Rooms are very cozy & invite you to linger. The spa area is top! The massages highly recommended. On arrival we were very kindly welcomed by Tanja, it was like coming home even though we were here for the first time.
The food is super fine and varied. The service just great. A big thank you to Emilia and Jelena, you do a great job, you are in a good mood and you feel welcome. You don't even notice that you are completing your training. Chapeau!
All in all we had a wonderful time here and we will definitely be back!

The staff was invariably extremely friendly and helpful, to a degree that I have never experienced before in Switzerland. This also applies to the partner restaurants such as the Papperla Pub and the Schäferstube.
And the food was very fine.

Your bed is done during the day and at night as well.

Beautiful hotel. Very friendly at check in. Rooms are modern, large, great amenities. Fridge fully stocked with various drinks (included int he room fee! ) Heated towel rack, sun roof, lovely view of the river. Breakfast has wonderful spread of options: cheeses, meats, fruits, juices… all delicious! 5 minute walk from the trains station — with car service to bring you back tot he station at check-out The staff really went above and beyond for us — we left our iPad in the room at check-out, only noticed once we had boarded our train. With the train scheduled to leave in under 10 minutes, we called the hotel and they were able to run up to the room, find the iPad, and send a car to the station — we got it back 1 minute before the train left! Talk about incredible service, can't thank them enough!

Would recommend to everyone and anyone! After my wife and I completed the Haute Route we stumbled to Zermatt and scrambled to look up hotels on our phone. After looking online and calling a few places, we decided to walk into Alpenhof and check it out. The price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. But the service stood out, and then some. It started from before we even booked a room — they took us up and showed us an available room, to see if it would suite us. The room was beautiful and incredibly comfortable. The staff was very attentive and amenable to all of our requests (extra coffee, extra pillows, extra shampoo/lotion, etc. ). On top of that, the food and cigar lounge inside the hotel were excellent. Ali, our server that night, was exemplar and we continue to tell people about his service and assistance as we were dining and after we transitioned to the cigar lounge. Ali was hustling serving numerous groups, yet he still was 100% attentive to my wife and I. Alpenhof has one heck of a employee in Ali, and across the board from front desk to room service personnel. Although we did not get to explore the spa and pool, the hotel has daily tea and pie, and offers mountain bike rentals — all additional benefits of this hotel. Without hesitation, I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area for one or more nights. We did not want to leave!

I cant say enough good things about this hotel. They are family owned and they treat you like family. So comfortable and nice. Shout out to Ali the bar tender. Ali is a great host.

Chic property. Excellent views of Matterhorn. Zermatt station pickup and drop. Mini bar complimentary and refilled everyday. Breakfast limited options for vegetarians. Wouldn’t mind staying again. If one is lucky, can have Indian vegetarian food option, if a large group is also staying.

Unfortunately we did not stay at the hotel but discovered their restaurant during the winter/summer 2018 seasons. Impeccable standing Restaurant with a surprising value for money. The restaurant (or some restaurateurs) is abusing a passing clientele. This is clearly not their case. The staff is very professional with a slightly hushed and family atmosphere that all make its charm. I would highly recommend their establishment. Hotel Alpenhof C is that we are looking for a visit to Zermatt. Thank you Teams.

Loved our stay! Gracious staff was very accommodating. The hotel has an excellent breakfast and amazing spa with multiple saunas and a Jacuzzi. I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Zermatt!

This is a brilliant hotel. I travel a lot for work and pleasure and the Alpenhof ranks among my favorite hotels in the world. Service is impeccable, the restaurant is excellent serving local fair from the valley and rooms very well kept. Location — less than 100M to the train up the mountain so easily walkable with skis. I travelled here with young kids with allergies and the staff could not have been more helpful. We had a wonderful stay and we will definitely return.

Just what you expect from the Julen. Class, great service, modern facility in zermatt wooden style. Can only recommend.

We spent our ski week (9 people) in Zermatt. Due to very confusing "reservation confirmation" without any apparent total amount, we have unfortunately stumbled over a very important detail — at check-out then the shock. For over CHF 700. — per night/room (for 3 nights therefore approx. CHF 10 ' 500 in 4 Alpine-chic rooms where you can hardly turn around in the shower, so small were the, as well as a "deluxe double room for single use" for another CHF 600. — per night/room (how does the term "D Eluxe "? ) then you have much more noble expectations. For this price we would have written other addresses in Zermatt. Despite repeated contact, our wish for a small discount was not granted. At a next Zermattausflug a different hotel will be preferred and accordingly we can not recommend the hotel Alpenhof in this respect.

Outstanding service and spa! Very cool food and bar area. Room felt really good. Everything very modern and in perfect state. Overall, superb experience. May be expensive but easily tops most (indeed cheaper) five star hotels in the US or Germany. Food was very good but there is some room for improvement.

Charming cosy place with was very good and cigar room is amazing.

Excellent 4 star hotel right beside the lifts. Very friendly staff, nice pool and saunas. Jacuzi was broken which was a downside but when it works, its awesome outside in the snow.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We stayed 9 night's and the breakfast was amazing, rooms very comfortable and clean. Housekeeping checked in multiple times a day if desired and constantly replenished soaps, towels, and drinks. Atmosphere was so relaxing and they seem to offer everything you could think of, pool, spa, bar, and ice skating including skates! We toured their family sheep farm for free and had such a great time. They transported us to the train station when we traveled to Italy for the day, and also made a very early drop off at the train station the day we left at 515am. Without asking they even packed us lunches for the train since we would be missing breakfast. They literally think of everything! We absolutely love them!

Amazing hotel. Great room with views of Matterhorn. Impeccable service and a friendly attitude. Included a visit to the family farm in Wednesday nights. Spa included and wonderful.

Very well. Home at the top. Delicious restaurant and beautiful room. Two three faults in the room but given the served and welcome we ignore! On the other hand the dishes of our cups and glasses of our room in the evening in the sink of our room and this without products (not to do). And very hard to get an appointment at the Spa a pity!

My room has a phenomenal view of the Matterhorn from my bed. Can't ask for better. Service was great. Restaurant excellent. If there were 6 stars I would have given it.

Love this hotel. I always try to book it when visiting Zermatt. Rooms are very nice, a bit kitch, but that gives it a special touch. Their spa is the best of the hotel with an awesome whirlpool and a massive outdoors sauna, it really is nice to go there after a ski or hike day. The bar is also very cool, and they say they have one of the best restaurants in town while Ive never tried it.

Very nice hotel, excellent service, quiet.
Exceptional SPA area and ideal location in Zermatt, very close to the train station.
On the other hand, the restaurant offers a 5 course menu very tempting.
