It's very filthy. It's also cheap if you only need four walls you can use it. The location is good.

BED BUGS: Stayed there three nights and I ended up covered in bed bug bites (about 80 of them). I’m on antihistamines, I cannot go in the sun and my stay in Europe is ruined. Plus, they didn’t want to reimburse me. Avoid it, not worth destroying your perfect holiday. Overpriced in old building, and noisy.

It's perfect location everything is very close walking and the staff is very friendly and always very helpful.

We took rooms for 2 with a small balcony everything was at the top.

Too dirty we spent a bad stay cold room poorly slept a neighbor yelled at us because we used the elevator because for her who lives in the same building for years she calls the elevator and waits 10min. It's intolerable. The zero breakfast with croissants packed in plastics.

I like very much, very familiar and excellent attention, good location my pleasant experience.

The location is good, we had to walk to the tourist. Good breakfast, one of the wealthiest I ate. The rooms well, not so spacious but if big enough. Lockers with individual keys and in each bed/bunk had a ledge and individual plugs. I had a fan too. What if the bathroom sucked, lots of smell and the shower was flooding while you were bathing. Everything else, all right.

Very good location, nice for groups. Good layout for those who attend.

The building is old, the floor is marble at the entrance and has an old lift. I loved it, it's a quiet hostel, the people at the front desk are friendly and the breakfast is nice. The rooms are normal but the location is great! I recommend it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. But still a bit far from the old town, 13 mins walk to Plaça Catalunya… (relatively far of course)

I love here! They are so kind, good quality of the bedroom and the equipment. The Wi-Fi works very well. Near the metro station, so cool!

Amazing location, place, cleanliness and breakfast. They made me feel at home. The location is very very good and the receptionist like Tom are excellent as I was continually asesorandonosing about places to visit and eat.

Very good location, nice and cosy kitchen. But not cosy room, no windows to the outside. Sometimes no hot water in shower (you have to wait for it).

Cheap and cheerful. Perfect for what I needed as I don't like being kept in doors by a television (no television) rooms could be a little bit cool with air con but what do expect at this price per night. It's a perfect hope in hope out place to stay. There are a lot of stairs to get to your room (there is a lift but very slow) better pillows are needed I need a good sleep to set me up for the next day and they are pretty bad I would give it a extra start if it had better pillows (pillows mean a lot to me). It does have a kitchen for everyone to use and breakfast in the morning. If you want dinner just go to the supermarket around the corner and grab some ingredients and start cooking and share if can Overall I give it a 3.5 out of 5 for a hostel that is. Compared to a hotel maybe a 3 which is expected. I had a smashing time in Barcelona and bubba house was rather convenient as it's 50 yards from Las Ramblas.

Buba House has a really down to earth atmosphere. Cool, colorful entryway and great for visitors to Barcelona looking to meet others and do both tourist and local stuff during their stay. Check in is simple and most of the room options are small/ easy to deal with (6 person room for example). Pretty centrally located to other hostels and major attractions. Overall would recommend if you aren't looking for any frills but want a cheap good stay.

Just about ok. Budget place. Cheaper than the rest I guess. We paid about 50 euros a night for a twin room (bath. It attached in the Easter week when the city was really busy). What I did not like: A bit noisy at times as it's a hostel Elevator did not work sometimes.

An awesome place to stay, the front desk guy is so nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and location is perfect.

The staff are lovely. The room and bathrooms are nice and clean. Great location. The only problem we found was the noise. We were right above the street and the noise from the traffic was so loud it was like there was a window open.

Fantastic location but the "single room" I was in can only be described as a cupboard with a single bed in it!

This is one of the best hostels in Barcelona — the staff is super nice and recommends amazing restaurants! The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are too. I absolutely recommend it to everyone coming to Barcelona!

Reception was good but room and bathroom were not very clean. The room can be very noisy because of the street and the trafic on it.

the whole house and the rooms are so dirty and the people are unfriendly and lackadaisically!
The pictures about the rooms and the house are unrealistic. The view out of the window is a terrible dark wall, 1 meters away.
breakfast? There is no breakfast, there ist a very small kitchen with dirty dishes and 2 toasts with butter and marmalade like the meals in hospital.
Never again! Waste of money!

The best Hostel Staff, clean place, nice price. I passed one of the best nights here with the Staff and more travelers in a cold night talking about cultures, good music and swiss chocolat =).

Very nice staff here at Buba house.

Buba is the only hostel I ever stayed in Barça and the only one where I want to stay! The location is perfect: a central one, in a good and safe quarter. In few min walk. You can get Plaza de Catalunya and when you come back in the middle on the night, you feel really safe (and it's not few, if you are a girl travelling alone). The other "thing" is the staff (always there, 24h) : helpful people, funny, ready to suggest you the best places, pubs, events and concerts you cannot miss (thanks to Marcos, Marco, Antonio, Jesus and all the others! )! I always had a good time in Buba: you can take your time and rest, but you can always find somebody to have a chat with. There are not many toilets/bathrooms, but they are always clean and I never had to wait for a long time. Also dorms are good: not overcrowded, quite room inside. In general everything is clean and well kept (dorms, kitchen,. ). Definetely, I have already been in Barça 3 times and I'm sure I will come back, 'cause I love it. But I'm sure I will not look for any other hostel! :-).
