Awful place. As this place has so many good reviews. I now do not believe in them being genuine. Shared bathrooms. Rooms small no character. Ok to sleep in but not to relax in.
Probably ok for backpackers and singles. Couldn't get out of the place quick enough.

The staff (Natasha) is more than friendly and there is this great mascotte, the hoteldog named George. The rooms are clean and nice. The beds were a very good quality. The location is close to Waterfront. (21 minute walk) Going up the street in the evening is not recommended. Overall it's more than worth a stay.

Loved my stay here. The whole setting is beautiful and attention to detail is fabulous. Service so friendly! Only criticism is no aircon in the summer.

Bedroom was all right. We had a shared bathroom but it was always clean. No breakfast included. Location is great and staff was very friendly.

Friendly and welcoming hosts. Enjoyed the bikes, which were free to rent. Enjoyed the coffee. Great location, close to the Waterfront and Seapoint. Neat and clean, which made up for the inconvenience of sharing a bathroom with other guests.

What great and cosy place! Very friendly and helpful staff! The rooms a beautiful and clean, just like the shared bathrooms. And the beds are so comfortable! I would definitely recommend this place.

The rooms are beautifully decorated. There are two bathrooms that the bottom floor shares as well as a communal kitchen with free tea and coffee. We stayed over for one night and it was so enjoyable.

I will try to find the words to describe the awesome time we had at the harpers house! lets start with the helpful staff that were there for every question, every help and need! the house is so beautiful, you cant help your self but full in love. We stayed there for 6 night, we felt at home. Very recommended! batel & itamar :)

Friendly staff and beautiful decor.

Staying here was such a treat. The lovely host Stockling went out of his way for us. The room was so beautifully decorated and homely. We left wanting to stay longer.

The staff went beyond the call of duty to make our stay not only pleasant and comfortable… but incredibly memorable. It was home away from home. We loved it. We had to share the bathrooms, but really, that was no hardship. The bathrooms, toilets and showers were so clean, and we never waited in a queue … it was easy. It was absolutely not like a backpackers… it was topnotch. I wish we had time to stay longer.

My parents booked this hotel after minimal searching. The reviews seemed good but unfortunately they didn't look into it properly and did not realize the rooms have shared bathrooms. This obviously was not a good situation for my older parents and they asked if they could leave after two days. 50% deposit had already been paid but the minute they stepped in the building Lucia demanded they pay the last 50% even though they were obviously unhappy. There was no negotiations or understanding on behalf of management even though my parents weren't comfortable with sharing a bathroom. The answer was well we are not full so the bathrooms won't be busy! This place is obviously more for the backpacker younger crowd wanting to save money. It's very sad that Lucia was not more hospitable. I guess for some establishments money is more important than guest satisfaction.

Great place with great staff! Always there to make your stay better than expected with good services, and good advice when you are in lack of inspiration for visits or else depending of your mood. Enjoyed my stay a lot and very well situated. The only negative point would be the parking which can be very annoying when all rooms are booked with car owners.

A lovely home that's well decorated and has such gracious and friendly host. Stocking will go out of his way to assist!
