Lovely Location, Nature, Friendliness of the staff, The Breakfast! — You will feel Welcomed here! ” The Manager is a very friendly and polite guy, he arranged us the breakfast in the treehouse even without asking, you will love it here if you like the views, nature, and birds singing in the morning. The Breakfast was a delight, and the service was 5****, I think foreigners, hikers, and nature lovers would love this place! Room and the bed were comfortable, spacious & there was a Tea / Cofee maker with all the stuff you need! + Complementary water bottles! The roof was really high, in fact, ones you are inside it's like you are in a 5* resort, Only a few small things to be improved. To be objective, Room was better than average, air-conditioned and with a lake/river view (we were in room 101) there was a small water leakage in the bathroom, and the shower door was broken but no big issue there, overall there are small aspects that could be improved without spending much to make this place 100% perfect. *if you look for a 5***** & 100% cleanness, this is not the place for a perfectionist. — No Wi-Fi in rooms — (but this is not a big issue as in Sri Lanka you get about 5 GB data in 4G with dialog for less than 2 USD) — there is Dialog TV / paytv in the room but only a few channels were available.

Beautiful hotel near dambulu oya.

This place is extremely nice and cozy. The river front and the tree hut make it more natural. The restaurant is quite decent, but you need to order food in advance. But only issue you will face is Wi-Fi doesn't work in rooms. You need access only at reception.

We faced a terrible experience at this hotel during our stay. I don't even want to imagine how worse it is. But, I think it's good to acknowledge everyone to avoid this place. Following are the main reasons I need to highlight. 1. There are dogs and cats all around the hotel. It's a terrible safety issue if you are staying there with kids. 2. The swimming pool is not clean enough. Actual look and feel of the swimming pool are totally different from what you are seeing on these images on the web. 3. Hotel staff said that the whole hotel has only two pool towels. Guests have to go to the pool with the towels provided at rooms. 4. Room TV connection got disconnect suddenly in the middle of a very favorite movie. It took around 12 hours to fix the connection issue. (They use daily top-up TV connections. When the line get disconnects then we have to stay till they top-up it on the next day when they find a free time) 5. The room has a telephone connection. But, reception never answers the phone. Especially after 9.00 pm, there's no one to answer the phone. You have to wait till next morning even though it's an emergency call. 6. We stayed there for two nights. They provided only two water bottles to the room at check-in. We need to find water and other requirements our own if we are staying more than one night. 7. On the second night, we asked to deliver dinner to the room. Yes, they did it but, none of the plates are covered. There's nothing to close the plates.

Very nice place with good River view. It is surrounded by trees so there is adundant of natural beauty. Peaceful place. It has swimming pool also. Has decent restaurant. The staff if good and helful thought not every body there speaks English but still they try their best to understand you.

February 2018: Super nice manager Lakmal and very friendly, lovable staff. Everything you want or need is made possible! Nice room with large window and balcony. Quiet location on a river (we had no mosquito problems), small swimming pool, tree house with table where you can eat.
Food to choose from, the Sri Lankan food (curry) is particularly tasty.
Highly recommended because guests are treated so affectionately.

Good Hotel, Nice Foods & Hospitality.

Located in an area away from the usual highway traffic. Has neat and spacious rooms. There are two dining halls, one in the ground floor which is bigger, and the first floor area has good view of the river. The service is fast. There is also a tree house in the garden area near the swimming pool.

I loved this place. The staff was great and the manager, Anaz, was amazing. We had breakfast and lunch down by the river. The pool was cool and refreshing and others in my group took a dip in the river. Our room and bathroom were both spotless. I had my morning tea sitting out on the porch listening to the sounds of birds and the river gloeung by.
