Lookout Lisbon Hostel Hostel

No shampoo and limited towels/tp, but perhaps I'm just use to hotels. Pretty bare bones, but It met the requirements and the location was great. Large enough to squeeze in 20 to 25 people? Beds were clean.

Upside: I really liked this hostel a lot — one of the best I've stayed at. Eddie, Elaine and Angela are lovely and make the hostel. You get a warm welcome with an iced tea and introduced to the others. There's also free lemonade and ice tea throughout the day. Each evening there is usually a meal or drinks option, sometimes free. There's also a social Fado cafe night. It's a very laid-back, calm hostel with a nice view from the common room. The location is perfect and a few minutes' walk from old town. (For food I recommend Grapes and Bites or Best Kebab! ). Downside: Once 11.30 hits you have to be quiet and you feel a bit watched if you remain up above this time and don't go out. Sharing a bed is frowned upon, even if it's an innocent nap. Also, weirdly, you can't nap or sleep on the common room sofa areas. Most hostels see people purposefully or accidentally fall asleep in the common area — it's very, um, common, but I saw people getting woken up here. Not sure why. There are also three-tier beds which I found a bit dangerous for the person on the top bunk. Not seen this in a hostel before. The breakfast is a bit basic, but it's free!

The staff are the bonus here — Gui and Eddie were exceptionally friendly, more than ready to give advice on where to eat and things to do/see. There are events run every evening in the lounge which unfortunately we weren't able to go to but they seemed a lot of fun and really got everyone in the hostel interacting with each other. The location is really good, with easy access to all the sights in the city as well as the main train station and metro/tram points. They have a quiet policy within the hostel after 11pm — which I appreciated as I am always up and out early.

This hostel was amazing! We arrived on Sangria night and immediately got welcomed by into the main room full of guests sitting, chatting and drinking free Sangria. All the staff were welcoming, especially Eddie. We did the Tapas night and it is credit to how good this hostel is that the table was overflowing with guests eating and drinking and chatting with each other. The place was always kept clean, everyone was respectful of each other and we were really well looked after. Don't stay anywhere else in Lisbon, seriously.

I spent 5 days at this hostel. I was slated to spend 3 days, but it was so amazing that I abandoned my friend’s recommendation and stayed at Lookout Lisbon. The day trips were amazing! The social events were perfect! And the staff is absolutely unparalleled. Eddie Pinho was my favorite, but I’ve never felt a better community or more at home at a hostel! Am happy to expound on this if people have questions, but it is truly the best hostel experience I’ve ever had!

Great location and very friendly staff. Overall, a small hostel with a quirky feel. Kitchen is a bit small and check in is a bit later than ideal but no complaints as they do it to prioritize cleanliness in the hostel.

Bad no, worse. Very very dirty rooms, the shower had the tiles in a regrettable state. The pictures of the rooms are not realesb we stayed 48 hours. Just to find a real hotel in the city the relation quality price does not exist. OK it was very cheap I didn't expect luxuries but if some housekeeping.
I booked for a week, stayed two days, left and lost the money. But I didn't care, for health it was necessary to get out of there. Very little Hygiene.

What can I say about this place other then it's absol-blooming-ly brilliant. Amazing staff. Clean rooms. Located in a fantastic part of the city. Aome nights they even have free sangria. “If you never did you should. These things are fun, and fun is good. ” “You’ll miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut. ” “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory. ” Thanks to Suess for the inspiration.

Poor hygienic conditions throughout the hostel, unapproable baths. Deserted hostel and deserted to himself. I escaped.

Hostel came with — Extra used tooth brush on the closet — Old credit card inside it — 24/7 hairs in the girls washroom — A smelly smell in the kitchen, which you won't forget — two different flipflops/sandals under the bed, for when you lost one yourself — Extra Secure and noise-UN-cancelling doors, for when you want to share your snores with everybody. Sarcasm End: Good location and cheap price for a two bedroom. Would not recomendo for hygieneloving people.

I stayed here ages ago but it remains my favourite hostel. It was amazing. I stayed here a long time ago but it's still my favorite hostel. It was amazing and very cheap.

Rooms weer fine and larve enough. The showers clean but the toilet seat was not attached to the toilet itself. Fine atmosphere.

I've stayed at lookout twice now and it's been great. The staff is friendly and the location is perfect. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon!

Best hostel I've ever been to. Small, which makes it extremely convivial. I recommend for single travelers or really small groups. Everything one could need is available. Daily activities, as well as themed evenings.

Couldn't be more satisfied :) location is great (10 minutes walking from centre), rooms are great, hostel is clean and pleasant, the breakfast is rich! Also, the staff is very helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a youth hostel with good vibes and friendly people — this is it! We will be coming back for sure.

Lovely staff, amazing location, nice bunk beds in dorm, large lockers, lots of activities. Could improve the communal women's shower area, which has no changing room outside the 2 small stalls.

Definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed at. Great location, very hospitable staff, great mingling events, clean, inexpensive, common room with a computer, and secure. I would go back in a heartbeat. It's also very close to the train and close to the airport.

Truly the BEST Best Hostel in Losbon. I changed a few in the same area and none of them was not even near good as this one. Starting from the staff who was very pleasant, helpful, frendly and resourceful. Everything was so clean and neat and the location of the hostel was just perfect! ps. Thank u sun deep.

Although I will not be stayed, I visited this hostel because I caught my attention your decor. It is an old building converted into a hostel and it retains some of its original features. I took advantage of the breakfast buffet and the truth that was brilliant, natural, rich and varied.

The hosts and the hostel were really really great and warmhearted! It was for good the best hostel to stay in Lisbon! I highly recommend it! The area is really alive and you have access of all Lisbon because it's central. You also have the best view of Lisbon! You met good people here and bars are just down the hostel and they will show you the best places for drink and eat cheaper. You can also eat in the hostel there are a perfect kitchen for that, the bed are so cosy! In brief, you will have a great time here in this hostel! Enjoy!

It's a good place for young travelers. The room is beyond imagination.

Feels like the place has a potential. When I've been there was not very occupied but still got to meet some peeps. Very basic amenities, decent breakfast.

I also really enjoyed staying at the hostel the staff is really very helpful.

We slept there a few months after opening and it was all great — cheap, clean, new, breakfast, Wi-Fi, very kind people. For sure will go back there if I visit Lisboa again :-).

Very young helpful nice and welcoming owners. Always ready to give support and advices. They offer tours in and outside Lisboa, some of them are free. They offer culture events information and they know their city. Breakfast is included in the price. Very clean place. Very well located in the bar neighbourhood of Bario Alto. Bikes for rent, big kitchen and some collective cooking sessions. Staff is doing its maximum for you to have a nice stay and keep a respectful atmoshpere so everyone feels home and can relax. If you are sensitive about noise — bring your earplugs since bars are crowded at night — but this is not in control of hostel people who are really lovely and sweet.

Excellent location and very friendly staff.

It is a hostel with a park in front, but before the park there is a busy street in the passing people, cars, trucks, trams,. All night. As there is only a fan in the back xq as do festivities there are q to close the windows, in the front part there are q habrír the window and hear the noise from street as if you were sleeping in the middle of the road. In the bathrooms there are q to enter from the side of how small they are and the bunk beds are made for climbers of the race. I came with the car, not to commit this error, center zone impossible to park, there is parking but my van x example does not fit. Becomes a torture d tossing and turning xa put the car on a street in the hour costs 1.20€, maximum 4 hours.
