We experienced a high level of professionalism from everyone, we especially loved the front desk and restaurant staff. We miss everyone but will definitely come back.

It was wonderful! Rooms were magnificent. Across from park for walking!

I had booked a two night stay with my wife. As always, we booked non-refundable which I understand under normal circumstances should not be refunded. My wife had major surgery near the time of the trip and we had to cancel the entire weeks. Airlines and other hotels provided a full refund. This hotel would not even call me back! What a disgrace. I know this isn't a review for the hotel itself but rather the type of people who run it. I would really like it if this review changed people's mind about staying here. Even if it was just one person who decided to go elsewhere, I have done my job Zero Start review for this heartless hotel.

If you're looking for a Unique Boutique style and historic place to stay in then this is your place. There's a lot of amenities that are missing from a traditional Hotel but this makes it feel very cozy.

Hotel was very nice with a good location. The only problem was the lack of outlets in the rooms, there was only one outlet In our entire room. Otherwise very nice.

This hotel is amazing. It has genuine leaded classwork and a very old world charm. The kitchen is great and their selection of time is top notch with quite a few top shelf selections to choose from. The staff is also top notch as they were ready to help, made a ton of suggestions on places to see while we were in town. The hotel is quiet, has dedicated parking that is valet (No navigating tiny parking areas), and has great breakfast and dinner. It is centrally located to quite a few sites to see like the botanical garden, maritime museum, natural history museum and one of the biggest parks in Madrid. We have preteen children and even they were super impressed with this hotel.

We booked some nights for our wedding, the first ones for the bride and the last one for our wedding night. The staff in the hotel was soooo helpful and nice, they took care of everything we need during these days and we had some champagne and fruits in the wedding night as a gift. Thank you so much to the girls in the reception for their help!

An amazing hotel with beautiful old world vintage charm. That also means the elevator is tiny and there are 5 steps just to get to the elevator (there is a lift behind the reception desk to make it accessible but it was a pain to access that lift each time coming in or out). The continental breakfast is an impressive spread but the cappuccino was mediocre. They have a spa suite but the jacuzzi hasn't been working for 8 months. Why haven't they fixed it in that amount of time? And the sauna had a wobbly bench that needs fixing. Otherwise it was great.

This hotel has alot of positive attributes. The building is beautiful and likey historic. You will find wonderful stained glass windows and other features. Rooms are updated and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is steps from Retiro park.

Beautiful old palazzo but unfortunately highly modern restored to death. But if you like it in a modern style, this is a central hotel that is well kept.

This is a charming hotel in a terrific location next to the Retiro Park. (Great walks) The building is striking inside and out with a magnificent grand stairway. Because of its vintage, rooms vary greatly but all are well finished and prepared. Staff is consistently excellent. They don’t have a concierge so many staff members take on that role at various times. Dining room is low key but very comfortable. Many excellent small restaurants nearby. We’ve been here 4 times and are planning our next stay.

A palace, everything is like in a dream, comfort and luxury unpretentious, everything is in sobriety and this is exactly what we seduced.
Very good service and cleanliness of the impeccable places, the rooms are large and you would want to stay there a little more.

Class is building and room, not the usual high rise with modern furnishings. Good atmosphere an location, across street from Retiro park and a minute walk to main street Alcazar.

Location was perfect, just steps away from Retiro Park and 10 minutes from the train station. To get to Royal Palace or to Plaza Mayor in Madrid, though, it was 20 minutes walking. If you are hoping to venture to different areas in Madrid, be prepared to walk a bit — — although the Prado Museum is extremely closeby. The service was amazing and the rooms were gorgeous.

Everyone who works there is super friendly. On the other hand, we checked in on October 18th (Wednesday) when the price for 1 night was around $700-$800 euros! We (3 guests) walked into the room, the room did not look like a 5-star hotel at all, it only looked like 3 stars. It was too small and definitely not 5-stars! Anyways, after exactly 4 minutes, I personally walked into the bathroom to use it and I was the first one out of the three to walk into the bathroom since they both walked into the room and passed out on the bed and none of them checked the bathroom out, I pulled the toilet led up trying to use it, and I was shocked! There was old/yellow drops on the top of the toilet (where you sit)! Yellow drops of piss! Yes! I was so shocked! For the price of that night and a 5-star hotel, they must put plastic wrap on the toilet just to show it has been cleaned recently! Anyways, we called the reception, the manager showed up and her reaction was like it’s fine! All she said is that she’s going to send someone to clean it! Really?! For a 5-star hotel! We cancelled with them and went to a normal apartment whih was a lot cheaper and a lot bigger and it had a balcony, and the first thing I did is went to the toilet, I opened it, and there was a plastic wrap on it! And that apartment is only 3-4 stars!

Over the years I have stayed in way too many hotels to remember — however this hotel is the best of all! The rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean but most importantly is the staff. They were kind, courteous and answered every question and need. We ate every breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The food was good and the ambience comfortable and relaxing and quiet. I would go back to this hotel for the staff alone! Thank you, Alan and Nancy Fischer.

So absolutely charming and in the PERFECT location across from the Retiro park and near the golden triangle of museums. Food and service are impeccable, reminiscent of Europe's finest, and rooms are spacious.

I got moved from another hotel here and received a free bottle of wine as compensation; very thoughtful :) The staff was very helpful and friendly, the rooms have a lot of space but have been way too cold for my taste. Other than that, great experience!

I am currently on my 6th week at the Palacio. The staff is kind, very supportive and attentive. They have become my family away from home. The hotel is unbelievably beautiful and has earned it's stars. The location is perfect and I would recommend this hotel to anyone short stay or long stay.

Wow such a beautiful hotel. Feels like you're staying in a Palace. Concierge was very friendly and helpful with recommending two little coffee shops/breakfast places for us to go hangout at until our room opened (we got there at 8 am and they had one for us at 9am. Talk about good service! ). Beautiful Christmas tree in the entrance and beautiful furniture throughout the place. Our room was very nice. The bathroom was huge and spacious. They had robes for us AND a towel warmer (so weren't cold getting out of the shower). Supplied us with toothbrush kits, shaving kits, anything you could have forgotten. For example, we forgot a converter (we are from the U. S. And they let us borrow one as long as we returned it when we left). Stay here!

Location was very convenient.
Close to Park and Prado Museum.
Was able to walk and see quite a few of the recommended sites.
First room was very small (308) I think. We were moved the second day to a very nice room.
The staff was incredibly helpful.

I stopped by to see a friend who was staying at the hotel and we had breakfast while we had a chat in the restaurant. The service was polite but at times they seemed to me that they were interrupting our deep conversation without really noticing. Maybe a bit more subtleness would have been in order. Other than this my brief visit was a pleasant one mostly due to the company of my life long friend.

Were doing a session photo for a brand of clothing. Use the lobby of the hotel and also its surroundings. The service is very friendly and ready to help.

I'm here for a couple of nights, but so far the service has been excellent, the food was good, and the rooms have been spotless. I have no qualms with the hotel at all, they have done a wonderful job of making sure my stay has been good.

Loved the "penthouse" suite, overlooking the park from the point of view of the gargoyles. The service was impeccable.

This is a very good hotel, operating its employees very well, we go to local traffic, they do a considerable favor. Our limited time in Madrid, so we take a taxi. Our room like a converted attic room in Manhattan, perched on a swing stage, glass partition block shower, place to sit is very large. Room not very comfortable, but enough. The front desk we were converters, used in our United States equipment, because the outlet is Europe-wide. Stairwell …

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Wifi is very unstable. Location is great and within walking distance to a majority of shops and restaurants around proper Madrid.

Helpful staff. Location location location. Room was clean but smaller and awkward for such a high level of hotel. Spa and fitness center are being renovated. Golds only get a continental breakfast, but good if you get the fruit since they give you small croissants and chocolate pastries with coffee and orange juice. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

A very nice hotel next to retiro park. The facilities looked awesome from the inside when I visited it. I wasnt a hotel guest per se as I just went in to use the restroom because there was a protest around that area and everything else was closed; but wow, what a place. Would be nice to actually sleep there. Maybe the staff should have better control on who comes in and out though.
