The stay at Tenerife Playa hotel was wonderful. You could choose from a lot of dishes. The rooms were clean but need some renovation. Everyday the staff changed the towels but unfortunately forgot after one day of my stay to supply us with water. The hotel is situated directly near the black sand and ocean (i recommend bringing shoes for swimming because there is a lot of rocks. During breakfast, lunch and dinner you have a chance to eat upstairs on a terrace where at about 7 there is a men singing in front of the hotel so that you can hear him singing.

Bad cleaning of the room, cleaners constantly open the balcony (someone can get in there). The food looks delicious, but in fact almost all no, cakes are delicious :)

The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was fantastic with good air-conditioning and very clean. Breakfast was amazing with so much to choose from and fresh. The pool area is great and clean. We will definitely be staying again.

Yes I know that this is 4stars hotel, but I'll gives 5's. So far, I can't said anything wrong. Food? Brilliant lots of different styles, start from English breakfast through the German style food ending on local products. This same I can say about dinner. Biggest surprise? Coffee, so f**** delicious. Lots of hotel attractions, and hotel is located in centre of everything. If you thinking about car ranting I will recommend to find some parking, because there isn't around hotel.

Nice hotel for calm holidays. Food was tasty and fresh. Room was simple but clean and with everything what is need to be. The location of Hotel is perfect: 50 meters to beach, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, but the street was pretty calm.

The stay was wonderful. We celebrated my mother's birthday and everything was perfect. The food and the benefits were very good. We will repeat, no doubt again.

Although the hotel is nice and the personnel are nice, when I arrived, my room was not very clean, with ants… and I have a two year old girl and there is nothing for kids-no entertainment or anything inside to play when the weather is wrong. Also, the combination of the all inclusive food is a bit weird and I found a thread on the potatoes. They could have had better variety. The snack bar is open and available for lunch at the same time as the food in the restaurant. It doesn't make sense that there is no food available every hour because.

It is the second time that I stay in this hotel. I think there's going to be a third. Very clean rooms, great service in the restaurant, good kitchen without big pretensions. Bar staff very friendly and helpful. Only note no information in Italian. But he's seeing that it's mostly German, English, Spanish.

From this hotel you can listen to the sea when waking up and during the day is there anything better? It is a very beautiful hotel, the food is delicious and all the employees are much friendlier than normal, always attentive to any concerns. The buffet is the best I have ever been to. Good hotel in a marked ideal, next to the lake and the beach of Martianez. It is a quiet place, the food is very good and the staff of the hotel is friendly and attentive.

Firstly, I wish to thank you for a wonderful stay at your hotel during this last week, it was lovely and I cannot find any fault in the overall hotel or staff during my stay. But — I do need to bring something to your attention which could cause you complaints in the future. On one or two of the days, during our meal in the restaurant we choose vegetables or lentils (as described on the translation sign above the food) when we started eating it we realised that there was meat in the dish that was not detailed on the sign. We are, like many people are today, Vegetarians and we were a little upset… We have not eaten dead animals in over 10 years until we came to your hotel last week. Whilst we can continue and overlook this without concern there are other vegetarians or people with dietary requirements who would be horrified at this. The food description on the sign made no reference that a meat was present and it wasn't at all obvious. On another day your sprouts had chopped bacon on them, but the sign did not tell us this (in this case it was obvious but still not listed). This will cause complaints by other people and it would be a shame as it only required the sign to tell us that there was meat within the vegetable dishes.

Have been here for 2 5 weeks and have moved three times inside the hotel. Stay for another 3 weeks. Except for 2 ladies at the reception, who speak German very well, the rest of the staff there is borderline (at the reception). No punctuality. 2x nasty Geruchsbeeinträchtungen by fecal odor in rooms 454 and 922. Previously, the smallest room in 451, which was pointed out at the booking to a guest with Rollator and this was mandatory contract entry. In addition, of course, also the odour impairment caused by kitchen emissions. I should have done more pressure in the past. But always everything was proven. At least 3 vacation days outage. No possibility to move before noon. Breakfast OK and rich. Staff there good. Good location and within the hotel for retirees (mainly England and Germany) good recreational facilities. Average age over 65 years. If you want to eat, you can wait between 10-15 minutes in the peak hours. Hotel is in a very poor state of renovation. Elevators etc. It's not going to be. Stairs carpet up to 5th floor impossible. Bar average. Otherwise like FrüheDas WLAN is unsecured. The beds are first class. R Rimini only no overfull beaches.

Excellent hotel ideally situated on the seafront with excellent views. The rooms are clean and we'll maintained, bathrooms could be considered a little dated, but are perfectly functional. Food is excellent as is the service.

We are always in Tenerife a very good temperature superb holiday.

The food is very good and plentiful, the décor is modernized 70s décor, the beds are big but a bit hard, the pool area is tidy but the water for January is a little too close tempered. The Wellness area is recognizably new and nicely done, but operated in a way that is not entirely suited to the guests wishes, but is lifted to efficiency. Overall a decent four-star level. If you want more, you just have to book and pay for a star.

I love this place, the rooms very well, and if you touch sea view then better yet. The Buffet is large and varied, also of quality. Reception, waiters, metros, and very nice hotel staff, the Hitel is very well located, you have a playita next door, many shops, a walk, Martianez lakes, what else can you ask for?

The hotel was okay. Unfortunately the reception has hardly spoken English and almost no German. The elevators were always full and it took forever for them to be there. In addition, my in-laws were stuck in the elevator. There was no excuse from hotel. Cocktails are still freshly mixed at the poolside bar. In the evening they are ready to come out of the VAT. Hotel room was clean. However, you could never open the balcony door as it reeked out of fat out of the kitchen. We had to wait a long time for a drink, which unfortunately cannot be eaten by ourselves. All in all, the hotel wants more than that it provides…

The hotel in an extraordinary place. The room was good. A little small. The right service. The hotel was very nice. Very Loose Christmas dinner. The New Year's Eve very well. Irregular reception. You notice a certain routine in everything. Missing something more Atencio to the customer.

Great location, good value. WHO Middle class 40s American couple with lots of travel experience. GENERAL Hotel with great location, walking distance to restaurants, beach, and easy to catch taxis. ROOM Nice, clean, no major complaints. They do charge you for use of the fridge, even if they don't stock it. The cleaning staff is obnoxiously loud, even if you put a do not disturb sign on your door, they knock at least twice, so hard to get over jet lag. POOLS and HOT TUB They advertise one as being heated, but they were all cold. Even the hot tub. We left for our next island before Dec 21st, but do see that other guests complaining that the pool lounges were taken by "black towels" is a valid complaint. FOOD Most of it was pretty decent, save for some badly cooked paella and meats. If you wait 10-15" when they replace the dish sometimes it is cooked much better. We definitely wasted some cuts of meat as they were too tough to cut through. SERVICE Front desk service has seen better days. An older white gentleman was not exactly customer service oriented. Dining staff was fine.

Great location. Sea View Fantastic! Room clean beds comfortable. Just don't book a Sylvestermenu. It's pure chaos. Pity otherwise all good.

Good place to spend holidays, opposite the Lakes Martianez. Reformed Hotel. Staff very friendly. Regular food, installation is pools and gym well from the terrace solarium wonderful views.

Hotel attached to the beach and the Martianez lakes. In the middle of the promenade. The buffet is good, the service very good and the pool full of banana with banana plumes that are very curious to see. There is a newer area and another without reforming. It's a good hotel.

First of all the place was nearly clean and nice. I got an amazing room with pool access. The food for breakfast and dinner where great. Especially in the evening they tried to change the menu. Fresh fruits, fresh juices. Downside, the bed was a "double" bed but it was only to single beds put together so I wasn't able to use it as a double. The mattress wasn't that good either and the climate was full of mold. Still enjoyable and 2 minutes from the beach.

Structure a bit old, but the setting is great with views of the cliffs and the sea all on pedestrian street. Great breakfast Pool very nice slightly heated in the middle of the vegetation.

A very good experience. An excellent deal, thanks to Manuel (Borjes) for being an incredible bartender and better person and thanks to Pedro, Tamara and Meru for being so close waiters and make the stay great. An amazing hotel that being on the beachfront offers you unsurpassed sea views. We recommend it to 100%. Thank you and a greeting.

Right now I am staying at the hotel and the staff treatment is excellent but smells bad the septic tank and the smell is very strong in the bathrooms apart is under construction and they are all day beating and with tools apart from the strong smell of paint if it were not for the Human treatment of the staff which is the only thing worth it would never come to this hotel and it's a shame.

What you would expect from a 4 star hotel. I think the services are great for a 4 star compared to the the other so called "4 star" hotels. Staff are friendly and ready to help. Prices were above average for the town. But saying that from my experience Puerto del la Cruz is more expensive than other resorts and the capital Santa Cruz.

My husband has been going to The Playa for 32 years. I have been going for 12 years (we met 12 years ago). Love the place and in the last few years they have refurbished it. Friendly staff good food and wine. Two lovely swimming pools in a beautiful garden. They now have a Spa and exercise room placed on the 10th floor with the most spectacular views over the sea. We go 3 or 4 times a year and meet up with lots of people who have become our friends. Best time to go is late September and October.

Lunch buffet organized in the middle of the excursion Costa cruises, much better than we expected.

We were disappointed with the standard room. It was small and needed refurbishment. We spent the extra required and upgraded to a junior suite which was much better. Reception staff were ok but the restaurant staff were absolutely brilliant. They were very kind and friendly and were especially nice to our daughter. The food was really good and our daughter loved the orange juice! The pools were nice and the location was great.

Bathroom barely cleaned with shower doors that do not work. Squeaky elevators from the 60s that make you feel like there about to plummet. Carpet in the halls seem like it's from the same era. Plane rooms with old wall AC units with dust filled in the edges, (don't even want to see how dirty the filters are) Parking garage 10 minutes walk. Dinner buffet was okay. Receptions seemed eager to feed you several selling points of other 'services' available. Locked fridge, no access to keep drinks cold w out ordering the minibar. Hat shower water a plus. Double bed is actually two single beds (this seems like it may be the standard). Claims free Wi-Fi but is very spotty and slow. Hear the plumbing from the bathroom next door. Small balcony with two cheap plastic chairs. Claims to be a 4* Hotel… Maybe once it was several decades ago.

Good views. Very nice… but the food leaves muxo k wish, the facilities drumsticks, aging rooms, smell of pipes, painful. No volvería a repeat.

Nice Hotel with views of the sea. Breakfast with a view on the sea was absolute madness. Clean rooms and nice little pool area. Too bad that the beach in front of the Hotel is not so easy to walk on. Fine Restaurants around the Hotel and small stalls. For the price a great Hotel.

Wouldn't choose this hotel again. When we first arrived, tired after a long trip, there was a festival happening right outside the hotel. A lot of loud, bass rich, competing music sources, which could be heard very clearly from my room. Reception were dismissive and we were told it would stop very soon. It was 3 hours before it did. Service from reception continued to be impersonal and difficult with poor people and english language skills. Restaurant staff and the breakfast were good. Wi-Fi was only available in the common areas, which was annoying for a 4star hotel.

The hotel has two distinct areas, an area refurbished and more current, and another that presents furniture and facilities decayed. Both in one as in another do not care for the details, we find a spot of black mold of about 30cm of diameter in the curtain of the bathtub and also the screws of the seat of the toilet completely full of rust. ¡¡attention to the residents of the canary islands!, we are not well received. We left before the end of our scheduled stay because of the staff, as soon as they learned that we were on the canary islands were very distant, but always within a standard of respect, but we saw as we tried time and time again in different ways to the foreigners, that was all the closeness and friendliness in spades. The only saving grace is the animation team. The food in general is fine, but reused a lot from one day to another and, for example, we find shells of potatoes that were hard or a potato tortilla with greens hard and dry. The fruit smoothies will take 9 parts of water and a fruit and therefore leave much to be desired. It is a hotel that claim to offer a quality 4-star, but it is because the H10 has not bothered to know what is going on inside. The next time we go to Puerto de la Cruz, with total security we will not make this H10.

Hotel recommended, Their strength, the staff are lovely from the time you arrive to the reception, passing by cleaning staff and pool, are lovely really His weakness in urgent need of reform, it does not compete with hotels of the same category in facilities.

The hotel is to pull there is damp everywhere, the walls are falling to pieces, the children's playground this old and very dangerous the swings are broken. The protection floor is super dirty and separate, the children's feet will fit between each hole. There are cockroaches in the rooms the only good thing is the staff … I wear a disappointment orchestra recently visit another h10 and nothing to do with this …

The charming staff, the location of the hotel, wonderful hotel to throw it away and do it again, very old, and many failures, regular cleaning, and the noise of the doors of the rooms to the close is strong and unpleasant, the terrace has no privacy as the walls that separate them have multiple holes and sees the lord or lady of the winged. I only stay with the staff, is the best of the hotel.

Arrived at the hotel very late at night. They offered me a late dinner as previously booked due to my late arrival. I found it an Excellenet service, as you would not know where to go and some food so late in the night to a place, the, which you didn't. The best to surprise when I woke up the next morning and went on the terrace: the views are incredibly, the sea and the Lake pool right in front of you. My room was quite high, which is what I recommend you should visit. I went down to breakfast, and I was more than surprised, then; a beautiful restaurant with fantastic views (even though the restaurant is on the lower floor as my room was). I sat close to the large Windows and had my breakfast, splendid sea views. I found everything that you can imagine. Also a grill, where ar could get eggs, bacon, what, done the moment you wish. I thought that this was a very good value for the money I had spent. I would like to mention also the good entertainment in the evening.

I live in Barcelona, travel to the Canary Islands for work often, and always I stayed at this hotel. Best of all is the staff; the staff always willing to help at all, always with a smile and is like being at home. Very good ratio, and the superb location in the Centre of Puerto de la Cruz. For me it is great. Also great food, breakfast is very rich and varied.

A very pleasant stay. The hotel is well located, right on the beach with a great view. All staff very friendly, especially the cleaning ladies, always smiling and helpful. The food very good, great selection, and the restaurant beautifully decorated.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and the first impression was very good because we were in an attic room with magnificent views, incredible. The staff very friendly and helpfull, food very good, plenty of choice in the evening and different things every night. The bar and entertainment very good, I spent very relaxing evenings on the bar terrace.

This hotel would not recommend to my worst enemy. We have been the week of 13 to 20 of this month and the only thing that saves this 'Hotel' is the staff of the restaurant and the bar. We've paid a 4 star hotel and in Exchange we have had the quality of a seedy guesthouse, not worthwhile or rate it. Rooms, food, nor the customer's reception is worthy of 4 stars that have. Since then we have asked sheet claims and because this in process. Do not I recommend it to anyone-.

Sincerely. I don't understand the 4 *. Basins with smell of sewer, limited buffet. Parking should be allowed it to 15 min. And pay 15 euros. I don't want to go back, not even to Puerto de la Cruz. Very dirty and three blocks from the Martianez Lakes with sewer smell.

Fatal service, it seems that they are all angry with anyone with a few exceptions.
A stupid rule prevents the gentlemen to dinner with shorts (breakfast and eat if).
The buffet, passable, although it is not very nice that the waiters are riding breakfast tables while dinner, seems to bother.
Room regular, our bed is a mattress, double with two single bed frames attached!
A/C doesn't make noise even shutdown, you're forced to unwind the current sleeping without a fritanga of noise in the ear.
Bath well.
No minibar in the room, if you want to drink something in the middle of the night you get to go to a machine vending and pay even with a TI.
Let's say that the target of the hotel are Lords greater foreign.
Special mention to the animators who are really nice in the hotel.
