No fridge in the room… No internet access … No dstv only 2 channels on the TV … Room is dusty.

Absolutely lovely. Staff are amazing. Excellent service. Food is superb.

I booked online, when I arrive there was no shampoo, body lotion, shower cap, water was ice cold from the shower and when I asked the Receptionist for amenities I was told is the rate I booked under does not come with all that.

The PICTURES are deceiving! The breakfast is horrid. The white lady at reception is a Bad Host,

Easy access of public transportation an restaurant.

Prices are fair and the restaurant down stair is slightly priced bellow average. In my experience that is good.

Good for low budget… Friendly staff… the elevator never works and I was in 4th floor.

Riviera Hotel is superb. Besides the beautiful view of the Yacht Club and the Harbour the Hotel staff are so welcoming. The rooms are built for comfort and the breakfast they serve is divine. I would recommend this Hotel anytime.

Old hotel with small rooms but affordable and decent for those who wish to save some money.

Friendly staff. Good and low cost breakfast. Balcony rooms get too much noise from the taxis in front. Higer levels would be less noisy. Not classy but, still value for money. Parking is extra and charged per 12 hours.

The place was not that comfortable at all. You can expect to be disappointed by the building it self and the lift to the rooms is old and outdated. When you eventually get to the room. Do not expect much. When I say do not expect much, I mean all you will get is the bed and useless outdated TV not even connected to Dstv. The TV signal was terrible. It was and the room was missing an air conditioner and roof mounted fan provided in the room did not do an justice, every time I looked at that fan, I feared for my life. My safe bet to cool me down was to sleep with open windows. The location has its pros and cons the view of the harbour is awesome but late at night you will start regretting the location due to the trucks and trains pulling in the harbour as well as the light. I could not help but to notice how long it took for the water in the shower to heat up. After 10minutes of waiting, eventually water did heat up. What I liked about the place was parkade which is sheltered but you have to pay an additional R14.00 for the parking as well as the filling station located under the parkade. Was it worth my R469.00? No not at all. R250.00 would have been suffice for that room. To sum it all up, I would have appreciated an air conditioner and some Dstv as well as a couch. There is a still a lot to do to make this one of the best hotels.

I should be able to make my tea or coffee from the room just put the tools I will bring my raw materials finish and klaar.

I booked the place and I canceled after they told me the price they've charged me was short of R100 and they didn't wanna refund me.

Nice view and friendly staff. The only problem is that Wi-Fi is only accessible at the reception area and the first floor and it's not free. Breakfast is great. Parking is paid separately.

Best accommodation in the Center of Durban with the good view of the harbour and the locomotive rolling in an out.

Not the best of places I've slept at, but the staff was very friendly, and the service was good, and the sheets were clean.

Staying there is always lovely and quite peace full. I love the rooms so clean.

Dirty rooms, smells cigarettes they do not change bedding daily, dusty light nd on the walls but it's cheap.

Friendly staff, like my wife said:"it's cosy! "

We had a great time there, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and had everything, but we couldn't open the safe.

There is noise at night and bar is near the rooms.

The hotel is nice and friendly stuff I'll definatly come back before the end of the year with my friends.

Not bad just need furnishers revamp in rooms and reception area be modernised but the treatment is superb.
