If you're looking for a clean, affordable spot in a perfect location, book this now. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome—honestly some of the best service I've had in years. Steps away from the best restaurants and transit. Small rooms, but they have everything you need. 10/10 would stay again.
My wife and I stayed at Mushreb Hotel after arriving late at night on the 22nd, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.
Upon entering the room, the condition was shocking. There was visible sand all over the carpet, stains and marks on the doors, and part of the ceiling was broken. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and felt worn out, making it very difficult to rest after a long journey. To make matters worse, there was no hot water in the room. When I went to reception to report this, I was told, “Sorry, some rooms don’t have hot water, ” which was completely unacceptable for a hotel stay.
We booked this hotel through Discover Qatar, assuming it would reflect a certain standard and represent the country well. Sadly, it did exactly the opposite. The room condition and lack of basic amenities gave a very poor first impression of hospitality in Qatar.
I do want to mention that the staff were courteous and tried to be helpful within their limitations, which I appreciate. However, politeness alone cannot compensate for the poor state of the rooms and facilities.
This hotel clearly needs major renovation and better maintenance. More importantly, Discover Qatar should seriously reconsider partnering with properties like this, as it risks damaging their reputation and disappointing travelers who expect a decent standard of accommodation.

Thought I was in for a decent stay. The staff kindly offered me a late checkout when I called in the night to receptionist (Adnan) — how thoughtful, right? Well, enter the manager (Mahamad), who apparently runs the place and doesn't even know H of Hospitality. He called in at 11:30am and when I informed that I was given late checkout he said NO, you don't understand? System will charge you automatically. When asked him to check with staff he replied " Staff is sleeping, Do you understand what I am saying". With all the charm of a brick wall.
It’s almost impressive how one person can undo the goodwill of an entire team in seconds. If the goal was to make guests feel unwelcome, mission accomplished. Honestly, why bother training staff to be accommodating if the manager is just going to stomp all over it?
To all the OTA : If you enjoy listing hotels where managers treat guests like inconveniences rather than customers, this one’s a shining example.
