Nice place to sleep and eat. The price is okay for the service and the rooms.

Great location near a metro stop (Marquês de Pombai) and lots of bus routes. Clean hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Large selection of choices for breakfast (cooked and cold).

Good room clean and delicious restaurant.

I stayed there for 3 night and I was well pleased. The rooms are clean and I really liked the size of the bathroom. They also have this thing where you can skip a day of cleaning and get a small coupon for room service which was also very lovely. The breakfast was good but I would have liked a better variety of foods. All in all good experience and a nice place to stay with a great location.

Located well, but sleeping on a mattress is not comfortable at all.

What a disappointment. Staff was so clumsy and rude, dinner was a disaster. Breakfast times were told wrong at reception so we came down and were too late. Nothing they could do. Such a beautiful place but they don't match the employees. Also on the seventh floor everything is super dark. Housekeeping walked in on us laying in bed, without even knocking! Also there is no safe in the room, what age is this?

Hotel centrally located. Metro, bus and panoramic 100 meters. Staff friendly, just not at the front desk. Unfortunately only 1 chair and 1outlet in a double room. TV: No German broadcaster. But everything very clean. Breakfast very good. The small bar is i. O.

Spacious and clean rooms, with the lack of a few electrical outlets. If you do not require the room service you are entitled to a discount coupon for the inside restaurant, which is of good quality and with interesting dishes. Bus stop to the Belem neighbourhood in front of the entrance and Metro at two steps.

Great hotel right in the center of things. The rooms are well keep and this a small bar wit specials around 19:00. The breakfasts are so so. And it is the only place in Portugal where wee have had really disgusting cafes. I would go back in a flash.

Checked into a room with splotches of marks on the floor, parts of the carpeted room were wet with who-knows-what, bedsheets and pillows were stained with wine and gray spots and pillows had a yellowish stain. Told front desk about it, and after lunch they changed the bed sheet, but moved the gray spotted pillow behind another pillow without changing it, carpet was still wet and full of splotches. Room has centralised airconditioninh which wasn't turned on, so that meant having to open the window facing the main road and that was quite noisy. Would choose another hotel next time.

Location, cleanliness and spacious rooms are the strengths of this hotel. Centrally located but not chaotic, residential and very close to Eduardo VII Park, a few steps from the Metro stop but on foot, through the Avenida de la libertate, 15 min to Roxio Square and Dom Pedro IV Square. Our room The 401 a spacious triple/quad with large bathroom. Change of linen every day. Breakfast is plentiful and with typical Portuguese products (Pasteis de nata every day! ). Great value for money Absolutely to recommend.

Very good location, totally friendly and helpful staff, rooms functional and clean, really good cocktails in the hotel bar at fair prices, decent breakfast with deductions for coffee and scrambled eggs.

One star given for great location One for lovely receptionist One for outwardly looking pretty and being clean But took one away… Lost stars were for — restaurant service — I arrived late at hotel and they couldn’t wait to get out, clearing food before I’d finished. Odd menu — pretty but as a tired traveller I just wanted price and choice not a magazine. — room: rock solid bed, tiny window overlooking an alley, which I only found by moving a panel, thinnest quilt, room dark and cold, no drinking water available, even for sale. Paper thin walls meant I heard people moving around all night. And a regular rumbling sound from overhead, something being moved around. — shower was a hose type. Fine, at least not that ‘how fies this particular shower operate’ you get i. Many hotels with more sophisticated showers. But this was broken, so the only way to shower was to stand holding it (no bath). They said they’d fix it, but it dripped all night. — gym doesn’t open until 9am and closed at 9pm. Breakfast ends at 10, doesn’t start til 7. So my choice was between exercising on full stomach or losing part of day. Once you pay more than £100 per person per night for a hotel, it has to be better than a TraveLodge. Visually this is, but it’s all surface, not substance! I’d stay again, but only if I had no better choices.

Generally all good, except that in three days I don't know they changed the towels. Staff very good, reception, buffet, very efficient, breakfast quite acceptable, might repeat, with a smaller towel service.

Great location, quiet, very clean. It does not have parking but at about 150 meters there are several economic nuuy. Whole day €14. (Prices March 2018)

Hotel Expo Astoria hat eine sehr schöne Lage über die Avenida Liberdade geht es zu Fuß direkt in die Stadt. In Gegenrichtung liegt ein großer Park und auch nach Bairro Alto mit seinem tollen Nachtleben ist es zu Fuß nicht weit. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel aber nicht groß. Das Frühstück ist okay aber nicht top. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und kompetent. Ich kann das Hotel für eine Städtereise 5 Tage empfehlen. Gruß Matthiaskoch41 ………………. tem uma localização muito agradável na Avenida Liberdade, está caminhando diretamente para a cidade. Na direção oposta é um grande parque e também para o Bairro Alto com a sua grande vida nocturna, não é longe a pé. Os quartos são confortáveis, mas não é grande. O café da manhã é bom, mas não superior. A equipe é muito simpática e competente. Posso recomendar o hotel para uma pausa na cidade 5 dias. In the opposite direction is a large park and also to Bairro Alto with its great nightlife, it is not far on foot. The rooms are comfortable but not big. The breakfast is okay but not top. Good mattress, spacious bathroom, clean, comfortable, good location.

Price and performance in line. Good restaurant. Good breakfast. Room small but okay.

Clean and modern furnishings. Huge shower and the beds are comfortable. From the 4th floor you have a great view if you have a front room. Absolutely quiet, you hear nothing! There is a need for improvement in the number of sockets. Two are in the room, one of which is occupied by the TV and you can only pull the plug with small hands. The bathroom is exclusively for shaving machines. Other cables do not pull enough power. So who posted here should pack a multiple connector… (Those who value, pad etc) And those who suffer from a perfume allergy should first ventilate after checking in. The used scent is quite penetrative. Tip: If you dispense with daily cleaning and changing of towels, there is a €5 voucher for the bar.

Large rooms but kept dark. Also the hallways are extremely dark clean!

I really liked this hotel, very attentive the employees, the room was the ideal size and the bathroom was huge and very comfortable, the location is nice. Almost every night I ate at the hotel restaurant and the food is very good with affordable prices.

The hotel is well-communicated, has a metro stop a few steps away. Cafes and restaurants close by. The cleaning is good, the workers friendly. The worst thing a noisy room 24 hours a day, I imagine by machines of air conditioning. With a view to a wall at the little meter window. For more disaster each two for three in the bathroom were unpleasant odors from sewer. We complained about the noise, they came, looked and went by us.

Nice room Friendly staff.

There was a stench emanating from the bathroom drain which upon repeated complaint was not addressed to. No compensation was offered for the inconvenience caused. The only offering was a change of room and after strong protests was upgraded to a higher class. The approach of the hotel staff was far from courteous.

The hotel is nicely decorated, clean and spacious. Friendly and attentive workers.
The worst thing is that the views of the room are a white wall of the building next door, with a separation of less than a metre.
And for more inri throughout the day you hear a deafening noise like air conditioning that leaves a lot to be desired.

Clean, relatively close to the center. Street parking on Saturday and Sunday. The other days Blue zone. Parkin is nearby.

Putting do not disturb on the door is useless because the cleaning ladies start their gossip talks loudly in the corridors early at 9:00am, stayed at the hotel for 6 nights and every morning have to call the reception every morning to tell them to stop talking so the management seems so week with no power on employees, they do not change the bed sheet on daily basis, their is a tag to request not to change while no tag to request changing it, the most important thing the reception are friendly but when we request a tissue box for the room, the reply was that we can support you with one single tissue paper but we can't support a box of tissue but can use the toilet papers, by the way their is no luggage bell boy service.

First we where given a room that smelled really bad, we where allowed to change, which was nice. However the room we had instead must have been just buy the cleaners. We woke up at 7 every morning from loud sounds from the cleaning crew. Also some sort of loud banging from the floor above. The beds were really hard. The good things where the voucher you get if you don't acquire cleaning. The gin and tonic was good.

Not a good experience. No car parking, small rooms and a claustrophobic restaurant for dinner or breakfast. Staff needs more management training.

Stayed in B&B x three days room 201 with a little girl di5anni and my husband. Staff nice and nice minimal breakfast not much choice on the last day the breakfast spoons were all dirty, badly washed, I pointed it out and they quickly changed it. There is so much carpet that I do not particularly love CMQ the room was clean.

It was a very nice hotel. Discreet kitchen.

Nice clean rooms. Good location in the city and yet you barely hear the traffic (except the police etc. Passes by).
Breakfast is chaotic when the hotel is full. The waiters in the evening could be quite friendly and less arrogant.

Room small. Only two electric outlets in a room for three persons. Crew very respectful. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel. Good location, but you'll need transportation to the main center of Lisbon if you do not want to walk 10 or 15 minutes.

For European standards it is a very good hotel. The bathroom has been renovated, everything works just fine. First they gave a small room. After talking to them, we were given a bigger and lighter one.

A truly awful hotel! The only good point was its location. Our room had stained walls, a filthy carpet and uncomfortable bed. The bathroom was worse, dirty and a toilet seat that was wobbly and had been badly repaired. Our room access cards repeatedly did not work so we had to keep queuing at the desk to have them recharged. Many of the staff very rude and unhelpful. The breakfast room too small for the number of guests and many essentials (bacon, glasses to drink from, butter, tea, croissants) seemed to have run out by 8.30 though breakfast time lasted until 10.00. The lights in the corridors were on a delay and often left you in total darkness. Don’t go here. Any hotel in Central Lisbon must be better.

It's a very nice beautiful hotel and clean. We got an 'upgrade' to a family room which was very big for 2 persons. But we requested a double bed and unfortunately the family room had two separate beds. We called to the reception and they really couldn't believe that the room we got had two separate beds. (we could stand in between them so. ) After we got switched to another room which was a lot smaller but perfect for us. Our stay was only for 3 nights. The room was clean an…d nice. The only thing. Just 1 powerpoint for the entire room! Really not 2016. ;) Although we managed by taking plug out of the minibar so we had 2 powerpoints. We also requested a room with a nice view the family room and the other room did not have this at all. The first room was looking down at the airconditioning machines and (I guess the outside of the kitchen area? ) The other room was not much better. The view from the window was to the broken window with dirty curtains next to our building. Too bad they don't appreciate the requests from the guests. I know it can be difficult to please everybody but hey. The personal was okay. Did not spoke to them a lot. It was just a 'Hello' and 'Goodbye' whenever we entered or left the hotel. They also did not ask how our stay was when we left, which I personally think lacks involvement and interess. This could be improved. Overall we had a good stay but could have been better when they adjust these little small things.

Initially given wrong room asked for triple for 3 friends and was given 1 double and 1 single. After request to get a room as per our booking we were given a strange room, 3 single beds but a very smelly bathroom which we could not get rid of. Little room behind a sliding door, very strange. Only window and view was in the side room and the the view was the side of the building next door. Wireless access did not work in the room unless you were in one spot. Only there a couple of days so did not complain. Staff were helpful though. Shame loved Lisbon.

Quality hotel downtown and close to the metro. Beds of quality and hearty breakfasts.

Good delivery, the beds are comfortable, the deco is good, nice hotel staff. The hotel air conditioning and close to the metro station and near the bus stop, you can eat dinner in a restaurant just out of the hotel on the right hand side typically Portuguese. Coffee 75 cents, the famous Portuguese beer at 1 euro to the hotel bar. Breakfast choice avoid orange juice and eat more fruit, and bacon and sausage omelet…

Receptionists agradables. Aire conditioning magnifico. Las rooms very limpias. Desayuno bueno. Los sometimes unpleasant smells but I guess that it is because works as follows in remodelacion. Esta very central and very close to a pizza delivery, mcdonald's and a mini price that is same day ten steps metro and the fair bus stop opposite. In general pretty good.
