The zen atmosphere at the hotel is wonderful. The beautiful gardens are alive with birds, beautiful tropical plants and a huge pool sets the tranquil scene. We stayed for 3 nights and did a game drive to Yala, organised by Oliver. Everything was seamless.
Oliver and his family treat their guests like old friends.
We ate at the restaurant almost every meal and the food was fabulous, some of the freshest we have had. The breakfast was really great, fresh fruit, toast, eggs any way you like.
Oliver makes The BEST Margarita cocktails ever.
The staff are so lovely.
Our rooms were spacious, clean, great Wi-Fi and aircon and ceiling fan.
Nothing is too much trouble.
I would highly recommend the hotel.

This hotel is situated in Tissa in a very quiet place. Staff very friendly, the rooms & the bathrooms are bigger than a lot of places. The food is amazing (sri lankan & western menu). They can also help you for a jeep to go to Yala or Bundala. It was perfect, thank you again and I will come back for sure.

Hospitality on the part of Préscilia and Oliver, the charming couple of hosts franco-sri lankan (and also filipino), as well as their very professional staff. It is a haven of peace where the only sound you hear is the singing of the birds. We had the chance to see a peacock doing the wheel in the garden! The rooms are immaculate, spotlessly clean, spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful flower gardens and the large swimming pool. Refrigerator, kettle for tea or coffee, everything was thought in details for the comfort. The restaurant is excellent (barbecue every evening, varied menu), the bar offers numerous cocktails, there are board games, a space for yoga, a spa…
And Préscilia is very involved in the craft industry : she creates small decorative objects, and distributes the works of local artisans. These memories friendly are on sale in a small shop in the hotel. It is the ideal base for who wants to go explore the park of Yala. We also had the chance to be accompanied by Préscilia during our safari and to see three leopards, which has been completed to make this stay idyllic.

As a tour operator in Sri Lanka most of ending round trip down south beach and before our clients love visit Yala National Park and there very best place for stay Blue Turtle hotel at Thissamaharamaya. My clients are happy with the hotel. Place is so calm and with facility. If anyone needs to stay near to the tissamaharama, Yala this place is more comfortable for your request.

Except for food prices all are ok. might need to come down on the menu prices. quality rooms and very friendly staff.

Very clean and well arranged hotel, run by a couple of very friendly French. Beautiful swimming pool where to bathe in the sometimes intense heat of Tissa. The quality of the welcome, the premises, the meals make it a first choice hotel. In short, I highly recommend.

Beautiful peaceful place with swimming pool. There are peacocks in surrounding area and they visit hotel. Variety of birds can be seen.

Families run hotel. Very likeable people. The reception is friendly and competent. Oliver is fluent in English and French and has super travel tips. The large pool is wonderful. The hotel is quiet, off the main road. Large, comfortable rooms. The facility is well maintained. Beacts as if new. Restaurant also good. Wlan floods. Super TV programs. Among others net geo and hbo.

Good updated rooms with all facilities like free Wi-Fi bar large swimming pool. Rooms are surrounded by greeny garden in silent place. Good food but in hotel restaurant food is expensive and they have only a short menu its feel bad for us.

Poor menu choice, chicken arrived undercooked twice! Our room was boiling hot and the air conditioning was struggling to cool it down and was very noisy. When speaking to the manager the following day we found him very dismissive of the problems we experienced. Worst place we stayed in on our tour of Sri Lanka. Shame as the pool area and the hotel in general is nice.

Great hotel, warm welcome from the owners. Very clean, air-conditioned room, huge swimming pool. A perfect place for chiller before you go on a safari! Go there with your eyes closed.

Not having the tissa lake view but good hotel.

This is more like a forest resort. All rooms are facing a very large swimming pool. This hotel is a venture of ex French chef of Sri Lankan origin. Large rooms with mosquito nets, large French restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere.

I really enjoyed staying at the Blue Turtle Hotel with my family and friends. Rooms were spotless. Very neat place, beautiful scenery, especially the pool. I super love it. Delicious foods were served by friendly staffs. Two thumbs up for you! :)

The Blue Turtle Hotel has beautiful landscaped gardens, clean comfortable rooms, a great 25m pool and a pleasant restaurant overlooking the garden and pool.
As I was there at a very quiet time, dinner was a set menu with 3 choices for each course. The food was tasty. Breakfast was simple with a choice of different styles of eggs, bread, juice, fruit and tea/coffee.
The Wi-Fi worked very well in my room.
I enjoyed my short stay.

Nice Hotel, the lt. Statement of the owners, 2014 was opened. It has a small Bar and a Restaurant. The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated, but also very noisy. It is tucked away, so that without a car not in the place.
