Hotel itself was very nice, especially with the beautiful rooftop bar and the outside restaurant area. The staff weren’t very friendly though. Also I would’ve expected much more of a 4 star breakfast buffet. It took ages to refill plates, bowls and food. Plus the food wasn’t very good. The gluten free area is unpractical as everyone uses their pastry tongs and places them in the gluten free area, meaning there are non gluten free bread crumbs on the gluten free plate. I think the staff should be more patient as eating gluten can cause extrem damages for many people. Rooms are pretty and very clean. Hotel is located perfectly and central. All in all the hotel itself was alright but I would not visit again.

The most impressive thing about this hotel was the fact that they made an incredible effort to get everyone settled in their rooms before check in time. We arrived around noon, check in was 3PM, and our rooms were available. After a 7 hour flight from Philadelphia, our companions were exhausted. I also observed that people arriving the next day were given rooms as soon as they were cleaned. All of the staff @ the hotel were incredibly helpful, from the concierge to the wait staff who worked the breakfast room. Breakfast was fabulous with an array of everyting from bacon & scrambled eggs to cheeses, sausages, cereals, breakfast pastries, and a selection of foods which were gluten free. Location is incredible. One can walk to many places & restaurants. Available taxi, team & til til service right outside the hotel for places more distant.

The breakfast is great. The room big and tidy. The staff are friendly.

Hotel Mundial is centrally located and a very well run hotel. It is quiet, clean, and extremely comfortable. They offer an abundant, fresh breakfast. The staff is gracious and warm. We were thoroughly happy with our four nights there.

Clean, well maintained, conveniently located, good service, great restaurants, and a rooftop bar offering beautiful views of the city. Robes, hair dryer, room safe, and underground parking available. Taxis are readily available at the front of the hotel, and there is a stop for the 28 streetcar just across the road. A town square is across the road, offering music, food, drink, and local vendors. It was also easy to get to the airport from the hotel (a straight shot on one main road). Photos include views from the hotel.

I stayed at the Hotel Mundial because of the free parking and the Avis on premises. The hotel was in a great location, central to the old part of Lisbon. I was able to take the Metro from the airport (need to transfer at one point) and got out at Martim Moniz station. It was very easy and took about 30 minutes. The hotel room and the employees were both very nice. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay near the central part of Lisbon, and also if you want to rent a car at some point during your stay. I would recommend doing the paperwork for the car the prior afternoon and leaving the car parked at the hotel for a quick start in the morning. I understand that the rental car desk can be busy in the morning. Very nice hotel in good location.

Nice location Breakfast OK Spacious rooms. Very noisy on the other hand, echoing in the hallways, slamming doors; I recommend earplugs!

I was at a dinner at the Portuguese Doll Convention and the hotel staff were very friendly at all times. The location is great. The food had a lot of quality and the menu was exquisite.

The central location in Lisbon offers a good starting point to visit the city. The hotel is qualitatively in line with the four star rated! Spacious and well appointed rooms with a constant cleanliness. Very provided the breakfast area although restricted the time slot with a limit of 9 o'clock. 00!

The hotel is in a great location. The view from the room is just super-Castle St. George with night illumination looks great. Food is good, we liked it.

Pros: Nice hotel structure, building design, and rooms. Cleaning staff was great. Night shift lobby crew was polite. Great location. Cons: Prejudice towards "different", non-normal, people. Rude to anyone that doesn't look wealthy. Uncomfortable and cheap beds. Lobby manager lies and mistreats guests, without apologizing. Lobby security is hostile to those whom don't look like they "fit-in".

Friendly Hotel. Spacious… Small bathroom. But equipped with everything you need including bathrobe. The location was great.

Very nice hotel in Lisbon with a good location. Stayed there almost two weeks. Excellent selection for breakfast and several nice bars for relaxing. We had two different rooms and they both were very nice. I definitely would stay there again.

Very nice hotel in downtown Lisbon, easy to walk to riverfront and many interesting neighborhoods & shopping. Rooms are spacious enough, bathrooms spacious but very dim. The breakfast buffet is extensive, very fresh. Lovely rooftop bar with wonderful views of the old fort/castle. Great location!

The old part of Lisbon is a big plus of this hotel, the hotel itself is a bit tired, requires a cometary renovation. Very meagre breakfasts.

Great location, spacious room with super comfy enormous bed. Balcony was a bonus. Well equipped bathroom with gallons of hot water. Mini bar and safe but no tea/ coffee facility vin room.

The place is pleasant, wf was lost, sometimes not connected at all, the rooms are cold — the heating does not function air conditioning.

In the middle of downtown, awesome location. Walk straight up through the square and you get all these beautiful picturesque shots of what seems to be vintage Portugal. Then right behind the hotel you have all these great shops and restaurants. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous and the rooms are simple, yet completely functional and accommodating. Will definitely come back and stay at Hotel Mundial next time I visit Lisboa.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Another thing is the panoramic restaurant, the treatment of one of the metros… fatal, to have cancelled the reservation, a miss. Very bad, painful, a deal that ruined the night, the price they have in the car Val That bad professional.

Spacious rooms, right in front of the hotel, holds the famous tram line. Good breakfast. Food and drinks on the rooftop terrace overpriced. View for it priceless!

An excellent place to dine nice and with beautiful views. The viewpoint of the last floor is spectacular and it is worth spending some time there, at night, enjoying the sea, Lisbon and the fresco.

Very good reception but watch out for the insulation! We hear the neighbors talking as well as the people in the hallway.

My stay in your hotel, allowed me to reach with extreme ease all the places I had set out to see; Thanks to its strategic location.
The availability of your staff has been exemplary, according to all my requests, due to small mishaps.

I found it curious and not suitable the use of the third adult bed "low" and was this the reason for the first change of room, difficulty for an elderly to get up from that bed so low. In the second room the third bed was as normal required; But from the ceiling of the bathroom came down goccioloni of water, and this was the reason for the request for a further change of room. The third room had a great view of the castle with large windows, pity that the bidet faucet was not fully functional, which I didn't report for the availability previously shown by the staff.
I would suggest a control of the efficiency of the sanitary installations before assigning the rooms, so as not to cause future inconveniences and discomfort to the guests.
Overall my stay in your hotel was to my liking and I will definitely recommend it. Also the subsequent pictograms do not cover my situation correctly, family without children.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast with a great American buffet to choose from and the room and bathroom very clean and new, as seen in the photo. Definitely the best hotel to be able to choose in Lisbon in value for money, besides being very central.

Competent staff, we booked around 7:30 pm. When we arrived in the evening our room had not been made! A phone call at the front desk and two minutes later we'd be getting our suitcases in a suite on the 9th floor.

Friendly staff, clean, good breakfast, noisy in the rooms. It is quite central and there is trade and transportation around.

Very good location. Walking distance to most places. Lovely roof top bar. Downstairs bar and entry great for meeting your group. Rooms are very nice but do not have coffee mKers or kettles to boil water.

We had a spacious, modern room including air conditioning. The rooms are very stylish and clean. There were no complaints.
The breakfast is rounded up by a balanced buffet — lots of fruit, different bread and also local specialties.
The central location means you are in the city and a small market. Here you have the possibility to use the public transport or to stroll through the old alleys.
The rooftop bar is recommended even if this has neat, gezahlzene prices.
Deduction is only available through the many job sites, but that should have laid down after a few years.

The room is good also except for the TV for the evening when you come home in the evening there are only French news channels damage.

The best thing is the location, Martim Moniz Square while still being in the center is quiet and little busy, the whole center is within walking distance. The breakfast was very good and the room was very clean The only one I would put on the poor friendliness of the reception. Overall still excellent.

Good value for money. The best of this hotel is the location (city center) and the parking (free). The room was small but enough. The breakfast was also included but it was pretty standard, nothing remarkable. The staff was attentive and very nice.

They have lost a lot of quality in the service for details such as: — Contract a welcome fruit basket for arrival, but they did not put it. When claiming at reception the day after arrival not even apologized, just asked me to make it clear if I wanted to take it or not the next day to the room or not.
— In the room there was nothing to be able to signal at the door if we wanted to not be disturbed or if we wanted to arrange the room. Provoking this several entrances of the housekeeping staff into the room while we were inside. Acknowledge that they were very kind and apologized immediately. We warned of the incident but did not put anything to use it as an indicator.
I asked a receptionist if it was possible to call on our behalf to a restaurant to make a reservation and they indicated that they did not do that for their customers. I have stayed at other times in this hotel and had never had a problem in doing so.
As I have already indicated I have stayed at other times in this hotel, appreciating very much the friendliness and good deal that on those occasions they had shown as well as the good location of the hotel. But of course after the incidents of this occasion I do not know if I will stay at the world Hotel again.

Central and strategic Hotel to visit Lisbon, clean and elegant, the staff is a little superficial, (but nn know if it is a Portuguese culture) we were a big group and they did a bit of confusion with the rooms… and lost three documents, but did not want to deepen the Their mistakes… while showing him the certainty that the mistake was his…

The room was comfortable, clean; the breakfast was sumptuous. The cleaning personnel were excellent and pleasant. The price was right, 99 euros a day or about $117-118. The location of the hotel was excellent. I have recommended the hotel to friends. The reception was very helpful.

The hotel has a convenient location, the rooms are clean. The toilet is not thought out. It's going through the windows! It's a good breakfast. From the restaurant a beautiful view of the square! On the 8th floor, a non-alcoholic restaurant overlooking the city just above has a bar. Near the hotel stop 28 tram!

Very busy location. Noisy at all hours even throughout the night. A/C in hotel shut off in beginning of October which made our room like a sauna to sleep in (or very noisy with window cracked open). Lights and fan in bathroom didn't work. And could not get a seat or service of any kind at rooftop patio/bar. If your a young couple be prepared to get ignored a lot. They like the rich older folk type of people feeling IMO.

More than dignified Hotel, in the centre of Lisbon. Tram stop 28 to 2 minutes, Metro to 5. The breakfast was very good From the rooms you see the castle value for money a 10.

Right in the middle of Lisbon. From the exterior it looks newer but inside has a homey feel. Lock box in room. Bar off the lobby, and a gift corner. Helpful staff.

We come here regularly. The rooms are spacious, the service Attentive.
Over time, renovations and innovations have been carried out, such as the rooftop bar. The view over Lisbon and the atmosphere are Indescribable.

I was there a few years ago. A Hotel of other times… hope to find it again. The staff was very helpful.

Warning 1: if you arrive by car, and your car is larger than average, consider parking at the square instead of hotel parking, since the hotel garage is extremely badly designed. Turns are undoable, you can see it by bad scratches and car paint at the wall corners and metallic tubes (why not put some foam around them as obviously cars get damaged very often here? ). We still managed to get a scratch, while driving super carefully and looking out of the window (we never in driving history had a scratch in a parking garage) Warning 2: if you get a room 101, be aware of noise both in the evening and in the morning as the room faces one of the main streets and on the first floor. For the rest — it is OK hotel, conveniently located and with a very nice roof terrace. Breakfast buffet is average though.

Nice hotel in lissabon. It had a good central location which was nice. The rooms staff and breakfast were okay and I have got nothing to complain on during my stay there.

Quiet, clean and quiet.
We have had room overlooking the castle very spacious and bright.
The mattress is better, the ranch breakfast, the bath light is insufficient to shave etc.
This central and has free parking. The price is reasonable.

Efficient check in and the room was perfect for our stay. Excellent view of the castle from our bedroom window. Helpful and friendly staff. Only issue was we couldn't access the rooftop bar on 1st June as a private event was taking place, unfortunately this was the only night we could make use of the venue. Would definately recommend staying there again.

It's a little noisy, and the equipment is old. 4 stars should be a little bit more advanced. Check in team too long to do things too slow the roof bar is not enough bath liquid shampoo is not good to wash the bath is not practical.

The hotel is at the 4-star level. Central with taxi, tram and metro nearby. Recommended a visit to the Terrace bar on the 9th floor.

Hotel located in the centre of Lisbon, easily reachable from the airport with the Mettropolitana offers all the services of a 4 star, the rooms are clean and tidy although on the wall of the bathrooms there is a bit of mildew. Location central near the terminus of the mythical tram 28. Restaurant on the top floor a bit — pricey, but with a beautiful view over Lisbon. Outdoor terrace with bar.

Hôtel service is ok, but really like the location. They have one of the best happy hours in Lisbon.

Top location, friendly staffs, the room is big enough, the food is good. It's not a fancy hotel but not expensive. There is a panoramic lounge with awesome view of the city where you can also get drinks and snacks.

Location is very central. U can get bus easily outside the hotel. Metro station is nearby. U can go main areas by walk just 10 min. Hotel is ok, what u pay. Not that fancy hotel but not expensive too, beds are small and hard. Breakfast is normal ok. Best of hotel are price and location.

Have State el12 April 2016 good hotel but played the party of soccer benfica and szakay of Munich and them girls of talking not us have allowed a day more because they said that was only for German a penalty could have more discretion it next time ire to another hotel.

Hotel very well located, in the old part near the castle of san Jorge and right next to the tram. Ideal care. Big room with good views, Parking in the same building, that if, rather narrow for parking.

This hotel was a hard choice as there were so many options available. But we did not regret it. The main advantages were the free parking space (which is a really huge advantage for Lisbon), location (a historical center) and restaurants (with a panoramic view). The room is rather small which basically is ok for the old hotel in the big city center considering the other premises to be more than comfortable. The dinner was not that good as we expected especially for the price we paid. Simply speaking the food was not tasty. It was a panoramic restaurant on the top floor. The view was not impressive as well but probably because of the rainy weather. But we were satisfied with the nice choice breakfast served on the second floor where the view was much better. Finally they let us to leave a car for the whole day.

This well but do not like to give 4 stars, it is as for 3. This is clean and fairly simple.

Access to the roof top free even if you're not a customer. Great view of the city. The hotel also offers car rental.

The last two times I've been in Lisbon I have stayed in this wonderful hotel, where you can find all the amenities, cleanliness, space, attention and above all wonderful views. I recommend a visit to their terrace on the top floor. This very well located.

Very pleasant atmosphere, professional and friendly staff. Centrally located, therefore, ideally suited for companies of all items in A Hotel I can only recommend.

Your Terrace "RoofTop" is a good place from which to admire the Skyline of the city while you take a good mojito.

Summing up, it is clean and the location is very good. Otherwise, this 4* Hotel its best times already behind itself. Lamps with loose connection, Hairdryer in the falling apart and the Frühstücksambiente is also more sober. However, for tourists visiting the city is not a bad choice.

Hotel itself is okay. Hotel is updated, however its different in every room. Things don't match. Internet is only free in the lobby and THE BREAKFAST IS HORRIBLE.

We had a fantastic week in Lissabon last year in October. Thank you everyone in Hotel Mundial for your kindness and good service! We went home relaxed and cheerful. And hopefully we will come back for a few days this year.

Everything was super. Can not complain.

Very good location, just right in the centre, but a little bit expensive for a backpacker. I spent here just two nights.
