The friendly staff, the gorgeous ambience, the food👍🏽👌🏽 and playing the candy game with my partner was over tops🤪🤣😂🤦🏽‍♀️

Just everything was good. The perfect part is the well marnered staff.

The Palace holds gorgeous ocean views, not only from the spacious, self-catering apartments but, as well as from the beautiful Sun lounge they host events in. The service is impeccable, punctuality and great customer care was taken care of to the fullest. The cusine was delicious and well presented, even though being on the 5th floor, we were never short of assistance from the staff. The views of the ocean as well as the immaculate surroundings made for a fantastic afternoon lunch event.

The most welcoming hotel ever smells good, feels at home good staff, God bless u AL real enjoy my birthday stay.

I rate the Palace as 3. Great view & spacious, the only negative is that for a FOUR STAR 🌟 LUXURY HOTEL the fact that is is not safe to walk outside, the choices of channels to watch is EXTREMELY LIMITED WITH NO MOVIE 🎦 CHANNELS to watch.

Very friendly staff… my sister dropped her phone by the entrance. And we called it and the security guy, gave it back. Wow.

Good waiter service at pesto and very good food.

Unfortunately, our stay was too short. But we were impressed with the courtesy and friendliness of staff and other guests who we would come into contact with in places like the lifts. Very high housekeeping standards are being maintained — even the insides of the lifts were spotlessly clean.

Well priced. Had the apartment with the balcony. Really cool views of the beach.

Views are exceptional. Great hotel with comfortable accommodations. Friendly, accommodating and efficient staff. Rooms are nice, large and beds are very comfortable. The room had was lovely with separate bedrooms. Will recommend. It's self catering but plenty of restaurants around.

They offer a take me with phone packed with free Wi-Fi in case you are stranded with a no phone or a dead battery phone and need a ride back to wherever, you can order a taxi (not free). You can make international and local calls 4 free with the phone. The hotel has the spectacular view of the beach and Indian Ocean. There is a rickiting noise which I presume is from the pipes in side the hotel the whole day. Which is not cool.

I enjoyed a lot. Our apartment was spectacular. But we were not informed about the visit to Shaka Marine and the fact that no more braais are allowed was a little disappointing. But all in all we enjoyed.

Central to the beach and most eating places. Lovely service clean rooms newly revamped apartments and quite modern look but they downscaled all 6sleepers to 4 tho I really enjoyed the spectacular views and relaxing entertainment floor, the health and beauty spa cellulite is quite nice, as well as their indoor Jacuzzi, besides them doing away with the Friday bring and braai night and daily kids programs which Really disappointed me as they heading toward a hotel, I enjoyed It.

Convenient, great location, well equipped, bit dated but beds and linen are clean so no problem. New carpets and does not smell mouldy or damp so enjoyed my stay. Also has and "internet phone" device so free international calling and websites. Full fridge and freezer, microwave, stove and oven, kettle and toaster. Plus dishwashing liquid and cutlery and pots included. A small amount of tea and coffee also available. Of course these are self catering apartments. Shower and bath tub with a shower hose and a toilet biddet included. Room does have a safe as well.

Restaurant. Terrible. Room has no working phone, shower switch came off, Laundry service was under maintenance (couldnt even get a dress ironed). My booking was meant to include breakfast but was told on arrival that there will be no breakfast (maybe a blessing due to the poor restuarant quality). Best part was the comfortable bed hence 1 star… and being here with my husband who is so amazing.

Sitting on pool deck and grateful for the time out. Very conveniently situated. The clean rooms and friendly front desk clerks. Reception warm and gracious. Pool area family oriented but equally nice for couples. Serenity personified.

We arrived at our unit 31 March 2018. Our unit is advertised as 4 sleeper we booked as 3 people but unit only has crockery for 2. The kettle had been removed. Power plug in the kitchen is detective, extraction fan is falling apart and the beading of the cupboard door is falling off. It took 4 calls to the reception desk with first call at 1500 and a visit to the duty manager just to get a kettle and extra crockery after 2000. Sad to see a once lovely place falling apart and staff don't care. Our unit was clean and tidy service is lacking. Everything happens slowly.

I stayed here for 4 nights and There were a number of issues with my stay here. Buildings plumbing is noisy, kept getting woken up early for non important things, fridge didn't work properly, room was very small, house keeping takes the towels but does not replace them with fresh ones and maintenence guys drilling at 8 in the morning, requested a porter and never came. Was not given a room with a nice view and coffee in the room is not refilled. The hotel resturant however is very nice.

The staff is very friendly. We felt at home. Clean and neat. Will recommend and will come back.

What an AWESOME place to stay CAN afford it now thanks to my company I am with more quality time and financial freedom st last living my dream.

Beautiful and spacious with a stunning view. A home away from home. Crispy clean linen with comfortable beds. Fully equipped apartment. Staff very polite and friendly. Close to restaurants and across the street from the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would most definitely stay there again.

Hotel was good. Donot park in the street, especially overnight to avoid problems. Was assisted by a super lady by the name of Laila! Really went out of her way to make our stay a comfortable one.

I often pop in for an early morning breakfast. Great service and good food. I like the fact it has a smoking area on the terrace overlooking the local vendors selling their things.

Beautiful place… Definitely worth the price especially the rooms are spacious n comfortable with beautiful views of the ocean. Staff is very friendly. Place is neat n tidy. I enjoyed a lovely massage at the spa with my gran, a lovely meal at the restaurant n the swimming pool is private n relaxing. My gran was so pleased with the friendly caring staff as well as room service. Keep it up.

Super stunning. Home away from home. Spacious, very clean and well equipped rooms for a relaxed holiday with the family. Nice sea view. Almost, if not all Durban view from the penthouse (2201). Newly refurbished rooms. Love it.

Location is great, near the beach. Hospitality is ok. Room is big and clean with a very nice view. We had to checkout very early, because of a flight to our next location, so we received breakfast to go.

Horrific, checked in at 16:00hrs room 803 not ready, no frying pan and bathing towels in unit 803. Unit 801 was the worst kettle leaking water all over the kitchen stove broken only fixed after two hours, kettle replaced the next morning, blocked shower water all over the apartment and cherry on top was the general manager's attitude when I asked her to move the 801's occupants she said all the rooms were fully booked, thanks to the deputy manager who listened and understood our challenges and moved the guests to another room that was miraclosly vacant after the general manager had said the hotel was fully booked. I strongly recommended that she swaps places with the deputy manager and be send for customer relations training. I will never visit the horror Palace again.

The Palace is a wonderful resort to stay at. It has a wonderful pool and games. It is right by the beach so one can easily walk to the beach and browse around and even hire bikes. They have room service as well. The rooms are amazing, and they are also spacious.

Since our check in our door access card has not worked. Feeling like your items you need are locked away in a room of your things which you cannot access is just unprofessional for a hotel. We stayed in the 16th floor and as a result we had to go down to reception each time we could not access our room. This happens about 8 times with being promised that this would be fixed each time. Now, the second day of our stay, the door has still not been fixed and it is just uncomfortable to need to go to reception to ask if we could access our room each time we go out. We have paid quote a bit to stay here but it really doesn't feel like anyone cares to fix the problem. Although we get responses that maintenance would be fixing this problem, nothing has been fixed after multiple promises of this. This is just not acceptable service.

Had a lovely stay. Apartments are newly refurbished as well as self cister catering. In house spa makes all the difference!

This Hotel offers a great service and accommodation and above all you can get a perfect view of the beach from the Hotel.

Has been upgraded. Penthouse is amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful. I stay in Durban but love going to The Palace as a getaway.

The 4 person room had a nice view but no air-conditioning. The shower door was leaking as well. They offered a aromatic relaxing massage my girlfriend was interested in, music player was broken. Power went out. Girls where uncomfortably quiet. Everything looks far more fancy then it actually is. It is a nice location for a walk on the boulevard though.

Nice view from rooms, staff is friendly but facilities are not very good (Wi-Fi connection is very bad and food in the restaurant is not very good).

This place is awesome, next time I'm in Durbs I'm definitely sleeping here.

Enjoyed my 2 week stay in 1992. The breakfast was not very good though, only two items on the menu and both were only cereal. Muslix and something else I never heard of.

We had great stay nd the service was fabulous.

I had a wonderful weekend full of fun and extream activities. Managers are visable and friendly. Staff are super awsome. Loved it. Thank you.
