Perfect location, very clean, ABSOLUTE basics. If you can not overcome your instinct for extras choose something different. A Hostal is not a Hotel. We had a private toilet and shower, the room with basic furniture, no wardrobe but plenty of hangers on a rail, good airconditioning, plenty of hot water, no refrigerator but there is one in the corridor you can use for a few things in order to have breakfast if you want to, a small electric kettle and a hairdryer in good working condition. Bedding was good not too soft not too hard. Our room was overlooking the street so it was only slightly noisy but in the morning we enjoyed the birds singing. ADVICE: The Hostal is on the 3rd floor. There is a small sign on the right side of the main entrance door written also in Japanese. I arrived late and was at a loss to find it. Got in all by chance because there was someone coming in. There are several entrances to the patio you walk in. The Hostal is on the right one immediately after the main iron wrought door. Go to the 3rd floor and ring the WHITE doorbell not the black one if the door is closed. Never really met any other person staying at the same Hostal.
