My daughter and I came to San Sebastián to celebrate the end of her study abroad program in Bilbao and my 48th Birthday. Hotel VillaThe Soro was the perfect place for us with a spacious room with a view of the front lawn and street, ample and beautiful bathroom, and relaxing common areas. The staff was not only very helpful, but delightful as well. The concierge’s recommendations on the best places for Pintxos was right on point, and he was very helpful in everything we sought help with. The Villa itself is perfectly decorated and has an understated elegance, which makes it perfectly comfortable and breathtaking at the same time. Also, the breakfast is magnificent. Highly recommend!

Boutique and magnificent hotel. Customer service, gym, café, room service, bike service and parking with proximity to the beach of the zurriola where you can enjoy surfing on days with strong wind and gusty.

The villa is spectacular and the rooms spacious and comfortable. The bathroom also and they have everything well taken care of.
The villa has several rooms and salt care all taken care of and the refined treatment.
If you want to treat yourself, it's a perfect place to come.
It is a bit far from the beach and the dining and pintxos of donosti.
I could have 5 valuation but they charge you well, which I think is reasonable.

The people who work here are ridiculously nice. So so so sweet. This hotel is a gem. It is so beautiful. It is an old mansion restored to an amazing hotel. Beautiful stained glass windows, ornate crown mouldings, decorative doors and the room was very clean and beautiful too. They give you scrumptious little almond chocolates when they do the turndown service. They have free biccyles available for use and use of a free beach tote with towels for the beach. It’s a short walk to town and the beach. The ac works very well. The breakfast spread is amazing. Fresh fruit… I’ve mever had such great kiwi… sweet and tart, cherries, grapes, watermelon. Spanish omelette and chorizos cakes and croissants. Eggs bacon and toast if you want it. I loved it.

A few blocks off the beach makes this luxury hotel extra special. Easy walk to beach or even Old Town however taxis are easy and a great deal. We spent three nights and had more to do that we could schedule. Staff is great and breakfast fantastic.

A gem of a hotel, we loved our stay. Staff are charming and our room in the modern addition was very comfortable. The hotel is beautifully designed and we enjoyed the excellent breakfast. It's just a five minute taxi ride to the Old Town and all the central City amenities and in walking distance of a good beach.

The Service D rooms one pass, just get a good reception, the guy who kept everything had pristine, a marvel, I will stay there again.

Lovely quaint boutique hotel — — would recommend staying here although they gave us the "basement" room… a little more privacy and had outdoor seating which we didn't get to use coz it was rainy when we arrived — — there was a mosquito in our room… but other than that a great place to stay and wonderful service and very friendly and helpful staff.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and the breakfast was great. To the old area there are about 15 walking.

Old neo-Norman style villa, whose construction dates back to 1898 (originally known as Eguzki Soro), now reconverted into a hotel.
It is superbly located in a very good residential area in the neighborhood of Ategorrieta in Donostia, neighborhood attached to the Gross. It has two areas with rooms, the main building located in the palace itself, where it also resides the reception, bar/restaurant and other common areas, and the old stables located in a separate building, located behind the main building, Reconverted into residence with more rooms.
The villa is beautiful, magnificent and soberly decorated and preserved. Spacious rooms but with a simpler décor than the common areas. The exquisite service always awaits the needs of the guest. During our stay we did use a couple of times of room service, and they were really quick to serve it. Only the non-availability of certain products of the menu was missing, in particular the cheeks and the garnish of potatoes with garlic.
Breakfast is included in all rates, and is one of the best I have tried in any hotel, with top quality products, many of them ecological and land, betting for it in local producers. It is served in a magnificently decorated noble hall overlooking the gardens, although there is also the option of enjoying it in the room.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and polite. The decor and rooms are quite beautiful. It is also within walking distance to the city center of San Sébastien.

Tucked a little away from the centre of San Sebastián is the lovely establishment with friendly staff. We were there for an eating adventure since San Sebastián has more culinary stars per square mile so we stayed for almost a week. Breakfast was part of the package and the spread was great. As we drove from Barcelona, they had free parking on its grounds, which was very convenient. Even if you needed to walk to the city, it was a pleasant distance. Not too far (about a 10 minute stroll) over to where the ‘action’ was. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and recommend this for those who like a little quiet.

Lovely setting high up, beautiful classically decorated rooms. A car would be beneficial if you are not keen on walking or travelling by bus. Staff were friendly helpful courteous and attentive. Sitting room and dining room are very elegant with views to the lush garden. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Our bed was uncomfortable and our room had a bad odor when it had been locked up and opening windows didn't appear to help. We stayed 4 nights.

We stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon. Having paid over €300 a night, we thought we were treating ourselves to a really special accommodation. It wasn't a bad hotel by any means, it just wasn't impressive enough to cost that much. Don't get me wrong — the villa itself is beautiful, we had a nice spacious room in the basement with a small patio outside. However it felt like the hotel was short-staffed — the reception desk were at times unmanned, the porter wasn't readily available and the two breakfast ladies were so busy that they forgot some of our orders. We've stayed in better accommodation for a fraction of the price.

The Hotel and its accomodations are spectacular personal is very kind, sweet and profeshional.

Absolutely stunning. Large, spacious room with its own veranda so we can sit outside and take in the setting. The staff are very helpful and offer useful advice. We walked in to Gros and San Sebastian, but it is very easy to use other transport if you need.

Beautiful and elegant hotel, which is distributed in two buildings, the forward, more elegant, and the back, located in the former stables.
It should say that, despite being a 5 star, not available for lunch and dinner restaurant, but offers, in Exchange, room service, which offers hot and cold dishes. The breakfasts, great quality, served at table.
Something away from the Center, about 20 minutes walking, they are compensated with a quiet, thanks to the residential neighborhood where it is located.
Very recommended, and less than half the price of the mythical hotel Maria Cristina.

Real people and proper service.

A very comfortable hotel with easy walking distance from Gros but away from the bustle of the city. The staff is warm and fluent in English. We got the breakfast package, which was a great deal. I don't write many recommendations but was moved to recommend this hotel. It should be noted that the rooms are only for two. I stayed with my wife and two teenagers and we took two adjacent rooms that were not interconnected. There is amble parking out front but the spaces are tight. Overall a great place to stay in San Sebastián. You can walk to Gros for pxitons (tapas) or shopping or drive to the old city and park in the first available garage. Do not try and follow Google Maps in the old city. It will lead you to pedestrian only streets and send you round and round in circles. Downtown San Sebastián is small and best covered by foot. Then a very easy drive back onto the main road out of town to Villa Soro, where a comfortable bed, great artwork and a very pretty bar awaits you.

Its one of the warmest service ive ever met.

San Sebastian is such a great walking town, it's a shame to stay so far from the action.
