Nicest hostel I’ve stayed at. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Pretty much in the heart of Barcelona, a quick walk to the metro and many shops.

Nicest hostel I have ever stayed in my life! No joke! Amazing sangria and phenomenal breakfast. Comfy beds cute toiletries.

Very nice looking hostel. The ambience at the bar was great and the cocktails looked amazing but unfortunately one of the bartender didn't seem amused by the fact that I had a "Welcome Shot" and took forever to serve us. I guess he didn't like the fact it was free. Another bartender did notice and came to serve us right after he finished serving one cocktail. In general, they should have been more friendly.

Everything was perfect : the room, the place, the location in the center of Barcelona, the rooftop with the pool, the entry with digital print, the lounge, except the breakfast. There was no sausages, neither salmon nor scrambled eggs. The juice was not really juice in cartons or in glass bottles. There was shower gel and other products but no shampoo at the room. But I am very satisfied, and I will come back. I recommend you that hostel without hesitation.

TOC Hostel I was surprised at the best of the senses. It is clean, comfortable, with nice staff. Not a party hostel, in my experience it was a quiet stay. They leave €10 deposit for any inconvenience and you return it to the exit. Good value for money.

Very nice hostel. Definitely recommend. Stayed in a room with double and two bunks. Clean as a whistle and very comfortable bed. Breakfast simple but good. Plenty space to chill. Excellent base for an exploration of the city. Would definitely go back!

First of all! … When the guest arrives (client), that the employee or dependent will secure the collection and deposit of money in the account of TOC HOSTELS!. (It is the typical slogan of a badly managed company).
It would not be better business policy… That the customer is always right and you have to treat it well to return!. Well, there's the secret of any business.
Why TOC BARCELONA and TOC MADRID do not have the same owner and share page?.
If there is a mistake in a reservation for the city of Madrid and it was for Barcelona, why not take care that the client does not pay again in Barcelona. As demanded me!. Not good… Not good. Lousy!
Second… TOC is another company, that launders money?.
Why do contracts with your employees last such a short time? They do it for convenience or, just… by human exploitation?

Great value for the price, clean rooms and tasty breakfast every morning. Heating/air con couldn't be regulated properly from the room.

I stayed in Toc Seville and everything was great, superb location, super friendly staff and nice tapas in the centre of Seville. From the room we had a view of the cathedral. I definitely recommend it.

One of my favorite hostels I have stayed at in Europe. Fair warning, it CAN get pricey depending on how full the hostel is, the higher the occupancy, the higher their rates. Personally I had rates as high as 52€ per night (Weekend with a convention in town) but it was worth it. There is a 24/7 staff there to help you and give you tips and tricks for enjoying the most out of Barcelona! Their breakfast is 6€ most mornings from 8am until 11am is totally worth it. It was a great price and a limited (in selection) buffet. Saw others had noted about security and things being stolen, there are huge lockers present in the rooms. I used this and didn't have anything of mine go missing in my week staying there.

Excellent hostel with all the services, the only negative was the mattress that was sinking with ease, but able just was mine. I recommend it, well central you get to any place on foot, good hygiene in bathrooms, and excellent bar/pool for socialize.

Ideal location. I would recommend a better attention at reception. Cubicles of baggage in the first level (impossible to accommodate things in the second level) and the showers should have hangers where to support things.

The room was very nice, tidy and cozy. Intimacy has a high value in the hostel. The staff is very nice and they are available at any hour. Also, the fingerprint locks are amazing! But I still could not stop wondering if I left the key in the room everytime! Keep it up!

Ive stayed here on a well needed 5 day vacation to Barcelona, and u absolutely loved every second. The staff are extremely kind, assisting and speak multiple languages. I booked a mix 8 bunk bed room and the quality surpassed all expectations. Each bunk bed is very clean comfy and have a little light switch and 220 outlet. Will definetley come again and maybe try the suites.

Very rare places to stay and uncomfortable by the fact of sharing room with strangers, the worst thing that can happen to one. The price is the least or if it is beautiful or ugly.

It's a very modern place. The room is small but has everything indispensable. Also the hotel has room options with more economical shared bathroom. The location is great, just a few blocks from Plaça Catalunya. Breakfast also very good. The place has a swimming pool on the terrace.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great seating on the terrace. Breakfast is ok but too much sugar biscuits. Music in the lounge is a bit too noisy.

Beds are comfortable, showers and rooms clean. Air conditioning works. The hostel also has a good reputation on the spot. The fingerprint scanner serves not only as a key for the rooms, but the staff can also detect and serve blacklist candidates at check-in. With these guests, other hostels in Barcelona have a lot to fight for…

Very clean and quiet rooms. There are shared bathrooms in the rooms and outside of them, and they are quite clean. Breakfast is very abundant with quality products. The juices aren't worth much. I can't give the 5 stars since at breakfast, it costs €6 not included the decaf coffee. If I wanted to, I had to pay €1 more. I didn't like that at all.

We were very comfortable here, the facilities are of good quality. We used the kitchen and it was always very clean.
It is very well located. Recommended for groups.

Good and cheap meets best, great location in the middle of the city!

I showed up late in the night as I miscalculated my drive time, so the reservation was cancelled by the system due to no show. But "Juan", the guy at reception was very kind and found me another bed with no extra charges. Good value for money. The location is very convenient and well connected, just 10-15 mins walk (depends on your pace) to "La Rambla" and the Gothic Quarter.

Great if to choose between a hotel and TOC hostel I choose the TOC.

Very nice hostel. Good value for money. Rooms are great (even dorms, each bed has its own plug). Free breakfast (which is amazing) and cool bar. Friendly staff. There is also a pool. Loved it :)

My favorite place, so nice, modern, clean and friendly. I loved the pool area :D it's just so smart how they built this place perfect for when traveling alone too as you make many new friends. Breakfast was soo good :D.

The location is great. The hostel itself is almost at the level of the hotel. Almost 5, but 4 for the service of the staff.

TOC Hostel is super clean and modern, also has good central location! The lock system with the fingerprint is really great! You don't have to worry about losing the key, which was a huge advantage for me otherwise the food could be richer, but you'll be fed up and that's the most important thing. And what is very important for me is that the hostel looks the same in the photos from the Internet as in real.

Awesome facility with plenty amenities for everyone. Kitchen, Laundry and extra lockers for storage in all different sizes. Located in the city for easy access to all Barcelona has to offer.

This hostel is very new and the truth is that the location was great. Very close to Universitat and a walk from Plaça Catalunya. The room of 8 was very spacious and clean. However, as negative points I have to point out that it has a common area with tables in which we took the food and drink for dinner and did not let us drink anything as the drink forced you to buy it in the bar of the hostel. I found it pretty bad as there was no sign to indicate it.

Not a bad place, but could be better. You have to bring your own padlock, towel, or otherwise you sell the lock and you rent the towel. By the way, no where to hang up the towel.

Really nice rooms and good location in Barcelona. Rooms don't have shared showers if you worried. The room for 4 had some really neat bunked bead setup. Feels very european yet is familiar to tourists.

Pleas don't use this hostel. Very disgust smell in the corridor and room. And room condition is very dirty. I feel so long time not clean the room. So I request for change the room, but very rude staff is always say "i don't know" So I change the my accommodation. I can't any refund. Please don't use this hostel.

Great staff, extremely helpful with questions. Clean! We got a private room facing the street. A tad noisy because of local traffic, but nothing you cant sleep through. Rooms and common areas are always extremely clean. Great location — very close to the metro system. A bit on the expensive side, but for Barcelona I believe the price is very reasonable.

This was one of the BEST hostels in Barcelona. Finger print entry, huge storage locker. Comfy beds and super clean room. Access to bar/lounges in the facility as well as rooftop pool and plenty to do!

Was absolutely great hostel which felt more like a hotel. The rooms were very clean and modern and the rooftop pool area provided a lovely spot to relax in the city. Thanks :)

Really amazing. I only stayed one night but it was really comfortable. The reception are really helpful and directed me to a great spot for dinner. The dorms are spacious, with large lockers and beds that provide decent privacy. Each bed had a light and wall sockets. Hostel has good security. You use your fingerprint to unlock doors which means there's no chance of losing your key! The bar has a great atmosphere with DJs and drink specials. There's also a pool which unfortunately I didn't get a chance to use. There is air conditioning, an elevator, laundry room, kitchen & large storage lockers. Also the location is good, very easy to access from the airport and train stations. Only downside was the showers: there were no hooks anywhere, no space to change, only one sink and it was unisex (which is a little awkward when there's no where to change). There was a shower in the dorm but the door was broken so wasn't very private.

Personally I would say that this is the best hostel (hostel) that I visited and where I stayed in Barcelona … Close to all and far from anything lol, highly recommended.

Check in was very smooth and any requests were responded to with ease. Staffs here are warm and very knowledgeable about Barcelona. While the vibe is informal and laid back, there is no doubt that this is a highly professional set up like Wi-Fi login is done through Facebook. The property is made up of clean lines and marvelous interiors, wooden staircases, ornate ceilings, tiled floors that certainly adds to the vibrant and unique character of the hostel. They claimed to have the perfect accommodation suited for your needs and budget. And we couldn’t agree more! Stylish, modern and spotlessly clean are the things we immediately notice upon entering our room which uses a fingerprint system to open. Our room is a Suite for 2 where we have reading lamps and closet on each side, a small work desk, 40” TV with international channels and a private bathroom with complete shower amenities. The best thing about this room apart from the modernity and cleanliness is the beautiful balcony where we have a glimpse of the city every morning! AC is also controlled in our room but we haven’t used it as it was cold during our visit. We had the best sleep in their ultra-comfortable bed!
When it comes to facilities, this hostel knows how to please guests. They provide continental breakfast with more varieties as compared to other hostels. A kitchen that's spacious and clean. A terrace and pool, 24/7 open market, a bar, lounge area, laundry area, 2 computers.

Barcelona — The place is very nice and in a good location but the front desk staff doesn't make you feel welcome or seem caring to help you. I had a bad experience with them and another guy on my bedroom too. The common areas are nice but for the ones who like to meet other travelers (like me) it lacks that kind of spaces. Feels more like a hotel than a hostel.

Youth Hostel Place University in Barcelona. Very nice setting, friendly. Recommended for a stay with friends. Affordable, good quality breakfast, located close to public transportation.

Good location. Delicious breakfasts. It is possible to take free guided tour. The airport Shuttle bus stops just outside the hostel at night. The entrance to the room is by fingerprint. If you want to close your closet with things you need the lock. Bed linen and towels are on bail. The main disadvantage is problems with the cleanliness in the rooms.

The service is disgusting. The staff charged money from my card without permission and before even my show there. Furthermore I booked a place in Toc, and on booking site it is said that they don't charge a cent before my appearing. However they used my credit card for other reasons and as they said after — by mistake — charged money from me. I travelled a lot but I never met hotel staff that acts like that. Nice decorations, ugly team.

Nice hostel, but NOT safe and STAFF that do not give a fuck.
What was supposed to be a 7 nights stay turned out to be 3: I was robbed inside my own dormitory during my third night. All the care was not enough — even with my personal belongings inside the cabinet and appropriately locked (with my own locker and password), some asshole who checked out the day after stole all my money. I did not feel safe so I decided to check out earlier to continue my travel staying at a previous coworker's place in the city. There was no way I could continue in TOC Hostel. The feeling of unsafety only grew as I was traveling alone. Everyone knows there is no arguing on whose responsiblity it is for personal losses when it comes to hostels, so I never even started it. However, the minimum that TOC Hostel could have done in this situation was to refund the nights I was not staying any longer — which they denied to do, due to protocol. As a consumer who chose TOC Hostel among other options, I felt very disregarded of respect, and specially disregarded of a more humane service towards a delicate situation. Thank you for ruining my stay at Barcelona — I will have to come back to explore the city once again, but surely, it won't be at TOC Hostel. And no, I do not recommend a place that is incredible structurewise, but has a poor spirited staff who is taught to keep protocols no matter what, lowering our status of people into mere consumers of your poor service.

Very good hostel, clean, tidy, with very good amenities, pool and terrace very good.

A/C is a lie until sundown. Bar is closest until someone "mans" it. Been waiting 45mins without an Ask. I don't intent to visit next year.

Super Bar, with a relaxed music, cool ambience. However, the Pool was without notice and without compensation due to maintenance closed.

Very good breakfast with buffet. Rooms large and well arranged. Wi-Fi free and fast. Located right in the centre. Recommended. Whenever I come to Barcelona I highly recommend it.

Bad service … You don't change the sheets, afternnon … Dirt everywhere. The wall at the side of my bed had a squashed bug. For the rest it not x these things is a great hostel. Great design … chic recreation area, nice indeed. It's a shame.

A brand new hostel, newly opened in an excellent location (200mtrs from the plaza and metro universidad). Reception staff super friendly and efficient. Private rooms with TV and bathroom, and the room is shared for up to 6 people. It has a terrace with swimming pool and a bar on the ground. The environment is not super backpacker, or whether it is recommended for couples and families also.

I had a pretty bad time here despite that the building is nice and clean. The only reason I stayed here is I had a GREAT time at the TOC In Seville but this place sucks. The only common area closes at 1am. It doesnt make any sense. Literally they force you to go to bed. There are no chairs in the lobby or anywhere. Ive never stayed at a place that locks the common room. One night I had some calls to make and work to do (on USA time) and I literally sat on the floor in the lobby for hours. The only alternative is keeping your room mates up all night. And that beautiful outdoor patio/pool — that closes promptly at 10pm. Though I understand that due to noise. But the common area is inside far from any rooms. It makes no sense that they close it. Also. There is not one single hook in the bathroom which is stupid. Our air conditoner was broken for three days and it was miserable at night. There are also ALOT of kids and families here, so if your a backpacker like me seeking adventure and meeting people this definitely isnt the place for you.
