A bit quirky but comfortable rooms and the staff are universally friendly and helpful. Lunches and dinners are excellent quality but breakfasts so-so. Try to avoid rooms facing into the inner well as flashing lights may keep you awake. Not the hotel’s fault, but closure of Boon Tat St in the evenings can make access by car/taxi very difficult. Not much in the way of shopping nearby, more of a business district. Nice rooftop pool. Torn between 3 and 4 stars — staff tip it over to four!

Had dinner there. Food was not too bad but service was average. Took quite awhile to get seated even though there weren't many people eating. We had the 36hour lamb neck which my husband said was good and the grilled red snapper which was huge. But would have been better if there was more gravy. Truffle fries was meh… no truffle taste at all.

The rooms are reasonable and the bathroom was quite good. But our experience was soured by poor customer service and the lack of any available pillows from the pillow menu. We checked in everything was well till we asked for pillows only to be told they didn’t have any of the hardest pillows available. For a 5 Star hotel. That’s not good enough. We booked out set course menu dinner that was included. Each course was no more than 3 spoonfuls. The prawn entree had 3 prawns no bigger than my little finger, nothing else on the plate except for a drizzling of squid ink. The pork main was not even a full rasher of pork. The crackling was soft and chewy, not crisp whatsoever, and on the menu it was to be served with broccolini, the dish was served with broccoli florets. Then the next morning we went to the buffet breakfast. There were not enough staff on to replenish the food as it was being consumed. The room was not serviced till 2pm in the afternoon, not good enough. To follow up the unpleasant breakfast experience of the previous day we arrived to a queue at the restaurant and they had set up the bar tables and reception tables to try and fit more people in, which were very unpleasant to try and sit at and eat. Once again there was very minimal food on offer because the chefs couldn’t keep up to replenish it. To top that off I went to get a drink and returned to my table to find other guests had been seated at my table by the staff. Customer service was just unacceptable.

Great location, good facilities, great customer service and well appointed rooms. We enjoyed the roof top pool which has new furniture and is about to open to the public. Well worth the stay.

If you're being picky, the room could be more spacious, and the AC could be more quiet. Other than that, over it's good. Free mini bar!

Stylish Boutique Hotel in a central location … Karl Lagerfeld left his "traces" here in terms of design technology, but still: Recommendably.
The service could sometimes be a bit more attentive and faster — but super-friendly. Complaints are taken very seriously (rooms had to be changed because of "modern smell" — you clearly noticed: You do everything to satisfy the guests) theme of smell: Yes, the hotel attaches importance to its own scent (urban jungle) — unusual but not too Strong, somehow something other than the same fragrants you are received with in most hotels.
The room equipment leaves nothing to be desired, minibar is included in the price — it is worth looking into every drawer, you will find something everywhere. Everything is controlled — TV, light, curtains — via an iPad, the phone in the room an iPhone.
Pool and rooftop bar were closed for renovation but was no loss to me — in the lobby there is a second bar next to the restaurant.
Overall: Very recommended, very good price/performance ratio for a 5 star hotel.

Gorgeously decorated hotel. Fairly quick check in. Everything in the room is controlled by an iPad. Not very kid friendly. Right next to Lau Pa Sat. Stayed in the So Urban room which is a decent size. There are free non-alcoholic drinks and snacks in the mini bar.

My husband, son and I returned home end of April 2018 after spending 8 nights at the Sofitel So Singapore. Our rooms were absolutely top notch, staff very attentive and helpful. This is the second Sofitel we have stayed in and certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay at other Sofitel hotels in the future.

This boutique hotel is located in the quiet end of the CBD next to a hawker food centre. I don't really like the decor of the hotel but that's only my personal view or taste. The overall vibe of the hotel is fun and easy going yet maintaining a high quality service.

Very nice hotel and Staff member. Location also nice too! It's in distance of walking to three different subway station. And there are lots of restaurant across the hotel. The best thing is snack bar is Free!

The room is so small yet so HIP! You could control everything in your room with the iPad provided. Furthermore, They provide a mini bar which is free! Yep you read it right, everything in mini bar is FREE! Other than that, this hotel has a great service and unique welcome drink which comes in a vial.

We booked a double room, but all the cleaning supplies is just for one person, apart from this all good. You can choose the pillow in the counter, it’s very nice service. I love mini bar here! Adorable!

5 star hotel located in central Singapore. Marina Bay is just 1.5 km away and Chinatown is about a 10 minute walk. Very good breakfast and friendly helpful staff.

Cozy and hip for the youngsters (or the ones who like to stay young). Rooms are decent size and well equipped, free mini-bar with both (non-alcoholic) drinks and snacks. Very good breakfast — hotel was fullly booked one evening but still not at all crowded at breakfast. Plentiful, very helpful and friendly staff. Recommended.

I had lunch at the Xperience Restaurant, and I must say the service and food was amazing! Even though I was young and wearing sloppy clothing, they still were professional and kind to me. Unlike most 5 or 6 stars hotels. And the roasted beef was amazing. Reasonably priced too!

SO Sofitel Singapore is all about the look. The lobby is a bit weird in that its nearly all commercial space with space for people to sit and wait in the corridor leading to the lifts. The rooms themselves are also gorgeously designed but have limited natural light. Prior to going I had read people complaining about the fact that rooms were not ready when people went to check-in; and I had the same experience. If rooms won't be ready at the advertised 2pm check-in time, then perhaps they should consider changing the check-in time back to 3pm. Other than having to sit around waiting for a room an otherwise good stay. The pool deck and bar on the roof is often advertised for local parties — and to be honest it looks like it has seen better days and is worse for the wear. Hopefully they have some plans for renovating it — as it seems like it could be a nice space.

Location was convenient and near to mrt station (Downtown) The room we got (So Urban), was wonderful and spacious. Amenities was great as well. We had free welcome drink as well. Breakfast spread was good. Overall a very good stay.

I just love this hotel with a passion. It's so sophisticated and chic. Really great service from every person from the doorman to the front desk! As it's located in the prime of the CBD, it tends to get busy after office hours. Nonetheless, the staff are excellent. I do like the bar here. The one thing that amazed me is that most of the staff remember the names of the guests! This is fantastic as it makes one really feel at home. Definitely 5 stars!

What a beautiful hotel. Gorgeous rooms, well designed lobby — everything feels first class. In fact it was the first time in a long time that I've wanted to talk something home from a hotel. Unfortunately my room smelled a bit musty, in fact if it was not midnight when I checked in I would have walked right back out. I know it's tough in Singapore, but from a hotel that felt so premium I expected perfection. I'd definitely come back, but next time I'll be a bit more picky.

I love this boutique hotel, I can call it a 'little gem' in the middle of the business district. It's very clean and the room where I stayed was very comfortable. The breakfast was really very good and there was a big choice of food. The staff was very nice, above all at the concierge and at the front desk. There was only a girl at the restaurant not really kind but this thing doesn't change my 5 stars rating. The location is really good because it's very near to the MRT and some of the main attractions are also walking distance. Really a very good experience.

Nice place for short stopover, all good except for the senior staff during the evening drinks (5-7) changed the red wine to a cheaper type and told staff to tell guests it was a more expensive wine. Also this morning breakfast staff were very snappy with guests!

Small but cozy and comfortable rooms. Upgraded room control technology with plenty of complimentary high quality media if you find your self room bound. The staff is helpful and highly professional. The bathroom drains are a bit loud and tend to be noisy even when you aren't using the room.

Cool Boutique hotel in the middle of the high-rises with good metro connection nearby (approx. 350m). The rooms are extremely modern, kitschy, sweet and decorated with great attention to detail. In the room everything can be operated via ipad, from the curtain to the light, air conditioning, etc.
The room was very clean, the staff friendly, chic and helpful, the breakfast delicious. On the 6th floor there is the rooftop terrace with swimming pool and invites to the morning swimming and in the evening when the bar is open, to sip a cocktail-be sure to try the Singapore sling there opposite the hotel is the Lau Pa sat Street Food Market, where you can enjoy yourself in the evening and ND can be conveniently maintained.

This hotel had a VERY special vibe. So sorry we spent only one night here! Great design, wonderful staff, wonderful breakfast… it might be a bit flashy, but I felt like a star!

My husband and I previously stayed at the Sofitel So in Singapore a few years ago and had a wonderful time, so on our recent return visit we decided to recommend the hotel to our extended family and as a group we booked 4 rooms. We were not disappointed and there are now 3 family units who have all said that they plan to return to Singapore and wish to stay at the Sofitel So again. Personally, my husband and I had a seamless check-in and we were thrilled to find out that our room had been upgraded. Anyone would be happy to learn this but what we feel sets the Sofitel So Singapore apart is the personal and attentive service we received from Charmaine during breakfast and the helpfulness of the concierge who assisted us in booking the Night Safari. It is staff like that who are an asset to your hotel and we hope that this feedback reaches them. We shall return!

Excellent helpful in general and comfortable room with very good amenities.

The bedroom was and bathroom facilities were very good. The staff were amazing and always very considerate, friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with the concierges as they were all very helpful and remembered my name (which is very impressive! ). I had dinner in the restaurant on a few evenings and I was very impressed with Arin. Arin was always very friendly, considerate and professional and I enjoyed the opportunity to talk to her when she was not looking after the other guests — Arin is a real gem! I was very impressed with the food, especially the dinners which certainly had the French touch — my compliments to the chefs! The location was great as it was within easy walking distance from the hotel to the office blocks. Overall a very good experience and the SO is certainly worthy of many more visits in the future!

Spent only one night here in transit but would have love to stay longer. Lovely boutique hotel, located just across the road from the market where there is a large range of hawker food on offer. This hotel was beautifully restored and converted from an old colonial building. Bedroom is very neat and quiet, with French chic. Wonderful and extremely helpful staff down at the concierge, on check-in and on check-out. Thanks very much to Tyson for all your help and courtesy. Greatly appreciated. Strongly recommended and would definitely come back again.

Weaknesses in detail, 2, treadmill over the entire stay defective, water leak from the ceiling in the restaurant, restaurant visit to the eg was denied because only one drink should be ordered. There was no other table occupied, not even for the time of waiting for a taxi was granted access. Maid enters the room without a previous knock.

Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Room, whilst smaller than I was expecting, was very relaxing. Loved the Portland classical music app in the room so I could listen to lovely music. Location is great. My only two negative comments are (and this is really nit picking) : — Cleaning staff may be too attentive as they kept replacing my towels everyday, despite hanging them on the hook with the hanging card asking them not to be replaced' — The signature scent of the hotel is too strong. Subtle is nice, but it hits you as soon as you walk into the lobby and into the gym.

Our experience was wonderful. The staff were amazing. Special mention of Sally, she was always so very pleasant, personal, welcoming and helpful. All of the staff were very very courteous, polite and lovely. The rooms were so beautiful and luxurious. We felt like we were sleeping on a cloud, the bed, the linen and especially the pillows were something we've not had anywhere before. It was spotless. Plenty of drinks in the fridge were complimentary. We would highly recommend your hotel, and I already have to people I know who go to Singapore frequently. On our day of checkout, we had a late flight, and they allowed as to have a room to have a shower in the late afternoon, for which we were very grateful. I cant speak highly enough of this hotel. All of the staff at reception were very helpful. Everyone helped with directions, one girl even printed out some directions for us. Made our short stay in Singapore very memorable! Thank you again!

We found So Sofitel to be just an amazing boutique hotel. The rooms firstly were magnificent with several of our friends saying 'it looks like a palace'. Secondly staff were really nice going out of there way to ensure our enjoyment. Front desk, concierge, and restaurant are to be commended. Just wonderful.

As I was for a business trip, a good rest & satisfying breakfast is extremely important. Location was also my main consideration as the Hotel was just a 3 minutes walk from my office. The room, albeit a bit small, was great. Love the overall design & high-tech feeling. The bed was especially excellent & very comfortable Love the mini bar's Mint Tea, helps me relax before going to sleep. However working on the desk was not very comfortable since the chair keeps bumping into the bed. Breakfast was great although the choices are somewhat small, love the freshly squeezed Orange Juice & freshly brewed coffee. Note on the coffee though, on my last day it was really watery. Please maintain the consistency. The gym was small but perfectly adequate as I'm only using the treadmill. Hopefully I'll be able to try the rooftop pool & bar next time. Overall, enjoying my stay here and appreciate the excellent hospitality from the staffs.

I was surprised by the unusual style of the hotel after staying at many other more formal Sofitel's in the past few years. This modern and more casual approach really differentiates it from many others within the same brand and this flows through to the overall greetings, check in service and interactions with staff. It was so warm and down to earth yet fully professional. The location is very handy with a street food emporium across the road and the park nearby for outdoor exercise. The rooftop pool and the bar are a great break from the busy streets below and again the staff casualness belies the underlying great service. Topping if off was the morning checkout, smiles, laughter and the efficiency of Lily and the team making sure we got our coffees before heading off on the next leg of the journey. Really look forward to coming back again.

Fabulous stay. Loved the boutique style of the Hotel. The staff were very attentive, particularly the Concierge staff. The downfall was the room layout. There weren't enough flat areas to put things on. The wardrobe intruded into the room, making the room seem smaller. The bathroom was awkward as the toilet was in the way when accessing the shower. This was the only negative thing about my stay.

Really efficient check-in (early as our flight was in the morning). Room was spotless, all the little touches make it really special. We had the pool all to ourselves in the afternoon before popping out for the day. Nice touch from all the staff to welcome you back in the evening. Overall we felt really welcomed and accommodated for the night!

Amazing hotel rooms loved that you could control everything in the room from the iPad. Staff were very attentive and helped us with any query including printing tickets. The range of snacks and drinks at the minibar was great. Used the pool and it wasn't busy so very chilled out, staff at the roof bar were fab. Only thing I'd comment on was the curtain and door to bathroom didn't close completely so wasn't that private. If I return to Singapore we would absolutely stay here again.

Our room was comfortable however details such as the regular top up of the mini bar and the toiletries was lacking. I have had to call 0 a number of times to have top ups and did not receive prompt responses. Breakfasts were satisfactory. Dinner was satisfactory. Swimming pool bar was good. Staff generally very helpful.

The first impression was perfect from the very professional, friendly welcome to the welcome drink to the absolutely exciting interior.
A very appealing and interesting room, top clean and equipped with lots of details. The cleanliness very good and the bed the World Wide Sofitel standard appropriately sleepable.
Very good breakfast, great pastries for afternoon tea and the Bagger at the rooftop bar by the pool.
In short: A great short break in the middle of Singapore and a successful start for our honeymoon.

From the Accor stable, situated on Robinson, kinda a boutique hotel in an old place. Lovely ambiance. Nice swimming pool on 6th floor.

Comfortable overall but a lack of windows & too much artificial lighting. Bar on the roof is nice. But a little gaudily decorated and staff are not so smooth with customer service.

I booked the Sofitel So due to its proximity to my office at Asia Square. The location is fantastic with a food marker opened every night downstairs and fantastic restaurants just a few streets away. The rooms are clean and very modern, but very small (even for Singapore! )

Overall a great hotel, rooftop pool with bar, very particular kind in our bathroom was missing the target. Overall very good.

Tried their breakfast buffet after hearing great reviews from online recommendations. Was mildly disappointed by the variety and quality. Sure the cooked foods were considered varied but is plainly adequate. The cereal bar is pretty standard and the bread bar was also ordinary. At the end of the day, the foods are honestly quite cheap, only expensive stuff are perhaps smoked fish (salmon, tuna) and honey.

Just had the worst dining experience at Xperience restaurant. Had their high tea semi-buffet set and there was only 2 of us in the whole restaurant. I counted 3 male staff and 3 female staff around, all acting very busy thruout my 1hr high tea. I can only see them walking about and bringing empty glasses around. No one bothered to check on us or ask us how was the food, my water was not top up for the whole hour too. When I asked for a refill of my hot dish, the male staff did so not just without a smile but WITH a slight frown! A highly renowned hotel chain definitely needs to look into their staff training. Very disappointing.

Each services are really great. The room was quiet & clean. I could spend great time at this hotel. The hotel location is also good. There is in financial district, so we can access to any buildings in the area on foot. The hotel fee is expensive but there is worth to pay for it.

Very modern and stylish hotel that built on historical building, just close to Telok Ayer market that you can dine for breakfast/lunch/dinner there. The swimming pool is golden and lovely. I lived in a suite room and it's extremely large in the singapore standard. Simply loved the hotel!

This is one of the better ones in Singapore. Spend a chunk of your disposable income on luxury for a night.

Stylish modern hotel in the city center. The frontdesk is modern and makes you feel very welcome. The lounge area at the lobby is lovely. The hotel is 5 minutes from the nearest mrt station. Love the concept by Karl Lagerfeld.

Nice hotel with iphone 5c for the room and ipad to control lights and curtains, pretty neat. Wifi was working properly, fast enough for streaming but don't try 4k :D I did not like much the bathroom which just has a sliding door and a curtain as it is all glass, maybe not the best when you have company. Breakfast is too continental, some dumplings and rice but most of the food is oriented for continentals which ruin a bit the experience of being in Asia.

Excellent, stylish and nice retreat in Singapore. I especially liked the proximity to Lau Pa Sat food market as well as the modern interior of the lobby. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the design of the rooms is very modern — it even has iPads to set everything in your room to your liking — temperature, curtains and even the DND sign on the door. Would definitely come again.

Hotel's Valet service guys are awesome. Had some trouble with getting transport but one of the guys, Raffie, made it possible and help to eliminate my difficulties I had with the cab drivers. Good Job.

Maybe it is just because it is new and they didn't hire experienced staff, but this Sofitel has the worst service I have ever seen. Restaurant service is slow. Housekeeping is incompetent. The pool on the roof is not maintained for guests, but rather for the outdoor bar that is there in the evenings. Stay clear of this hotel.

So disappointing, and So does not deserve to be part of the Sofitel chain. Mind you, we were very cognizant of the fact that this is a semi-new establishment and decided to give it a pass on all the little things that went wrong during our stay. Having said that, there is still an unspoken expectation of great service when it comes to the Sofitel brand and my past experiences at Sofitels around the world. Overall experience: In room light control broke on day 2/5 of our stay, we had only cold showers for 4/5s of our stay and the staff didn't seem very eager to make our stay satisfying. — Unaccommodating Staff Aside from the concierge which was as amazing and awesome as he was busy, the rest of the staff was merely "okay" and seemed clearly inexperienced, with our hoteliers present yet absent when it comes to taking action and making our stay comfortable. Stayed here for five nights, and our troubles began on day one. We had just landed from Tokyo and my girlfriend wanted to use her hair straightener and noticed that the bathroom had both 110v and 220v plugs (great! ). We called the reception to confirm that she could use the straightener and they were unable to give us a yes or no, to which we then asked for a transformer from them. About 5 minutes later they promptly come to the room with an adapter that does not transform voltage. We call back and they tell us they have no transformers and that we'd go have to buy one (what?!
