Very nice room with balcony and Matterhorn view, good breakfast, very nice atmosphere and the whole thing at a good price. My bath was a bit small, but not so that it bothered. Highly recommended.

No error in staying there. It's a fair price for a place like Zermatt. If you're single and there for skiing it's totally worthy. For a romantic staying maybe not.

At the price of the horse, this is reasonable. Although not small, but the environment quiet and comfortable, walk 5 minutes to the station.
In addition, this trip to Switzerland to live in three hotels, the hospitality staff is the most cordial, big points.

The hotel has a family-like atmosphere and the staff are friendly. The breakfasts (buffet style) were delicious and the rooms clean. We thought it was very reasonably priced (for Zermatt) and we would certainly stay there again.

The Elite Hotel, ideally located in the heart of Zermatt, is extremely quiet, and you can hardly hear anything but the flow, in the distance, of the river that crosses the village. The staff are affable and discreet, the places are perfectly clean, and I had a wonderful time!

We stayed at Elite for two nights in mid of June 2016. It is very centrally located and at very short distance from the Zermatt main station, the Gornergrat station and the town main street. It has several eateries around. The Klein Matterhorn station is about 15 min walk away. Mrs Grand is very helpful and speaks good English. They also give you complementary pickup and drop to the Zermatt railway station if you need (I had called them, since I did not get email responses). Breakfast spread is sufficient. Rooms are just about the right space and are clean. Bathroom was huge and well maintained. One tip: If you come in the summers, the sunlight is there till 9pm. But most shops and restaurants close early, by 6:30pm-7:30pm. So, you need to plan your dinner outside accordingly (since Elite doesn't have dinner services). You may get deceived with time if you only rely on daylight. Also, the room heater in Elite is automatically set to heat up when the temperature drops to freezing point. But if it is around 8-9 deg C, it may not heat up the room. So, if you are a warm place creature, be ready to wrap yourselves in an additional blanket at night. Overall, a pretty good hotel with good value for money.

Staff was rude, decor was very dated (and we stayed in the modernised building), you have to pay extra for everything (shuttle bus is 5 CHF per person and won't take you to the centre of Zermatt), breakfast is a rip-off. We arrived just after 9pm and they didn't have anything left to eat for dinner. The spa/wellness area looks nice, but could certainly be better. The jacuzzi is a bath tub you have to fill yourself and the fantasy showers are freezing cold.
