Location, location, location. If you need to stay near the central station. Savoy is hard to beat. But there’s room for improvement. The room we stayed in had definitely seen better days. It was really worn down and the bathroom smelled funky, in a bad way. To our surprise when we opened the mini bar we found an opened candy bar, which someone before our stay decided to put back, half finished. Not what we expected to find. Another problem we had was that the booking system on their website did not work at all. A problem they later told me they are aware of, but I wasted around an hour trying to get my booking through. I will try something else next time I’m in malmö.

We stayed 2 nights at this great venue, managed by Elite chain. Very good location (at 2 minutes from the central train and bus station) and at 5 minutes walk from the great historical squares of Malmo. What impressed me more was the architecture and the interior of the historical building. We had a junior suite! The breakfast is very good widely diverse.

Outdated hotel that needs a lot of renovation and upgrading. The room was too warm during April with no AC. Opening the window is an option but you need to have ear plugs then. If your room is located at the higher floors, then you need to take two lifts.

The price of the hotel stay was at the lower end, my rating has that in mind. I stayed two nights in a one bed room. The room was fairly small, but it contained a bed, desk and chair, a armchair and glas table, a TV on the wall. So at least to me it wasn't at all too small, I could be in there comfortably. I have no complainants about the bed except that the pillows could have been thicker. As a whole it seemed well cleaned. The wall paper is getting a bit old however. The bathroom wasn't too bad either. There was a shower cabin which wasn't built in, but rather stand-alone. The silicone and plastic has been along time on this cabin, there was clear discoloration but looked like normal wear. This gives a little dirty look, but didn't look to be a real problem. The toilet and sink were fine, there was also spare toilet paper. Shower gel, conditioner, lotion and shampoo was given, as well as towels in three sizes. The breakfast offered consisted of bread inlc. Condiments, cereal, muesli, milk, youghurt, coffee, juice and some more. Tasted well. I didn't experience any real issues during my stay. Everything went well and the room seemed in order. I cannot give 5 stars due to the room simply felt old, there are plenty of uprades that can be made, but to the price of my stay it deserves 4 stars. It's a good option.

Best location in Malmö and really nice staff. Our room was outstanding! Had a little problem finding the sauna and the gym was ok but not state of the art — but total this is a clear 4+ hotell in swedish standards.

Bit of a let down compared to reviews on the website. Front desk very friendly and welcoming. Hotel old and would benefit from some refurbishment. The stay was comfortable. The main redeeming features are location to other sites. And breakfast is big and plentiful.

It was nice stay although I didn't pay attention to the information posted on the elevator which adviced all the guests about the fire drill the next day so I was surprised waking up because of the fire alarm.

Super old fashion hotel yet providing and coping every modern needs. Super restaurant and pub both bringing you good food and great wines. Nice breakfast. Super location.

This place was great! Would have rated 5 stars but the lift was broken had to carry our bags up 3 flights. Other than that they were great, very friendly room was awesome and they held our bags for hours while we trekked the town.

This place is decaying. I get the sense that at some point in the recent past, this was a rather glamorous hotel. All of the woodwork is battered and bashed, there is wallpaper peeling from the walls. The carpets are stained and frayed. The lift is temperamental — we got stuck between floors and the call button failed. The suite was a nice size and we got a corner suite — the view can't be grumbled at. The standard of cleanliness is appalling — no signage is required for the toilets as you can smell them long before you find them. The breakfast was mediocre at best and the place appears to be run by gum chewing teenagers with bad attitudes. Attempted to call reception on where to dine — phone not working so a long trek to the lobby was required. To be fair, Edwin (reception guy) was superb but the rest were surly and rude. It appears that low standards are the norm here which is at odds with the decor, fixtures and fitting which at some point I imagine were lovely — alas, a clear lack of any form of maintenance and woefully substandard cleaning makes this a deceptively dirty, shabby and smelly place to stay. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Older but in decent condition. Few amenities. No heat control in rooms, but they're generally a decent temperature. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Very classy hotel, but a bit of a strange stair arrangement where old and new parts of the building adjoin. Many international celebrities have been guests of this hotel. It's in a nice location for walking tours, and also was right across the street from where one boards a Flixbus to Copenhagen — very convenient. Very helpful staff.

Good room and good breakfast.

The staff deserve a 5 star review. Everyone was wonderful and so helpful. I docked one star b/c the bed could be updated and were, for me, uncomfortable and seemed worn. But, it is located in a great, across from the Central station and close to many restaurants and shops.

Excellent Hotel, cozy ambience, very close to the city center and Central Station with its shopping center. Nice staff.

Savoy is my favorite of the three Elite hotels in Malmo. Old building with high ceilings in the rooms and there's a uniquely captivating feel to following the labyrinthine corridors, that don't seem to follow any sane floor plan. Also there's elevators that only go between random floors, not all the way. It's all weird and interesting at the same time. Rooms are spacious and well arranged. Service is very good.

Often places with great views are expensive and have marginal food/service. That is definitely not true of this place. Service was exceptional as Veronica seemed to know exactly when to bring each course and knew about the food presented in detail. The Hake we had was cooked perfectly and all the courses had an exceptional presentation. The views were great too! A bit pricey but well worth the cost!

A nice experience at Elite Hotel Savoy.
Great suites, gym and sauna and breakfast.
But since it was Valentines day, I hoped that the hotel maybe had planned a small romantic surprise at our room — but no.

The interior was very beautiful and very clean. The pub and restaurant are close and good. The only problem for me was that there were a lot of stairs and I had very heavy balls. It is an old building so the stairs was typical but not appreciated that day. Breakfast was very good.

Very disappointed after I have had a very good service on Elite Lulea for 11 months (staying 1 week/ month). I come for pleasure with family but been weaked up by strong notice dropping staff, construction site was next to my window. I mean 30 cm next to my unopening window. I felt very bad treated when I've asked for other room.

Very centrally located with good standard and serviceminded personnel. It has quite noisy and cramped rooms. The breakfeast is OK, but not fantastic.

Nice to see a well run luxury type hotel in downtown Malmo. I would like to see a car valet service and some type of help upon check in (does bell boys exist in Sweden) Other than that room was great and restaurant and bar offer high quality food and cocktails. Will be back here next time I'm in town.

Given budget room at back which is what I paid for, however was woken at 6am by trucks collecting rubbish and bottles from street. When I complained they said they had had other complaints and suggested next time I upgrade to a superior room at front of hotel!

Not customer friendly, but location is great.

As a Budget Minded Traveller we try to stay in hotels between $50.00 and $75.00 per night. This was our first time in a high priced hotel and first time travelling abroad. We found this hotel to be excellent even at the extra cost. Close location to Train Station and shopping room was nice bathroom was Incredible, and on this trip the only hotel with seperate soap and conditioner along with being the only one with a coffee maker in it's room. When we go back we will budget to stay at this hotel again. Breakfast Buffet was Good.
