Lawrence and Casa Gwendoline is the definition of hospitality and a true gift on the Camino. His home is the perfect resting stop before making your way to Valenca or Tui.

Good location, basic, good price.
Very noisy. Can hear everything in other rooms and downstairs.

Nice space equipped with functional bed and lockers. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Rooms have private bathrooms, so you have to share but only with a limited number of people.

Friendly stay, I had 1 of 8 beds in a room. Still did not feel crowded. Location is very good many restaurants near by and close to the pear where I took the water taxi to A Guarda. Recommended stay.

This is such a hidden gem! The most magical place I’ve ever been to. Stayed there for a night on my Camino and I can tell you it’s definitely worth going up the hill even on the end of a long day.

We had a great, restful evening at this albergue! Food offerings were very much appreciated, including homemade meals that we could eat on our schedule.

We had a great experience here. Three of us stayed on our first night of the Camino Português and this provided all we needed.

The location is amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They have great rules to keep things clean so that bedbugs have no chance.

First the good:
1. The reception clerks were super friendly and accommodating.
2. The location is great, right next to the river and just 1km from the center.

Very good environment. Delicious breakfast. Neat and clean rooms and washroom. Free Wi-Fi. And very good sea view.

Good extremely large youth hostel. Not many rooms available as rented out to students mostly.

A place to sleep in comfort and cook a light meal for your lunch or dinner.

The room was pretty small, but it was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi worked great, the showers worked well. The service was friendly. There was a common kitchen that you can use.

We stayed for a week. It's an amazing place to stay if you are visiting Guimaraes. Rooms are clean, with A/C, TV, and free Wi-Fi.

Location is amazing! Room, facilities, bed — everything was clean. Was a little bit afraid of reading the reviews, but all turned opposite way. Recommend👍

One of my favourite towns of the camino and this albergue had such a beautiful location. Could not beat walking out the door and being steps to the beach.

We recommend this place 100%. Besides the fantastic hospitality from the end of the owners, the place is beatiful and peaceful. You do not have how not to feel at home!

This hostel is great! Clean, centrally located, rooms and bathrooms are large and clean. Host is second to none, cheerful, welcoming, knowledgeable and approachable. Very affordable and reasonable.

Clean and efficient, please note there is someone there 24/7. The front desk person was very helpful. Clean room, great breakfast.
