This was our second stay at this hotel and we were warmly welcomed back. It is a lovely, clean and friendly hotel with a lovely vibe. The hotel alo had a spa.
Breakfast was very good but my biggest issue was the lack of gluten-free choices at dinner. Most dishes contained gluten and one night every potato and rice dish contained gluten and the paella dish was a noodle one. Although plain grilled fish or meat was available every night, it was very limiting. Gluten free desserts were either jelly, ice cream, mousse or fruit. There was one gluten free cake, but this wasn't available every day.
The hotel charged €5 for two pool towels and €2 for each exhange, per towel. The safe was also at extra cost of €3/day as well as the €5 deposit for the key. These items should be included as standard in a 4* hotel.
Our other main issue was when we checked out. We'd paid the room bill the night before, ready for an early check out. However, the lady on reception asked us to show her our paid bill. We asked if she really needed this and she said yes, so we had to dig into the bag and get it out. I can only assume she wanted to check we'd paid for our dinner drinks the night before. She looked at it, said that's ok and that was it. All the hotel staff were so helpful, so to be treated like this on our departure, was unacceptable and left us quite upset.
We did enjoy our stay, but felt it wasn't quite as good as last year.
