Review of Corinthia Lisbon 5*

I have edited this review in light of changes. I have left the original post below I spoke with the GM about my stay based on this post. He was a very nice fellow and was more then willing to help. We discussed the difference of travelers now a days and how most people would get more use out of the TVs as a larger monitor or to hook in personal devices as many people travel with laptops and tablets with there own media. He took my criticism, informed me of his intended changes to this hotel. He then sent some one to unlock my TV as a temp solution. As such I have changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars. I'm sure with the updates I could put it to a 4 but I will not be here to see them. Welcome to the worst hotel I have visited in a long time. Here is how my day starts: First check in and go up to my room, wonder what that smell is and come back out to see people smoking in the hallway. I am a none smoker and was not asked if I minded a smoking floor. Second the TVs are set up using proprietary software to insure you have to use there hotel entertainment. If you travel with an HDMI Cable and any accessories for your down time, this is not the hotel for you. Third when I asked if there was any possibility of using a TV that does not have the software as I prefer to watch my own movies and play games they told me "That is not possible sir as it will ruin the internet for the entire hotel unplugging your TV" I would like to inform the management that the TV is unplugged right now and I am still on your internet. I will never be staying at this hotel or any affiliated with it again.
