The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had a very expensive sweatshirt in the room and, when we called to retrieve it, it was gone. Very bad attention, they don't deserve the category they have.

Ideally located by the sea. Pleasant staff and good breakfast (although a bit expensive for Spain). Placed on the other side in relation to the historic city centre with shops and restaurants with tapas. But the walk is nice to do on foot … and a little sporty because it goes up and down well! There are however good tapas restaurants near the hotel, just a little less "Spanish atmosphere" for dinners. We'll be back with pleasure.

Old and run down room. Poorly conditioned. Deteriorated bath and radiator with rust detachment. Towels scratched by use. Tele small. Dirty entrance. Rotating main entrance door that does not work. Deteriorated carpets. Disabled access on the ground floor, conducive to causing an accident. Inefficient and slow dining service. Sloppy and tasteless décor. The hotel in general denotes neglect and neglect.

Fantastic hotel at the foot of the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They make your stay the most enjoyable. Complete rooms with magnificent views of Sardinero Beach. 100% recommended.

Friendly, helpful and courteous employees when you cross paths with them in the hallways or in the cafeteria.
You can have a coffee with pastries or toast for 2, 80 euros and have orange juice for 1o.
There are bus lines at the door that go to the center and also taxis a few meters away. You can park your car easily in the entire area.

Good location, next to beach and very nice staff… In addition, super equipped, modern. The only drawback is the air conditioning which is not very strong. But since it wasn't too hot it wasn't so much noticeable.

Nothing to complain about, the service is ok, rooms are ample and the beds comfortable. Breakfast could be better but it is very complete.

Hotel Silken Rio Santander is located on Santander's fashionable beach right on the beach. However, you still have to walk along the busy road to get to the beach. The rooms are rather outdated by the décor as well as the bathrooms. Overall, but quite cosy. If you want to hear sea noise at night, you're in the right place so you've booked sea views. The front desk staff is kept quiet and only greets if you are addressed directly. The service as a whole is acceptable. The clearly plus is the location of the hotel with the surrounding numerous localities. LG Tjf63

The hotel is far from a 4 star rating, rather I would leave it in 3. The rooms do need an upgrade, especially the bathrooms. The views to the interior overlook a courtyard-parking lot. The beds, at least 221, are so sunken that you can't rest. There is not a couple of complimentary water bottles, they are paid in minibar. No bathrobe, no slippers.
The location of the hotel is great. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room. The breakfast was correct.

It was a shame, I'll never stay in this place anymore. The hotel is crappy, indecent, nor the most affable person could assure that it deserves four stars. The only thing that made the stay bearable was to go with my partner, because in case the site annoyed us considerably our anniversary.
First we were given a room that was not appropriate, although it is true that we changed it, but to be more expensive the chosen one, it looked like a hovel.
There were parts that were dirty, the heat was unbearable and we couldn't handle the thermostat, so we spent most of the time with the window open, and still the night was terrible. We couldn't sleep at all, because when I say the heat was exaggerated, it's because the thermal sensation was over 35 degrees.
On the other hand, it is true that the outside, the reception and the hallways have a fresh and modern style, but what's the value of that, if when you walk into the rooms they seem taken out of a motel?. We could leave this aside, but then find black spots on the sheets, the aforementioned, or the absurd situation we live seeing moving the furniture to connect the TV, set up a sphere that makes you detest this site.
When you pay so much for one night, you expect a minimum of quality. Minimum not enjoyed, as I say. You're a disgrace.

La ubicación del hotel esta bien, justo enfrente de la playa. El desayuno bastante normalito y no sé si será posible tener una cama de matrimonio con buenas vistas…

The staff very friendly the room was clean the TV a little small, the room cute but the window was on the ceiling as it went into angle the wall gave a feeling of being smaller the room than it really was, the bathroom very good the hairdryer also.

Top floor facing the sea with beautiful sea and beach views. Lots of little treats which include an array of toiletries in the ensuite and candies to grab at the front desk. Decent cafeteria on the ground floor. This hotel is set in Santander's local resort area with loads of street parking.

The hotel is in an excellent position, a calm area of the city (except for summer) with spectacular views of all of Santander's east side coast, from Faro de Cabo Mayor to La Magdalena.

The hotel is very well located, in front of the beach (only in the middle of the promenade and the street), near the Casino and surrounded by buildings with a very cool architecture. Connecting rooms for large and comfortable families, good beds, good cleanliness, good views (a quieter to inner courtyard and another with sea view). Perhaps we would have to improve the small details of maintenance in the bathrooms, a bit deteriorated by the passage of time (rust, paint tubs, tiles joints), but overall we liked the stay in this hotel and the value of the relation quality/ Price is good. Attentive staff too. We haven't tried there breakfast so we can't value it. We have parked free and easily on a nearby street (Low season).

I was eating at the hotel restaurant called High tide. A real pleasure, well presented and elaborated dishes, with good service and views to the beach from the table. It has a daily menu at a price of €21. Excellent value for money.

I have flipao had room 420 a luxury that looked like Hollywood the receptionist girl a charm has left me a charger for the mobile that I returned to the next day hehe the walk next quiet place feel the sea next to finally cool.

Room OK, but information deficit so no breakfast and impossible to get reimbursed directly. A shame! For an establishment of this standing. In short: Dodo Super but awakening that stings…

It is a bit out of the way of the city but in return it is a very quiet area. There are a few cafes and bars around in case you don't want to have breakfast at the hotel.

The truth is in an ideal location near the beach. The room is quite spacious just like the bathroom, the bed very comfortable and really clean.
How negative things I will say that the thermostat in the room was damaged only hot air came out which made in the room a very charged and suffocating atmosphere. If you had the window to ventilate a little quickly you were frozen but within a few minutes if you closed you were sweating. The shower tap was also bad and you either washed with frozen water or with boiling water.
These things have been the ones that have made the stay a little more uncomfortable but otherwise everything was perfect.
When I book the room in booking it said that it had a view of the city but few views I saw and stayed in an inner courtyard.
The quality of the food in the restaurant amazing though for me a bit high price.
All in all for me everything is a little high priced both the breakfasts and the price of the room in if since the quality price for me was not very tight but I was glad of my distance in Santander.

It is a hotel that is well maintained but does not stop having its years, the smell of the rooms is very particular. The bathrooms are deteriorated although I would give them 3 of 5 because they are details that could easily repair. The location is amazing and good attention, the person at the front desk is very attentive. The cafeteria has a pretty small menu and some dishes like the noodles are very bad. Very close to it has restaurants of very good quality. I am being quite critical but if the rate is low it is worth it, if I would not go for another option for the area.

The bed and pillows were fine. The bathroom and the room were somewhat old and I think the room needs a remodel or face wash. The biggest problem was the heat I did in the evenings inside the room. We had to open the window when we were leaving so that the room was somewhat cooler. Being winter the air conditioner was not turned on, so there was no option to freshen the room any other way.

The hotel is right in general. I came to work and I slept late. But what was my surprise when, at 10:00 they began to drill the walls of the rooms close to mine, preventing me from resting.
At reception I was told that they had no choice but to do it, which was the last day.
I mean, they knew it the day before and they didn't tell me. I think it's really wrong.
On the other hand, they apologized and invited me to breakfast. But what I really needed was to rest…

Like every year, we spent a short holiday at this wonderful Hotel next to the beach and with many beautiful Santander sites to visit. And we'll be back next year.

Excellent hotel. The location is the first thing that I would highlight, but in addition the customer care and the excellent buffet breakfast make it my favorite of this city. Only indicate that you can rent garage places, but are not in the same building.

Hotel very well located, in front of the Sardinero beach. It has free Wi-fi for customers and a bar/restaurant within the hotel. The rooms are a decent size and well equipped, the only thing that I missed was an iron (which I could provide at the reception desk, although the bathroom needed an upgrade. As negative points, commenting that even though the reservation was made many months in advance, they gave us room inside and, when you ask for a sea view, we were told that these had to book them with time. Also to say that the rooms do not filter out the noise, being necessary the use of plugs.

Nice meal in the cafeteria. Friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices. Also it wasn't packed like so many places along the sardinero beach. Wi-Fi was also a bonus.

The only good thing are the excellent views of the Sardinero beach, in our room luckily had a balcony and we were able to hover. As a first complaint this to be a four-star hotel and with the price it has, the rooms are quite small. The bathroom is very old, with broken tiles, chip in the tub and we found some bugs in the morning. When we arrive at the balcony rail was completely rusty and full of cobwebs as if it is not cleaned up at all. Finally the air conditioning of the rooms was very bad and although on the street it was pretty cool (about 15-18°) in the room to much heat and instead of sheets we put a nordic in the month of August. In general, a disappointment we've been in 4 star hotels of this chain and the quality is always far superior.

Good place to stay and many rooms have views to the beach. It s not the cleanest or newest hotel but it is ok. Our room had mold on the bathroom.

My favourite hotel in Santander. The wonderful Sardinero beach is right across the road.

The location very good. The state of the hallways leaves something to be desired. The right staff. Price in line with what they offer. I've only been in December and aparcaba very well. I imagine that in summer it will be crazy.

4 star hotel come to less, because it is the beach front. Breakfast very, but very normalito, better book without breakfast and make it in the cafeteria for 3 euros. Very old rooms, rash on the walls, moisture and the bathroom, while clean, very bad care. A penalty. That Yes, the price out of season very well…

The hotel are the rooms overlooking the sea, care that there are rooms that overlook the back. Comfort, silence and the cleaning of the rooms also caught my attention. The hotel is magnificently located beach front. Highlights the room service they have enough items at a great price, Hamburger is spectacular by only eight with 50. However is somewhat removed from what is the center of the city, yet is no problem because there is a bus stop that leaves you in the Centre or the train station. The worst: free Internet connection is practically non-existent, television channels are those that appear in the catalog missing almost half of them, room style is perhaps something old but we liked us and seems appropriate, reception is small, and perhaps the staff is somewhat dry but I suspect that you have to measure more with the character of the area.

Very unpleasant at the reception and after climbing into the room and hear a hum in the box of lights, the solution they give us is to do electrician because they do not have the time.

The situation is very good, the beach of sardinero which you can download walk, ideally located for a walk by the Magdalena and 15-20 minutes from the city centre.
The rooms are quite correct (although not a little reform would come them wrong) bed (standard size 1.35) comfortable and spacious with all kinds of amenities bathroom. If you can take a room overlooking the beach.

Location makes hotels lazy. Run-down and overprized. Paper thin walls.

Rooms facing to the beach are more spacious, than facing to the opposite side, where the parking lot cause disappointing view and darkness all day. Bathroom has some dark black spots, hope it is not must… Restaurant I have no concern.

Cute home in ideal location with wonderful views of the beach. Unfortunately, it was around 20 at the staff not able to help us in any way to a dinner. The after sweat smelly waiter, has spoiled us, however, is already the appetite. A real shame to have the beautiful house!
