Hostal A Nuestra Senora de La Paloma Hostel

First time stayed in the hostel. Location is ideal as it is near all the major attractions which are within walking distance. There are good number of bars and restaurants nearby so location wise it’s perfect. Room is good enough to spend a night to sleep. It’s was small and bathroom was big enough for a person to fit in. And this place has an elevator which we came to know after we climbed 3 floors.

This is probably your city-home in Madrid. You feel like a member of the family when you check in. I had a single room, quite small but ok, and it is not too far from the underground and Town-buses.

We touched a room with a breakdown in the bathroom, water came out all the time and the floor both of the bathroom as part of the room were wet. When they told them, they put on a little tape and said that nothing happens that no water would come out again. At 30 min The floor was just as wet.
We didn't like the hotel.
Good thing we only stayed one night, they become more and safer we moved from hotel.
The only thing they told us was that they were sorry but we were not moved from room.

It is a very simple hostel, clean, nice and very well positioned, just 100mts from the door of the sun.

Good location, kind staff however very small, bad condition. But 3 stars are given considering cheap price.

Everything was pretty much fine at first glance — very VERY basic but we didn’t pay much so understandable. There is mold growing all over the shower, gross but I let it go, again, we didn’t pay much. However, our first night and it’s totally impossible to sleep unless you are a very deep sleeper, disturbed by nothing. The road below sounds like it’s in the actual bedroom, it’s so loud with cars and people talking all night long. What good is a hotel, if you want sleep.

Very cheap and super friendly staff.

To me I travelled alone and spent more time walking it worked perfect. I stayed four nights and the price-quality ratio fits very well considering the location of the place, in the heart of the city and close to representative places of Madrid. I would definitely stay there again.

Very bad. I'd put a score zero. It is very ugly the place, cleanliness is bad. The bathroom is too small mido 1.50 and weight 46 kilos and I'm sorry he didn't come in. All the old décor. Recommended Zero.

My husband and I stayed at this place last month. I don't recommend it. I gave it two stars because, when they were there, the staff was friendly and it is centrally located. Everything else was negative, there were bugs crawling around, even on the bed, which was uncomfortable to begin with, the heat could not be turned off and we had to compensate with smelly A/C. The room was dark, small and depressing. The list goes on, I just don't have time to continue. I hope this helps.

Very nice and clean.

Although the room is not as good as the hotel, but the staff is really great, we lost luggage, they also help to call the latest situation, and take the initiative to reply to our baggage has arrived will help us to keep good care of the service, really feel intimate.

Ubicación/ Location. No puedes estar mejor colocado en Madrid por el precio / you can't beat the location for the price. Bathroom is tiny like others have mentioned, but this is probably the only minus it has. Staff is helpful and friendly. Aircon worked properly which was important these hot summer nights. Oh, and the IS an elevator too which was a nice suprise on arrival.

Great location. Decent rooms, old building so a little small. We had water from the shower leak into the room. Overall good for the money.

Very nice and friendly staff but our room has a window that from on a cavedio (so practically no light all day) and the walls are really thin.

Terrible place, avoid! Book a room in hostel for a few months. We had fly to Madrid at night, but airline postponed flight and we arrived in this place in afternoon. Previously, we send an email about flight changes and once again receive confirmation from hostal about earlier ordered room. But when we arrived at hostel at recrption they told that don't have room that we ordered and offered us a small doghouse room without windows. On our question — we ordered room for a long time and you have confirmed it, we have not received any reasonable reply from receptionist. Fortunately it was not night and day, and we were able to find the another room in other hotel. In conclusion, the hostel has off money from my card for one night. Choose a different location, don't start acquaintance with Madrid from this place.

Great accommodation, friendly staff and super attentive. It is located in the center of Madrid, in two minutes walk you go to Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Clean room and bathroom. Great value for money. I highly recommend it for both the staff and the prices as well as the proximity to all the attractions! Until next time.

This is a nice little hostel with lovely welcoming staff. The location is brilliant and the prices very reasonable. Would come again for sure!

The hotel is close to Plaza del Sol and the metro station. The position allows you to visit different places of the city moving on foot. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are small but it's enough for a good weekend in Madrid.

The hostel is located next to the Puerta del Sol and fairly adjusted price for the location. It has no breakfast but there are many cafés and restaurants in the area. The rooms are clean with towels and soaps and enough to spend a couple of nights. In addition, the girl at the front desk was very friendly and helped us with transport. That's great!

Stayed here over the weekend, perfect location close to all the buzz in Madrid. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff are extremely friendly. Will definitely be back in the near future!

It is a somewhat regular. Our room was a wall, was not bad of such, but was not very clean. The entrance to the room da Peña, the wall is half-ruined. Some time ago I went, as has improved it.
The location is great and is very cheap. If you go with friends and just want to sleep and be close to the Center I recommend it. If you are a demanding little better look for something else.

I stayed for 3 nights. It was the cheapest in the area, very near Plaza Mayor. It was clean and the staff very kind. I would recommend it.

Central, clean, cheap and very well attended.
from this place you can go to camionando everywhere, as it is located in the heart of the city. It is open 24 hours a day, it has free internet, bathrooms in the rooms and a good heating in winter.
We will return.

To start we were two couples who had previously booked by internet two rooms with double bed. They gave them a room much more big that the other and had a small bathtub, to us we had a room extra that just fit the bed, nor had bath, only a very low shower that very difficult to use, after our complaint to the owner, the US promised to us Exchange room, but not fulfilled his promise left us in the same room without any kind of compensation, the room had a shutters that were the passage of light (to my x such that bother me much) and not be could cover in any way, the bathroom door was sliding plastic ones that sold in all € 1 and was damaged. The price I found it excessive and unfair as that is we collect as well as the other couple had a room more large, therefore not never again at this hostel, or will recommend it, although it can be said this brilliantly located and catches everything very to hand, but clear for similar price there are better things in that area.
