Our stay at Hotel Capitol was very nice and we received what we booked it for. The room was clean and cosy, with only a few worn-off details and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was polite and helpful. Its location is ideal: it is within walking distance of all important sites and has easy access to the metro and buses. This very location, however, might be the cause of some inconvenience to some. You can always hear the hum of traffic, as two main city arteries pass outside your window. Plus, during weekend nights, you can hear the music beat from some nearby dancing club. Not a very big issue though. Overall, a nice experience.
I stayed in the hotel for two nights. It’s a good location if you would like to Bucharest attractions. There are a lot different restaurants around. But it’s all. Room was no so clean: debris and hair on the carpet. It was problem with ventilation. Extractor didn’t work in the bathroom. There is a night club in 100m, it works till 5.00 a. M. There are renovation works opposite the windows, you can hear it since 8.00. The biggest “surprise” is a cockroach in the bathroom.
