The hotel is wonderful. With its 18 floors it offers 360-degree views of the whole city. It offers services of all kinds breakfast dinner gym dining meeting room. The rooms are huge as well as the bathroom provided with all sorts of comforts. C and also heats towels, iron and hangers. Great on all sides. Friendly and prepared staff. Recommended.

Stayed there already a couple of Time. Nice rooms. The plus is the small but nice wooden terrace on the top of the hotel for a late night drink enjoying the view and the music. Only 4 stars because the breakfast is not that great compared to surrounding hotels.

I was impressed with this hotel the second I walked in. For the quality and price of the rooms, it is totally worth it. My room had an awesome view and was extremely clean. The staff, especially João and Tania, were exceptionally helpful and professional. Nothing better than complimentary port wine (or two ;) ) and a free session in the spa. I would recommend this hotel to anybody and would stay here again.

As you approach this beautiful 5* hotel you will be welcomed at the entrance by the friendly staff and you can feel the luxurious customer service from the start of your stay. The hotel has a luxurious reception area and 5* service including luggage delivered to your room, guest room service and cleaning twice a day. The hotel is located just 30-40 minute walk from the centre of porto town and there is the option to get a taxi. The coast is also a (45 minutes) walk or taxi (7 minutes), where you can enjoy the pleasant beach. The hotel offers food all day and evening and room service is a treat, ranging from around 15 euro for a starter / main course 20 – 30 euro. The breakfast is highly recommended and is of a very high standard, offering fresh salmon, healthy cereals, eggs, breads and hot food selection. The hotel rooms are luxurious, and extremely comfortable and include a separate bathroom and toilet room, a desk and chair, spa robe and slippers and comfortable bedding. A room with the city/sea view is also highly recommended, one of the best views imaginable from a hotel room. All rooms have access to a fast Wi-Fi which is a real bonus for anyone on business. The hotel offers facilities including gym, pool and spa which includes a steam room, shower with different features, indoor swimming pool, hot tub, treatments, relaxation area and a sauna.

If you want to back at the 80's is a best place, it's not a real 5 star hotel, I guess it's a poor 4* or a nice 3*, people who work there is awesome and nice people.

We did a room upgrade and they had many welcome details. Easter bonbons every night, 2 bottles of water and good overall attention. The room was very large and comfortable. All very clean. The VIP Lounge, located on the 19th floor, has good views of the city.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice bed and bathroom, good views. But some unforgivable service failures in a 5 *: No minibar for an error of yours, and no TV for two days.

Outwardly it doesn't look like much. But once in there we understand better the word palace used. Very nice hotel. Very good gastronomy. The rooms are large and clean. There's even a TV in the shower! In short it's the small dishes in the big ones.

Excellent Hotel and Location! The Hotel is located in the Av Boavista, which is a principal avenue with excellent connections to the overground and places to visit. You also have a decent supermarket by side the hotel and very nice shopping centre, called Mercado Bom Sucesso, close to the Casa Da Musica. The hotel room was really clean and well distributed, very comfy beds and excellent customer service. The hotel member's of the staff made our stay very enjoyable, from the checking in until check out. The cleaners also were very good, very professional, paying attention to every detail. The customer service in general is really sparkles! The swimming pool facilities were ok, but with few limitations on use due to the agreement with external providers, but still ok. Definitely returning to this hotel next time! Thank you very much.

The hotel is its 5 star value. Only small ambiguities during the opening hours for bars, restaurant and pool/spa during the year change were ugly!
Otherwise the staff is very friendly, the rooms and spa clean!
Food technically best to go to the restaurant Portobeer next door, which belongs to the hotel. I have already made a comment on this. The breakfast itself was super tasty!

Very friendly staff. The cleaning lady of the 16th floor a woman charm and for the rest all OK. Only point better is the TV in the room that could have better picture quality. The room service was excellent.

Far from the action. Plain rooms. But very well appointed.

It was okay. Rooms were good but there was nothing special about it to warrant a 5 star rating. No all night bar.

An upscale place in multiple aspects for sure… from the moment that we arrived up to the rooms and suport facilities. Biggest gap and chalenge to be solved identified is the breakfast. In my point of view a 5 star st this level deserves a better breakfast offer and service… remember that this is the first contact and impression that the client gets in the morning…

Spacious rooms, beautiful buffet breakfast and on the top floor a superb view of the Douro and the ocean!

Great hotel, but they ignored what I requested in the reservation message. Also, the mattress could have been of better quality, otherwise great experience. Good views, food, SPA and friendly staff.

We went to Porto Palácio for a hen do and received an amazing treatment. The lady that received us was very kind and explained everything very well and even though we were a bit late gave us extra minutes in the spa. The bride loved the massage and we all loved the spa. Best way to finish the weekend.

Very nice hotel not too far from the center of Porto which still requires to take the bus or a taxi. In the morning take your breakfast at the convenience store next door.

Porto Palácio is a run of the mill independent five-star hotel located in the business district of Boavista Ave. Probably one of the best hotels in the area, along nearby Sheraton. Not quite suitable if you intend to visit downtown on a daily basis (metro is about 15 min walking distance from the hotel). Recently refurbished, the front of the building includes one of Pedro Cabrita Reis cheeky yet clichéd installations. The hotel is owned by local entrepreneur Mr. Belmiro de Azevedo, ranked by Forbes as the 605th richest person in the world, as well as the 2nd richest in Portugal.

Great top floor bar with stunning views. Plenty of space in the rooms. Good breakfast with port wine selection☺

I booked into this hotel on the 18th December for 2 days and I was hugely impressed with the courtesy extended to myself and my partner. The food and bathroom facilities took our breath away. The icing on the cake was the readiness and for very little money I was able to keep my car parked in the hotel car park, or one that they have the use of. I recently booked into another 5 star hotel and this one is charging more than double the money to park my car — so I intend to park elsewhere. I shall be writing my views of that hotel on their website. I intend to visit all the best hotels in Porto and write an account for tourists from the UK. Well done Hotel Palacio! I shall be back soon…

A great 5 star hotel. It deserves them all. Super friendly staff, great room service, full breakfast buffet super… Spacious rooms and super clean, also return to spend the afternoon to fix them and let a detail in the bed.
