Excellent relaxing break! The rooms were nice and clean and extremely comfortable. Staff was friendly and welcoming and knew how to serve the guests. They went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable. The hotel atmosphere was absolutely amazing and the private beach is a great place to relax and relax. Overall the hospitality was excellent. 🤘

The best hotel We’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, and the rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. The Breakfast was great, the location was a great and peaceful place with the bird's sounds which we liked it. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting to Southern part of Sri Lanka. Special thanks goes to Loganathan Ganatheiban arranging us a quality vacation with full of surprises on my birthday! Hi there, we had a nice time at Anantara 💙 especially my daughter loved it. She loved the play area, craft area and pool. The atmosphere was so cool we loved and the food was yum 🤤 and the people were very helpful and sweet. I’m pretty sure we will visit Anantara and Avani 😊

Ayubowan! Well, where do we start! This resort has to be one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived where we were greeted with a traditional welcome dance, the service from the staff has been beyond impeccable! From the concierge staff to the reception team, from the cook, the waiters, the greeters, the gardeners to the cleaners, you are all what make Anantara Kalutara what it is; Truly outstanding. Even in such difficult times that you and your country are facing, you made us feel so relaxed and comfortable. There are many names we forget but a massive thank you to Tara, Siva, Eranda, Tharanga, Sajani, Kalpani for their amazing hospitality and thank you to Lalith, Piyumi, Suranga, Karutha and Sanka, you guys couldn’t have done enough for us…. You always knew what we wanted before WE even knew what we wanted! Apologies we can’t remember everyone else’s names, but please pass on our thanks! Each and everyday, every single member of staff would greet us using our names. You are all beautiful people, so calm, welcoming and peaceful. Thank you for our amazing Ocean View Room, the views were brilliant and the room standards were just amazing! Thank you for upgrading us to the villa…. Wow…. What a gesture! And we can’t believe all the detail you guys think of that go in to all your rooms, villas and suites! Thank you to the cleaners for always leaving us little surprises each day! These guys are a true testament to the Resort.

Beautiful & amazing resort and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. They will bend over backwards to help you. The food is absolutely delicious & compliments to Chef Aruna. He is best of the best. Thank you Chef and all the staff.

We have had an amazing experience in Anantara specially the New Year’s Eve was very enjoyable from the food to the music and the service everything was great. Thank you to the team and Siva the manager who attended to all our needs with a smile. The spa was a relaxing experience and really recommend the therapist there.

I am staying in this resort, their service is great 😊 All the hotel staffs are friendly especially since it was 14days room quarantine for us, their support during this time was all we needed 😀 wonderful view from our balconies 😎 complimentary herbal tea twice a day (definitely needed during this pandemic) 💪🏻 good food 😋 spacious room 👌🏻 all together best resort 🥰

Gorgeous hotel. Loved the staff. Rooms are great. What I loved about it was it had a pillow menu. Wow they really thought of it to the T. Highly recommend it.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the deluxe pool side room. This overlooked the infinity pool with the Indian Ocean beyond. Huge and beautiful modern bedroom with great facilities. excellent public facilities, with several dining options available.

Interesting welcoming affair with traditional dancers upon arrival. Nearly all staff are friendly & attentive to your needs. A star goes to Ms Sahani who surprised us a very personalised cake with our photograph on it to mark our wedding anniversary and the photograph is edible. There is more, this hotel has cream of the crop, superb chefs in Acquolina Italian Restaurant whom I felt deserved more than Michelin Star. You MUST come savour excellent dishes by Executive Chef, Prabhash Prabhakaran. Simply Excellent!

Nice hotel surrounded by wind and sea breeze. Can easily access beach side from restaurant. Beautiful in the evening. Service is great. Food is also good. Spacious parking available. Restaurant view and stay is amazing with the swimming pool and calm sound of sea. Have a well maintained swimming pool. Have a good variety of indian food also.

A luxury resort with luxury amenities. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Excellent food at the restaurant overlooking the pool deck. Friendly staff. Very good service. Highly recommendable. Water sports can be booked through the hotel in the lagoon.

We were there for a family holiday — absolutely fantastic. Amazing hospitality, great rooms & facilities, the pools are brilliant, and well placed for local excursions. Relatively close to Colombo (90 mins) so you don't spend half a day traveling to the airport either end of your holiday. The experience starts on check-in with dancers and music welcoming you and guiding you to the check in desks, every evening the sunset is greeted with a local dance. The food is great in the hotel restaurants (try the hoppers at the breakfast buffet! ), and the nearby local restaurants are great (And great value) too.

Very nice place! I love the food. The service is 5*. People are so friendly and fun and helpful. They even mended their menus to accommodate our requests. Very generous. You get surprise refreshments, ice cream, fresh fruits for free throughout the day. Mosquitoes are the major problem. We're a week after the visit and the kids still have mosquitoe bites on their skin. It's a real turn off unfortunately. We couldn't open the glass door that leads to the grass and lake. 10 seconds are enough to let the bugs slip inside your room. Free yoga and other classes everyday. I believe this was the most generous resort we've ever been to.

The team was excellent, from the arrival and having the arrival experience was fabulous, I had stayed 2 over two separate times to ensure I would be able to check all good areas in Sri-lanka.

A lovely resort in perfect location. I had a great time with my friends. I loved the location since its separated from the noisy roads. Rooms were clean and tide, but I wish room service be better. I stayed around 2 days and very satisfied with the food, location and atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and they always had a smile on their face. Its very unique hotel since its in the middle of island which you can enjoy out of busy road.

The Beach is lovely and isolated. Perfect paradise expierience with hot sun. Service is okay. Not sure about the stay quality ans food.

Very nice resort on the west coast of Sri Lanka. Has a great Spa, and the staff at the resort are very friendly and helpful. Rooms have nice balconies and the bathrooms are great. Resort has 2 pools and beach access.

Great place with the river on one side and the sea on the other side. We had a wedding. The food was excellent. Tasty and variety, display was also great. Staff helpfully. Rooms are super luxury with the view of the river. All in all, it was a great hotel.

One of the best hotels in Kalutara. It is located in nice and calm place. The road leads to the hotel is little bit narrow, but when you reach the hotel you will forget it. This hotel is well designed and the ambiance is really nice. It is a good venue to organise events. The staff is very friendly.

It's an amazing place surrounded by sea to all three side. Its a perfect place to escape from the hustle bustle of the city. With good an warm staff.

The place and everything was good and the staff should be more pleasant to the customers since there were some arrogant staff members as well. But when it's come to the service one day the took 1 n 1/2hr to serve club sandwiches for us and it was the most worst thing I have ever got from a star class hotel.

And has water activities when the sun is out. The 3 restaurants aqualina spice traders and olu had everything that suited my taste buds … very happy.

You should ask about Faizal he is the man of the resort what ever you asked him he is ready don't miss the chance to meet him. Another tip while u r in the resort you should have your dinner at spice traders ask for Tharanga he is the man of the restaurant ready to help u with any special request and even better than you expect.

City Escape, The One Night in Kalutara: Really enjoyed the overnight stay at Anantara Kalutara. Felt very relaxing after my stress in Colombo. It was about a good 1.45-hour-driving distance down south. Wished to stay longer but no time. The staff were really nice and I was impressed by the good bye praying (sorry, do not really know how to call it). Only enjoyed the tub in room this time, will definitely be back for the huge pool as well as fitness for sure.

You can really connect with the location and experience 5-star services at the same time. Staff are very friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Loved the food at all 3 restaurants. Spice Trades offers authentic Asian cuisine with great taste! Breakfast at Olu is to die for. So many choices. One of the best I've ever had. Aquolina serves amazing pasta and risotto. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy their time in Sri Lanka.
