This place is very clean and in a good location. Also it was a great value for the price. The decor is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. We went during the winter, so the beds came with heating pads which was perfect. The place was quiet and good for those who do not want to socialize but just want to relax. Only cons were the size of the rooms and bathrooms. The room had 3 bunks (6 beds) but only had space for 2 bunks really. This left little room for your bags and the lockers were only big enough for shoes and small items. The bathroom was also a tight squeeze. Also the bathroom didnt have much ventilation so whenever someone showered the bathroom would stay foggy and misty throughout the night.

Best hostel in Myeongdong /Chungmuro area! Been staying here since 2015 every year I visit to Seoul.

My friend and I gave the reviews the benefit of the doubt and decided to book this hostel for our stay in Seoul for 5 nights. Upon arrival, we had difficulty finding the place, and when we finally arrived, we welcome by steep flight of stairs. We had to carry our luggage up. Upon checking in, we were told that the request for the beds we wanted (which we wrote in a month ago and was approved via email) was not fulfilled at the check in. The receptionist called the owner, and the owner was not apologetic and did not want to own up at first about the fact that he agreed to our request in the email. He did NOT attempt to make an effort to make it up to us, but just ask us to accept whatever beds he has to offered. At no point of time he used a nice and apologetic tone, but instead in a way "reprimanded" us and said that we had too much expectations. We compromised and try to give HIM solutions instead (which should be the other way round), but he wanted to make us to pay more for the solution we gave him. The service given was horrendous from the start and we definitely did not feel that our trip will be worthwhile or memorable at all from the way he treated us from the beginning. As such, of course he would not want to refund us our money, hence we decided to leave on the spot and search for another hotel. It was definitely a waste of time and money on this hostel and I do not recommend to anyone at all. The next day, we were greeted by a "No Show" email from him.

Its a very good Hostel to live, staff is very nice, cooprative, rooms are neat & clean, very good breakfast is available.

Small beds and small walkways unfavourable for tall people. Self service based.

1st time to try Blueboat. Impressed by how cozy and neat the place is. I like that they allow you to make your own breakfast and they supply you with all the basic things you would need. Bed is modest, but just enough for you to get a good nights rest. Kudos to the owner. We stayed there for 5 nights. I will definitely consider booking with them next time I visit So. Korea.

I had been visit here abt 3month ago! I could not take my breath away when went in here cuz the place was cozy and secondable trendy interior, nice service and etc. I loved this place and really enjoyed my trip on this place and Korea! miss you Mr, kim I will visit you in abt 3month time.
