Royal Qatar Hotel

Friendly staff, helped to checkin & check out was very fast. Food price is cheaper when compared to other hotel’s restaurants. Quantity & quality is very good.

Enjoyed my stay for a couple of nights. Clean bed towels etc. Carpet needed stretching and fitting correctly. Pool only opens at 2pm so not much sun time as in dark for most of the time. Looks like a big mosque being built next door. Good walking location for boat rides souques etc. Large shopping and city malls a cheap Uber ride away. Good breakfast. Extra. Nice friendly staff. I would stay again depending on new construction next door.

Excellent hotel, the experience was different from other experiences, all services were good, good reception, cleanliness of the place and the food deserves thanks and is close to Souq Waqif.

I was terribly disappointed by this hotel, and I concluded that it might as well just be a 2.8 stars hotel if possible, I am curious as to how the got 4 stars cert.
Firstly, the room was small, restroom was even worse as the whole restroom was like a cubicle and water leaks from the tap by the WC and also out of the cubicle itself, which was even terribly smaller.
Restaurant is so useless that the food takes way longer than they say it'll take (although the food was decent with good price), but they won't even microwave food for you if it's from outside, like seriously? A 4 star hotel? It's enough that I do not have a microwave to myself in the room, and now I have to buy from them if I want microwave service? The worst part is that the restaurant attendant told me to bring my food (I bought this one from them) down to the restaurant if I want it microwaved, seriously?
The final nail in the coffin was when I was gonna leave and I ordered for some food that I was gonna take back on my trip back home, it was late at night, I couldn't pay cos the delivery guy failed to come with a POS machine, so I tried to talk to the receptionist if there was a way he could help out cos I could only use my card virtually from my watch, he couldn't even suggest a sulution, he just outrightly turned me away "politely", and he's supposed to be good at hospitality? I was literally stranded and eventually had to drop by the restaurant on my way to the airport.

Advantages:
— Helpful, kind, and attentive staff.
— Spacious and clean rooms.
— Affordable pricing.
— Small swimming pool and gym available.
— Close to Souq Waqif.
Disadvantages:
— A bit far from the nearest metro station (10-minute walk)
— No kitchenette in the room, only a kettle.

This hotel is a great affordable option if you just need a place to stay temporarily. The staff are amazing and very accommodating. Good enough comfort for just passing by. Really amazing staff and great facilities if you’re just looking for a temporary place for a short while.

This hotel is cheap, and the location is fairly good. However, the rooms are not so good. Very uncomfortable beds (hard and pillows are not good), sheets are uncomfortable. The bathrooms are outdated and very small. The noise from the road is very loud, which makes it hard to sleep. Positive side, the service was very good and reception was very friendly. Location is good. Just need to update the rooms please.

What a super warm welcome we received, we arrived about 10.30am and were in our room by 11am, we were offered coffee in the reception area, everywhere you went I the hotel was so very clean, the swimming pool was excellent again very clean as was the Gym, Breakfast was adequate with a lovely friendly lady waitress the red tea was to die for really really lovely a perfect cup of tea. Thank You to everyone at the Royal Qatar Hotel in Doha you were ALL amazing. Henry & Hazel ❤️

Fantastic spacious rooms, clean and great hygiene.
Staff is exceptional and friendly. Not that far from the airport and close to the main city. Great value for money.

The hotel is located in a central area, metro close, souk a few minutes away. I was initially skeptical when I booked but now I can tell you that I made the right choice. I had room 309, the room was large, clean, nothing was missing. The bed was very comfortable, hot water and most importantly very quiet. But apart from the room I will say that the staff is fantastic. No matter who was on duty, they were available. The girl at the reception (sorry I don't know her name) is a treasure, beautiful, smart and available to help at any time. I will come back here without hesitation.

The Hotel is in a perfect location: 5 minutes walk from the Souq and 15 from the Corniche. The facility is outdated but very clean and quiet. Good breakfast for 10 euros, only savory. Room service food is also tasty. Very kind and helpful staff.

Everything was great for our stay from the beginning to the end. Rooms were neat and clean, staff was very welcoming and the vibes on general were good. The only thing I'd point out is the breakfast, which looked a bit sad with very few options and especially very empty dishes. I guess either smaller plates or bigger portions would do. Overall a great experience.
Recommended.

The water filled the entire bathroom every time you took a shower because the shower box is old and lets water leak. A disaster!

* booked on booking. Com but I found out during my stay in the hotel that the booking was officially from expedia. It and therefore I couldn't get the invoice from the hotel! Booking. Com had to be more transparent!

Stayed here for 3 days.
Hotel was decent compared to the price.
10 mins walking distance from Msheireb (connector station) metro station.
5 mins walking distance from Souq waqif metro.
Very close the Souq Waqif market.
They don’t have any restaurant service yet. Some permission issue, but they do have breakfast facilities. Also no microwave available even for common facility.
Max 2 bottles water per day. Better to buy water from nearby super market.
Room was good. Clean. Decent size. Not sure why but shower water was always hot. Even in September end. The staff were cooperative enough to help validate the water temperature. But as per them that’s normal temp in Doha’s weather.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Shower leaked onto floor and smelled of sewerage. Wifi was poor strength. Hotel marketed as non-smoking, but ash tray provided in room and stale smell of cigarette smoke in room and corridors. Cleaning and room service was excellent. Quality fixtures, fittings, beds, linen, curtains etc. But workmanship on construction is poor. Good value, good location. Paid extra for early check in, even though this was clearly communicated in original booking.

The carpet is old, and not fit on the floor.
You can see upset light from outside the room coming from the big space between the room door and the floor.
There was glass shower cabins,
But the water leaking to whole bathroom, some of the shower towels have yellow stained.
There was only one tea bag and 3 suger sachet, and despite the luggage guy mentioned there is kettle and coffee and tea, but he did not even refill it, this same minute I check in.
The fridge was dirty, and there was dirty used plasticware.
No Iron.
And unfortunately I forgot to tale pictures.
I asked to bring drinking water.
The most worse point is the location, at night you feel your in Bombay, workers everywhere, keep staring at you and your family,
No enough parking, only around 5-7 parking space underground, for small cars, but there is unsafe space beside the hotel for parking.
Very near to Souq Waqif.

We arrived at midnight without luggage. Staff were very helpful, provided us with everything we needed. Good hotel, very reasonable price, we walked to the old town, to the bay, Museum of Islamic Art.
