Disappointed from your hotel even before checking-in by your super UNFRIENDLY receptionist.
We’ve travelled during the whole night and we haven’t slept at all, in booking. Com we’ve pointed out that we’ll arrive between 6 and 7am but we were just told that there are no free rooms. The most terrifying thing is that we were told that we can do the check-in after 3pm — IN ALL THE HOTELS ALL AROUND THE WORLD IS BETWEEN 1-2pm. And something else that doesn’t exist anywhere in the world (and we’ve been everywhere) — to be able to do the check in 1-2h earlier you must pay a whole night. Due to this commercial thinking if you leave 2 hours earlier you must get back your money for 1 night. When we said that we will wait at the lobby because we are tired, she tried to explain us how it’s not really okay to stay here. Also. An hour ago some people came to do check in and because they waited for an hour for a free room they were told that as an apology they won’t pay for the early check in because they are Americans. Wow. And we as Bulgarians are something less? We’d love to get our money back and to not stay in your hotel. We’re not only here for the Metallica concert, but we have a tourist agency as well and we were thinking of bringing groups to your hotel but no way. We expected something more from a 5-star hotel.

I did not personally stay here, but my friends had a concert in the park nextdoor and we realised we were missing a few items that couldnt be bought nearby. The staff was extremely kind, they gave us paper pins, let us use the bathroom etc… The place looks great and clean and im always impressed by nice people ^_^ enjoy!

Lovely helpful staff, a warm welcome at reception, good prices. Nice touches like a small upgrade for the room and a welcome drink. A choice of pillows. Didn't try the breakfast, which at around eur 20 felt expensive for Bucharest. And a tiny negative — maintenance weren't in a hurry when called to fix an issue in our room. Still, overall, it was a stellar stay. Highly recommended.

Excellent service level and very helpful staff. The hotel has seen quite a few sunrises, but is still well maintained. The club lounge is nice, with a good selection of food and drinks in the afternoon. I know where I'll be staying next time I'm in town. Great stay.

Great hotel! We had our wedding here and it was spectacular! The imperial suite was a dream, something you see in movies and my husband and I were privileged to stay in such a luxurious hotel room! The staff at the hotel were alway professional, polite, helpful at all times and ready to serve myself and our guest with the utmost hospitality. Thank you for hosting our wedding event! Very good position, great view, Modigliani restaurant is very good! The Club InterContinental Lounge is a must, is always available, nice food, diversifying, Great ambience and views and flexible! We had guests in Lounge for like 2 hours and no additional charge! The car rental Avis on the ground floor is so professional and so uncomplicated compared with others!

Make sure you visit the 21st floor lounge with view over Bucharest's most architecturally renowned landscape. Enjoy traditional Romanian cuisine (and wine is a must! ) with respect for recipe and quality. Excellent service!

Great hotel. Rooms were nice. Hotel staff was friendly. Loved the balconies. Location is close to old Town. Would definitely stay again. The views of the city were great. Rumor was that the breakfast was amazing. While I liked it, it wasn't life changing.

We got free upgrade to a Deluxe room and club lounge access much. Thanks to that upgrade we had the pleasure to meet another exceptional employee of your hotel Alexander. He helped us enormously and was there for us the whole time. So once more a huge THANK YOU to all of you for great service and everyday effort you put to your work.

I used only the pool for couple of hours. The price list was good. They provide you 2 towels free drink (water + towel). The staff was kind and friendly. It was a quite and nice place with beautiful view.

Everything you need to be comfortable. Free cell phone to use locally during your stay with free international calling. Centrally located next to Bucharest University and many historic sites.

There are many super Intercontinental hotels. But for me, the one in Bucharest is family. Recognition, excellent service, great facilities, so central and feeling comfortable and safe.

The hotel was nice, good reception and helpful staff. The breakfast was special. Everything works, the gym, swimming pool, the elevator, the bar. I enjoyed my stay in Bucharest.

A very nice hotel. Beautiful view of the city of Bucharest from the top floors. The breakfast is very good and the staff is great. It is a very nice place for corporate events also. They have very spacious meeting rooms at the level 21.

Wonderful setting… They gave us a seating by the windows. Wonderful food and ambience. And they gave us a birthday surprise as well… A great place for special occasions.

I was septic about this hotel just because of the appearance of the tour, but I was very surprised the service is amazing, helpful and very nice. There is a pool sauna on the rooftop whatelse do you need after a tour of Bucharest…

Its just one of the most iconic buildings in Bucharest. Not truly a 5 star hotel as one would imagine and the only hotel not part of the Inter Continental chain. Of course there's a story to it and it was built during the Ceausescu regime as a token of "freedom" in the Eastern world. A little used and difficult to maintain it still offers the best views of Bucharest which, you can admire even from the 22nd floor swimming pool and terrace.

Great hotel. Not the best location as it's right next to a busy street but the amenities are excellent. The spa is very relaxing and open late and the staff is helpful, kind, and informative.

It's very nice place to stay. Breakfast served is really good with many options. Staff is very polite. Rooms are very well maintained. Spa is good. My experience of staying here was wonderful.

Nice hotel that was built during communist times. Rooms are old school but in fair shape. Balconies that would never pass H&S these days. Best place to stay if you wish to get to Old Town where everything is at. Looses 1 star for the dated feel of the rooms but i'm nit picking and would still stay there again.

Really comfortable Although the style is considered furniture furnishings dated. Great view from the top floor on Bucharest where there is a great fitness area and a nice pool.

A dream welcome with strawberries and champagne! The room is large and clean with a great view on the 11imo floor! Bucharest view from above is magical! If I close my eyes and imagine the view of the 22imo floor, it's worth it! Staying here is an honor! Congratulations.

Amazing service as always very helpful and dedicated to make sure that you will spend the best journey ever. Hotel is nice, breakfast is nice too, but I have to say that the best is the help desk available at anytime. They are very kind and they always make you feel special. I recommend you to go there without any doubts!

Hotel with stunning views from the 12th floor room, with a spectacular terrace overlooking the city… L-shaped terrace, … with a pool facilities on the 22nd floor spectacular.
Important to find in reception to friendly people, and very attentive to the customer… especially speak in Spanish, which makes it much easier to resolve any queries.

Beautiful 5 star hotel. Check in and reception staff was impeccable and were able to answer questions about the hotel and about Bucharest. All of the rooms have balconies that have great views of the city. The AC in the room was on, but didn't seem to do much to cool the room. The pool/sauna/steam-room/whirlpool were amazing and had commanding views of the city from the top of the building on the 22nd floor.

Fantastic hotel! Absolutely luxurious! Gorgeous fresh flower displays in the lobby. Feather pillows, oversized fluffy towels, great shower. Can't fault this hotel.

The equipment of the hotel is perfect, all five stars. The photograph corresponds to the door of the theatre that is on the side. The breakfast buffet is a luxury.

Makes it hard to sleep in summer. Service is very friendly. Location. Best! Walk to old town, metro, shops. If they would just have a decent AC I would go there again. Or in winter.

Amazing room, staff, breakfast and hotel facilities. The workers at the hotel were very professional from the minute we arrived at the hotel and showed a lot of hospitality. The room was very nice and neat, and the view from the balcony was I can say, pretty breathtaking. The cleaning crew did a very good job over my stay; the bed was very comfy. The pool was amazing and very clean even at the end of the day & the breakfast buffet included a wide variety of foods to choose from. Being in the heart of Bucharest, you can go to the Old Town Lipscani by walking and many other places. Truly a 5* hotel.

Really excellent hotel. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The hotel is only a short walk away from the old town. While the rooms with thick, red carpet and cushioned walls are nice and quiet, you will hear the busy traffic around the hotel. Both restaurants in the hotel were quite good, but there are also plenty of options available if you want to spend less money. Overall my room was very clean and well maintained with good amenities. The view from the balcony was worth the noise of the traffic.
