I recently booked a Premier Deluxe Double room to celebrate my girl friend's birthday and we were impressed with the service rendered by Ricardo, who assisted me in making my girlfriend's birthday celebration a very memorable one. The room we booked is very clean and spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Price is really reasonable as you cant find a hotel in a town area that can match this price. I wanna thank Hotel 1888 Collection Singapore and especially Ricardo, for my wonderful staycation with my girlfriend!
Definitely a good hotel for staycation and for people who are waiting for their swap test results.

Horrible, was forced to book a premium room as there was no more availability for the basic rooms.
Upon our check — in we noted that the male hotel staff was very unkempt and had very long and unsightly fingernails which was very concerning seeing as there is no regard for personal hygiene and grooming standards in the hotel especially in view of the current covid health situation.
Moving onto the room, I tried to take a shower and I noticed that there was a cockroach at the corner of the shower, the shower was clearly in bad condition, it was mouldy and we were worried about the overall cleanliness of the room as there could be more cockroaches lurking around. Upon informing the hotel staff and expressing our worries of the cleanliness of the room, we were honestly very upset with how the staff handled the situation. The staff only offered to spray the cockroach and the rest of the room with insecticide hence stinking up the room, when asked if there was any way the hotel could move us to another room or compensate us for our stay the staff refused to take initiative.
Lastly, several items were missing from the room, there was no hotel slippers or kettle and when we asked for a kettle the staff handed over a kettle with a very dusty and clearly uncleaned kettle. The mouth of the kettle had a lot of uncleaned brown food remnants/stuff.
