also you have a lake (which looks beautiful at night) next to this place. Loved it.

Good place to live but the bathroom and toilet is out. What can one get at a hostel. The place is awesome and the people at the reception desk too good. Will come back soon to back packers.

Fantastic Hostel. Great views of Mt. Pilatus in the background off each of the rooms balconies. Great location 100 meters from the lakeshore in a quiet area. Very friendly staff and nice rooms.

Staff was super friendly. Location was easy to access. Had a park access and very close to the station. Rooms were clean and good, Higher end of hostel in maintainance, almost like a hotel. We were even given free bus pass to go around during our stay. Highly recommended.

Lovely hostel, great staff. The place is really well looked after, with good facilities for kitchen and bathroom. The staff are super helpful as well. The location is cool, very close to the lake, but quite a long way into town.

A definitely good place to stay. It is a ex-student dorm. The collage like feeling is good.
