This hotel surprised me. It's a city Lodge, and everything is as expected, yet… The staff are amazing. Friendly and helpful. The location is lovely. The food is really good. The poolside is divine.

It's a hotel in the beachfront, a bit of outdated decor but the staff was great, room service was spectacular and we had a spacious room and very comfortable bed.

Beautiful rooms, the view is to die for. This is one of my favorite hotels in Durban, been there a few times and never had bad service.

What a vacation. We booked 4 nights. This was the best thing in my life. From the day we checked in to the day we checked out. Breakfast was superb. Buffet supper was out of this world.

The hotel room was clean and spacious, very big, cosy, intimacy good for the couple they does room service but we didn't want it with my hubby as we were enjoying our time, space but the cleaner did

We booked for the Christmas Buffet lunch for the 25/12/2025. We were seated on the terrace which was very enjoyable as it was not crowded.

Attended the Christmas buffet lunch today. Food was delicious, so many options to choose from, even crab curry! Definitely worth the price we paid.

The service with them can't compare, I'll recomment to the friend.

Bayside is clean and very nice, it's worth staying in for a weekend of a month. The location is no so good though.

Well done to the staff and management at Regal Inn North beach. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. Rooms are super clean. We had an absolutely great stay. We have found our new go to accommodation.

The rooms were not noisy loved the check out time bo pressure from cleaning service to check awesome receptionist spacious parking thank you will definitely visit I don't eat pork so I didn't get

I've been a guest at the hotel multiple times, and I want to share my appreciation for the efforts made to renovate and improve the hotel.

I read very negative comments about Albany Hotel and was almost regreting booking into the hotel, but hell N̈O, non of anything they said appeared to be true from our side.

Durban Spa Resort is truly a gem along the Durban beachfront — a place where convenience, comfort, and entertainment come together beautifully.

This was the 1st time in MANY YEARS I went on holiday anf the 1st time with my husband of 20 years. The experience was GREAT the staff was FRIENDLY and very welcoming and helpful.

The rooms are spacious and very neat with amazing views over the beach and the ocean.
The entrance to the rooms (door) could use some modern upgrade.

Great staff. Been here a few times. Pool upstairs. Once I was sick there, they organized a chemist to call me, had my stuff delivered to the door where I paid at the door. Excellent service.

I had a wonderful stay at the Royal Hotel. It truly offers great value for money, making it an excellent choice for both short and longer stays.

Life saver, booking was so hassle free. My sisters & I had an overnight bus from Jhb to Durban, could only check in @ 14hh00 to our initial holiday home.

The rooms should be clean daily irregardless of my booking and bedding and towel be changed daily even when I booked for the weekend as it get dirty daily.

The neighborhood is not tp notch. If you do not like strapping your bag across your chest, then this is not for you. What I like is that police station is right across the road.
