SOL by Meliá Guadalupe

Just arrived back from sol glaadLupe, hotel needs a overhaul, lick of paint inside and out. Had to pay 30 euros for early check in and 40 euros for late checkout. Even though the hotel wasn't even half full! 10 euros deposit for each pool towel and you had to pay 1 euro if you wanted to change them. No kettle in our room so had to go out and buy one. Food good variety but luke warm. (There is a microwave) was half board but eat out in the evening a few times. Mainly due to luke warm food. Pool nice and spacious lots of sunbeds. Table and chairs. Staff mixed view some happy, some didn't want to acetate you if you needed anything. Weather was hit and miss mostly sunshine. Wouldn't return to this hotel but we had a relaxing time.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location is perfect — less than a five-minute walk from the beach and close to all the main attractions, yet still peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were beautifully maintained, cozy, and cleaned thoroughly every day.
The staff truly made my stay exceptional. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. A special shout-out to the security man — such a wonderful person who made me feel safe and welcome throughout my stay. His positive energy and professionalism really stood out!
Overall, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. Excellent service, a great atmosphere, and an unbeatable location. I’ll definitely be returning to this hotel!

In the restaurant, meals were mostly cold to berly warm for breakfast, and eggs were under cooked bacon, which was small rashers, evening meal, there was very little variation, and we was charged 2 euros for a bottle of water the evening meal time was 16.30 — 21.30 as soon as the hotel became full of Spanish Pensioners things changed meal time became 19.00 — 22.00, meals were slightly warmer, bacon was now full rashers but no change in the eggs and now water was free as water coolers were installed and now wine became free.
At the bar, I was next to be served no one else was waiting, but the lady walked the full length of the bar before returning to serve me same lady on Friday night at 22.50 she comes out and says the bar is closed but the young man told her he would serve me, after checking my information sheet it states the bar was open until 01.00. The other poor thing is the table. All I would say is a 4 star hotel with a 2 star restaurant the table and chairs would look better in a cafe or school canteen.

I stayed in the family suite of this hotel. Room was good however our stuff (kids shirts, thermometer etc went missing from the room that we noticed after returning in the evening. I raised this with the front desk informing the missing bag also has medicines for my kid. I was told that to go to tmthe local pharmacy to get the medication. Never had such an experience in any hotel : (

Amazing experience good food entertainment program excellent for all ages with fun pool gym classes everyday as well as night shows. All staff very friendly especially the entertainment guys. The only down side would be that the Wi-Fi connection wasn’t great in my room. Thank you from Antonio and Sofia for making our holiday more special.

Spot on hotel, from the start the lobby was spotless, everyone was really friendly on check in, made it up to our rooms which were lovely and clean, maids were friendly and understanding, TV worked, beds were good and balcony (pool view) was great — Lovely little gift left for us for our anniversary which was fantastic so thank you to the lovely guest relations lady who did this (we didn't manage to say thank you in person before we left sorry! ) We didn't manage breakfast because we were lazy but the pool side bar was good value, nice drinks served, pool itself was excellent, very little noise at all until our last day but it was nothing other than people having a good time so we are all guilty of that! Bottom end of Magaluf was quiet enough and close enough for everything, drank every night in The Piano Bar opposite which has excellent service and Tom Browns bar around the corner, highly recommended. All in all a brilliant stay, thank you again!

My negatives are the lunch food quality wasn't to my liking. I appreciate to cater for everyone's food taste is difficult. You need to go early to breakfast etc as it can get really busy. Sadly no kettle in the room. Restaurant staff could have been more friendlier. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Location was good near the beach and plenty of bus stops around the hotel. Good selection of shops and restaurants near the hotel. The hotel was clean and tidy. Had a nice view from my room which was on the 8th floor.

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel for 3 nights to celebrate my 40th birthday. My partner emailed beforehand letting them know it was my birthday. When we checked in, the guy called someone and the manager came over shouting happy birthday. The room was decorated with balloons and chocolate, cava and nuts were left in the room with a birthday message. It certainly put a smile on my face. We were bed and breakfast. Plenty to choose from. The pool area was always kept clean and tidy and the daytime entertainment was good. We ate at tom browns, black beard that were really nice on the beachfront. We also walked in to palma nova and had an Indian at tandoori nights. Our last night we came home to another bottle of cava with a note saying safe journey home 😊 would definitely recommend this hotel for the hotel itself and the location.

Following previous good stays, we decided to go back.
Nothing special.
No evening meals aloud on the last day, and the staff were no help to resolve the situation. We had to go out and pay for our meals.
No shower, washing or WC facilities for most of one of the days due to a technical situation flooded reception and foyer.
I understand that this was beyond their control, but to a paying customer there were no offers of recompense, i. E. An evening meal or something.
Very poor.

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel, which is conveniently located near the beach. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable, and what truly stood out was the staff's kindness, attentiveness, and promptness in addressing every need. The hotel offers a wide range of entertainment and activities for both children and adults, all organized by an amazing team who truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a great time. The restaurant was outstanding, with highly professional and incredibly friendly staff who contributed to a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, hospitality, and vibrant atmosphere.

I don’t really have any complaints…
This was my first trip alone without adult supervision — me and my friends went on a graduation trip — and I was very nervous. Magaluf in itself seems quite scary, but reading reviews about the hotel I thought it would be a bad experience. It was not.
We arrived and checked in — the process went smoothly. Our room was clean with no problems, although we thought the AC did not work (it did we just needed to close the balcony door). It was cleaned every day and nothing went missing, we also had a locker to put stuff in.
Breakfast was amazing with lots of options. They made omelettes/ eggs and pancake's in front of you which was, for me, very new. Fruit delicious and vide variety of bread and yogurt. Deserts were also prominent and there was something for everyone.
The guests varied from students like ourselves to families, which made the hotel not too much of anything. Although this can be a seasonal thing. I noticed there was a bit of commotion on our floor and we as young adults may notice it less than others who stay here. But for me, it was not something worth criticizing the hotel for.
Our key stopped working once, which was due to it being near my phone and deactivating, and it was solved simply. The hotel staff were nice about it and not annoyed. Something to add with the reception staff is the availability. There is always someone there or close to the reception-24/7 — which means we could check out at 4 am when we were leaving 4:30.

Visited the guadalupe with a group of friends for a hen party.
First impressions hotel was nice, clean and large pool area. Snack bar was nice around pool also. We had breakfast included which was a bonus, the food was ok, lots of choice.
The air con did not work in any of our rooms.
Our bathroom STUNK of sewage. I reported this to reception who came and fixed the toilet as the seal had gone. Following this the toilet did not flush. I had to go down and report this issue again to reception, they fixed this issue promptly. The sewage smell returned and got pretty bad again, by this time we were leaving so I did not bother to report the issue again.
Another member of the group found silverfish in their bathroom.
We had issues every day with key cards. We were back and forth to reception asking for them to be reset to access our rooms, not once were any of the group asked for ID to prove we were staying in the hotel. The hotel is poor for security.
During our stay one of our rooms were ransacked and £700 was stolen. The hotel were not helpful at all and insinuated that either one of us had brought men back to the room or one of our friends had stolen the money.
Neither of these were an option as no one brought anyone back to the hotel (all married) and we have been friends for 25 years + and have never had this happen on any group holidays in the past.
To be honest this was quite insulting. We were also told “you’re in magaluf what do you expect”.

Lovely staff apart from one Barman who refused to put 2 bottles of baby milk in the fridge for us on our last day, as we had checked out.
No working air con. They lie and say it’s not working.
Entertainment good, location good. Nice atmosphere. The Rooms are clean but very small. Pool freezing cold. The food was absolutely terrible.
3 girls in a room nearby had all their money stolen from their room.
Definitely not a 4 star.

I was with my little family at the sol Guadalupe hotel from May 11 to May 18, we had room “731” with a view of the pool and the sea. About my vacation I can say that I am 100% satisfied with everything (the cleanliness of the room, the swimming pool, the activities, the breakfast and the Dinner, and shows every night…)
And I wanted to thank the general manager Mrs. Alejandra for her warm welcome and for the best organization and thank you for the cake for my birthday, and Not to forget the animators (Carlos, Diego) thank you very much for the entertainment for my child (Ayoub) me and my child we will never forget it, thank you to the animators of the pool (I forgot the names sorry), it was really unforgettable days I thank you with all my heart.
Recomiendo este hotel al 100% si quieres pasar tu estancia, hasta la próxima.

Location is good. Rooms basic not what I’m use to with a 4 star.
Breakfast was ok. Evening meal I hear everyone complaining about the quality and saying it’s not that good.
Plenty sunbeds, however weather wasn’t great when we came.
10 euros for towels — cash payment only. I only bought card so had to go cashpoint.
The entrance of hotel is lovely what a 4 star should look like but the rooms are more a 2-3 star.
No irons in rooms you have to pay to have stuff ironed. So iron before you come.

Been stopping at this hotel for the past 17yrs. Fab location, lovely & clean. Never had a problem… until now. Always stay half board as the food was lovely, always hot, always plenty of choice especially for my friend who is vegan. Definitely not this time. There's definitely been a change in the restaurant dept. It doesn't open now til 7pm, your starving by then! The food is COLD, my vegan friend had to warm her pasta & tom sauce in microwave as it was stone cold, something any guest shouldn't have to do. There's nowhere near the choices that they used to have. Always used to enjoy the cheeses after evening meal, they've now gone. Breakfast… Always had hash browns, now it's (cold) chips! Not sure if there's been a change of management or chefs but the restaurant has certainly gone down hill. There's a reason why there's a saying… if its not broke then don't fix it! It wasn't broke before but it certainly is now! I would have given this rating 5 stars but the restaurant needs sorting out. No one likes cold food!
