Great hotel. Rooms are big, modern and comfortable. Breakfast is very good.

This hotel is good but definitely not 5 star. You can hear water running from neighbouring rooms and doors slamming in the morning. The bedrooms are fine but decor is "cheap white IKEA" style. The buffet breakfast in fairness to them is excellent, with a wide variety of options. The gym is very poor quality with some equipment broken and borderline dangerous. The price for room service is very high, and the room service received was a miserable portion for the price. The hotel is fine but next time I would try Airbnb when visiting Porto.

Hotel recommended 100x100! Very spacious rooms with a small gym, the squas track which is very nice and a pool not too big but enough on the roof with bar to ask for a drink, the glasses are expensive but at night you really deserve to have one. The views from above are not spectacular but not bad. The breakfast is very good, there is everything and quite decent. It is worth spending some night at the hotel after seeing the beautiful city of Porto.

The first impression of the hotel is negative. Despite arriving at the Hotel at 13:00, the receptionists did not even make any attempt to at least register us, let alone settle (from 14 and come after 14). In the evening we stood at the registration for 40 minutes. Welcome drink — tea from tea bags in plastic! Cups. The rooms don't seem to smoke, but there is a bad smell. The pool is small with cold water, there are no sunbeds near the pool. Fungus in the bathroom and broken equipment. Far from 5 stars.

Buffett is nice, and overall food in Portugal is way better than most of the countries in Europe.

It takes a little patience to take the elevator at rush hour, but the reception of the staff erases this little annoyance.

The hotel makes a very good impression at first glance. Upon arrival, you will find yourself in a spacious and well-kept lobby. The food is ok and the service fast and courteous. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Unfortunately, you can hear the neighbour through the wall when people talk louder or the TV is a bit louder. The bathroom has a slightly unpleasant smell, but basically everything clean and well-groomed.
Also very nice is the roof terrace with pool and bar. Here you can end the day in the open air with relaxed music.

My worst 5 stars experience — ever: 1) Paid parking (!? ) despite it was almost empty. 2) Unprofessional reception — asked us to show phisical debit card despite the bill was prepaid. Couldn't explain why they needed it. 3) Giving such a room (photos below) in low season to a couple having honeymoon is… pretty mean. 4) Very noisy room due to (most likely) air-conditioning working on level 1. 5) Only one working TV channel (! ) Summary: Actually I'm pretty surprised why this hotel has 5 stars so I recommend to pay 20-50 euros more and book Sheraton instead.

Good hotel. Too bad the breakfast only opens at 7am… For those who are there to work it's too late. The rooms are comfortable but the lateral soundproofing is not good enough for my taste.

The staff was really kind, but for the rest the position is really outside the city, I paid 140€ for a standard room the I would found at 100€ max in some other place, The view from the rooftop is not on the city… I don't understand where the 5* come from!

It is located in a slightly depressed area and away from the centre and tourist attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and very good value (maybe because it is not in the best area of Porto). The quality of the sleep is good, the mattresses almost new and the amenities a little scarce. All very clean. Not a bad place to spend a couple of nights.

Very friendly clean and comfortable. Food is decent. Room large (had an executive suite) although views only just included the sea — mostly houses Etc. We were on the 10th floor. Excellent cleaning of rooms and reception staff couldn't be more helpful. We just had bed and breakfast but tried an evening meal. It was a buffet style meal at 22 euros per head. Plenty to eat but fairly unexciting. Reasonable and adequate. Bus service out front of hotel. No 200 into town about 2 euros each one way. Buy ticket on bus. Taxis vary. From town one taxi cost 5 euros, another ten. We arrived late into Porto (Ryan Air) and our shuttle service (booked through Loveholidays) was nowhere to be seen and emergency number no answer. Taxi from airport to hotel cost 21.5 euros. Lots to see and do in Porto and around. Well worth the visit.

I didn't like it very much because this in a very dodgy neighborhood is full of drogainomana people. Apart the rooms have very thin walls almost smoking paper and you hear all my neighbor I do not stop snoring all night. We were taking the dinner menu which apart from being scarce it was very very expensive. The breakfast buffet was not good either. There was nothing for celiacs or milk that was not cow. To say something positive, I will say that the beds are very comfortable and have bathrobes in the bathroom as well as some slippers to be able to go around the room. I liked that.

Modern rooms, clean, comfortable bedding, ultra-copious breakfast and nice restaurant. Nice personal. I recommend and go back regularly.

Very good hotel. To this day is the best hotel I've ever been to. I think we should congratulate all the staff, but especially the cleaning service. Everything was very clean and smelt very good. To put some glue, I did not like the area in which the hotel is located, as there were low houses with many people who were all hours on the street and did not offer much confidence, but at no time I saw anything happen. Also, to put some glue, was a little away from the center. But as an appraisal of the hotel, I found it very good.

Great hotel… Great pool. With the douro throwing himself into the sea… Too bad for the paid parking of 11 euros per day … For the personal rest welcoming very nice… Varied and hearty breakfast.

Big comfy bed, large tidy room and spacious bathrooms. Excellent service from start to finish and plenty of choice for breakfast, a little cold but it was buffet style so I expected it to be lukewarm. Could do with labelling up for vegetarians. Miguel is a top barman and a very nice man he deserves a payrise.

Beautiful hotel, if you passing by than ask to go up to the restaurant floor to admire the view over the old porto city. Also have a coffe and enjoy.

A very pleasant stay. Attentive staff. Very comfortable room. Somewhat removed from the center but with public transport very close by. The tourist bus tea picks up and leaves you at the same door. Free Bus to the English court.
The worst the adjacent area if you leave the car at night, we opened it and stole its contents. It is advisable to leave it near or in the parking (11 euros per night). Taxis are quite cheap, about 6 euros to the center.

The neighborhood next door a danger, we saw cars with busted crystals.
The breakfast was great and the food was good. The regular room service, they don't sweep the carpet and the regular bathroom… bad for a five star. The bide loses water, there is hardly room to sit…

Rooms are spacious, breakfast is great (although they don't provide take away cups for coffee). The gym is too tiny and the swimming pool is not really appropriate for exercising (more of a place for a drink). Only 1 out of the 3 lifts was working most of time, which made going down at breakfast time quite painful one morning. Shower temperature annoyingly oscillates and water pressure could be improved. My room had no shoehorn nor slippers and toilet paper quality is not the best.

Pros: Breakfasts are very good here. Staff is nice and attentive. Bar and food prices are relatively cheap. Cons: It has no good views as its location is far from the center and in urban area. The pool at the top is very small. Wi-Fi is free but is very slow. There's no air-shaft in the room's bathroom: when you shower everything becomes humid and you can't see anything in the mirror.

Situated a little bit outside town this hotel offers great value. Beautiful marble reception area is very welcoming on arrival and rooms are pleasant, if a little dated. One criticism is the internet service which is slow at best. My 4G mobile connection was faster generally. And the TV did not even have a programme guide to see what was on. However, overall a great value, quality hotel that is a short taxi journey from the centre of town and the airport.

Good facilities, dining and bar services are to be commended. The swimming pool was good. The location was some distance from the city centre however taxis were cheap and public transport available but slow. Entertainment and restaurants near the hotel is limited but dependent on you level of expectations. Staff helpful but with limited English language skills. Tariff was OK.

A very comfortable spacious room always very clean breakfast is up to its 5 stars despite the lack of chocolate breads. The buffet of the restaurant is very well stocked whether it is lunch or evening it is not very expensive. The benefits were at the height of our expectations.
The pool on the rooftop is a very good place, despite the water from the pool still very cold…

5 * and the service is not. Staff cold or unpleasant not worthy of a 5 star. The only courtesy was made by Spanish foreign customers. We don't say hello or please or thank you. A shame for the manager who should rein his team on what means courtesy and attention customers…

It's a hotel that never disappoints. If that is true it really is not a 5 star but the value for money is very good. I have come to pay €55 per night on some occasion, buffet breakfast included which by the way is quite good.
The Attic pool is small but it is very good.

It's a bit out of the central port area, it's a good hotel but maybe you pay too much for what it offers you. It does not have a garden and the roof space with pool is very small.

Looks like a 4* should be a 2*. Inexperienced reception staff that consistently let down. My wife went in person to see this hotel and book a room with a view as a surprise for my birthday. When we arrived the only view we had was of the motorway. We asked to change room, the first room we were offered had a better view but not by much and the third stank of cigarettes. When we opted for the second room we were told that it was given to someone else. We were offered another room a that was a downgrade with a €5 rebate, which considering the cost of the room, is nothing short of offensive. Eventually, we were offered a downgraded room with free dinner, an upgrade to a suite with o view or our money back after the receptionist spoke to a manager who was​ not on site. We opted for a refund because the whole experience was so upsetting. We were in the hotel for nearly 2 hours before we were finally offered some water, but only after asking twice. Will never return here.

When you get a 5 star hotel for such a cheap price, you can't expect it to be good. First of all, the reception responded extremely arrogant when we arrived early in the morning and asked if it was possible for an early check in. Then they recommend you the worst hop on hop off bus tour (they claim wrong discounts on other tourist attraction and let you wait on every stop for 1 hour) just because it's cheaper than the others but they don't actually know anything about it. The buffet for lunch and dinner is way to expensive for how small and poor it is. The food from the menu is just as pathetic and tastes like warmed up in the microwave and you have to wait 40 minutes until you get your food. And the worst thing is, when we put our "Do not disturb" sign outside when we went to breakfast, the cleaning lady was inside our room when we came back. Neither reception nor cleaning lady was capable of apologizing. Last of all their rooftop swimming pool and bar seems extremely fancy, but is so windy that nobody spends their time there. Absolutely unprofessional and not worth a 5 star hotel.

My Husband and I are here celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary. It is a little out of town with little to do immediately outside the hotel but the taxis and buses to the main town and foz de douro are regular and everybody is friendly. The hotel is lovely and clean with a fabulous rooftop pool and bar. The breakfasts are nice, with great choice and plenty of food and beverages. The book in the room recommends fabulous restaurants which we have tried and I am so glad we did. A fabulous holiday so far.

Is quite a way out of the centre of Porto. Buildings and area surrounding the hotel not that nice.
Did get a bit fed up of having to get taxis and buses to get anywhere as it was quite hot and a good 20 minute walk to the sea front or river
Great to have a rooftop pool though so when we came back to hotel we could use the pool to cool off and relax

Was tea and coffee in the room however no milk and no topping up of this unless we asked and you pay extra for milk
Would advise having room high up so you get a nice view from your room

The rooms are rather large and comfortable, although the bathroom deserves a small renovation and insulation as you can hear the one in the adjoining room.
The breakfast buffet is very rich and of good quality. The staff are very nice except the reception which lacked a little smile.
The roof top deserves a little detour.

Hotel situated in a good location, 30min walking for the Centre of porto and 20 for the ocean. There's a bus stop and over ground train near the hotel. On the top floor you can have a great view of Porto, while swimming in the hotel's swimming pool.

The staff at the check in /vhrck out dies not really seem friendly or eagwr to help clients. All others are very courteous and friendly.

Optimal price / performance ratio
Here we have made holidays in January, we have chosen it because it is very humane prices and are the reviews here pretty good on average.
On arrival anyway, so it was with us, as we took the taxi from the airport and arrived in front of the hotel we were friendly. Employees have opened us even the door and the luggage taken off us and we could check this before 14: 00, that is already half 1.
German here but hardly anyone speaks, if even no one.
You can communicate only if you can speak some English.
The hotel from the outside as well as inside just beautiful, the corridors the rooms were also very stylish and luxuriously furnished.
The room was very clean, had several good features such as reading light lamp, mini bar, Wi-Fi and of course a tv.
Was somewhat a pity that there is no German-language channels at the TV, as well as some broadcasters do not work that only at number 10 ex. Something was running.
Vista of course was top class.
Then in the bathroom some pity there was with us just a bathtub with shower, shower not so private, for a five-star hotel.
Toilets were also very clean.
The bed had 2 PCs per person soft cushions, mattress was too hard for my taste.
We were not good leave window, because it is pretty noisy.
Location may not be optimal to far off centre and approximately 30-minute walk would be the sea.

It is not evil, good service and Nice, but it has a few details that are not a 5 star, although the price is acceptable.
It is a bit far from the historical centre of Porto but by car you reach pretty well since then go down one street which runs across the ribera del Duero and is a pleasant walk.

Hello, contracted your services par last month a Porto hotel, specifically, the Ipanema Park, five-star and the truth that left much to be desired, to start deceive us with the five-star, do not believe it is neither they nor you, hired two marriages and nothing else get already not only does not separate us from room, they send us to a different from each plant all this saying that there were many people and there were squares, luckily we had contracted with almost a month in advance, good that nothing else get; the rooms are in darkness, both want to save that they do not put or lights in the bathrooms my wife makeup room because in the bathroom doesn't look. Friday 21 do you know that there is no air conditioning in my room, we are going to not work, and they tell me that they would already send technical Mon later, I'm still waiting for by, Hey, I've been very disappointed with this five-star hotel, ah!, another thing about Wi-Fi which is of messing, not?, because shuts constantemente. No would recommend it anyone this hotel certainly. A greeting.

Good stay, staff very helpful, a lot of service, lack of sound insulation for rooms.

I would say it is a 4* hotel. Things that disappointed: (1) the swimming pool closes at 19:30, while I like swimming in the evenings; (2) sangria in the hotel restaurant costs €20 — a crazy price for ordinary sangria which is €12 max in all other restaurants even in Lisbon. When I asked the restaurant staff why it's so expensive, they told it's just because it's a 5* hotel — not because it's made on a special wine; (3) no slippers in the room, no robe (for the 5* hotel it's must). I had to ask for slippers. I got them, but I think the slippers must be provided without being asked by the guest; (4) doors and door handles are really old — definitely not 5*; (5) weird people taking the role of "parking staff" and looking like homeless asking for money and trying to park your car in a spot where it's prohibited to park; (6) no metro around; possible to get to the centre after 9pm but problematic. Positive things: (1) nice light room, nice design, enough space; (2) very good breakfast (we had it included) — very wide choice of food; (3) the swimming pool is on the 15th floor under the open air which is very nice — you can sunbathe there. I would not pay that money for the room in this hotel, I would not come back and would not recommend it.

An embarrassment of hotel 1:49 minutes to prepare 3 sandwiches. Attention and service at the hotel is a hostel level, does not deserve a star.

Excellent experience. To emphasize the neatness and cleanliness of rooms, sheets and bath. We stayed in regime AD and the breakfasts are excellent (in Porto you can eat and dine well for € 10 per person) the hotel offers the possibility of buffet food for 10, 50€ or buffet dinner for €15, drinks apart.
We took the 15-floor HF Pool Room, advertised it with views to the sea and the Duero, but gave us overlooking the city. We claim and they changed it the next day when there was availability. There is musical entertainment in the pool from Tuesday with very good musicians.
We hired a pack of excursions when you book hotel Web, for € 20 per person, q included tourist bus for 48 h (blue Bus), cruise of the bridges and visit to the wine cellars. The bus had phrases in Spanish and high speed Wi-Fi. I recommend hiring already in the hotel, and for the same price and choose the Red Bus with more step by the stops and q Cadence extends his tour of Gaia (the only blue bus passes every 35 min and just plays Gaia). It is an excellent option for getting around the city, up and down times as you want and passes close to the hotel.
Summing up: highly recommended visit Porto and stay at this hotel.

We spent a weekend in the city and the truth, we expected much more.
Room does not reach far, 5-star dinners a scandal, the first hour and half to serve it, the second 30 min. With prior claim. Also the buffet meal was over and just clean it.
The only good thing was the breakfast.

Despite being a bit nowhere from the center of Porto, everytime I go I decantaré by this hotel. The relationship quality price makes it a gem. The service is amazing and the comfort is maximum.
