I paid $57/night for three nights via Priceline. Credit cards accepted. Astoundingly good value for money. Big, spacious room. Minifridge. A/c. Wifi. Perfect view of the monastery from room window.

The hotel is old but very clean, with a super nice view directly looking at the whole of the monastery, the square, and the most popular street of the town. The service is excellent.

We loved the place, the staff and the cleanliness of the place. The gym is amazing and the pool is great for young and old. We hope to be able to return one day.

I visited the hotel on a trip with my 2 sisters. We had lovely rooms and enjoyed our stay. The staff was particularly helpful and friendly.

Amazing location! All the places are within walking distance. Nice clean rooms, tons of restaurants in surrounding. Even if you come by public transport, the buss station is right near the hotel.

Nature Charm is a beautiful hotel on a hill with a great view of the sea. The place is very clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the whole hotel feels peaceful.

Located an easy 15-20 minute walk from the bus station through the historic centre, this is a very old building that has been in the family for at least three generations.

Overall a decent place. We never looked hard enough at the website to see that we had 53 stairs to our accommodation. They helped with our luggage but old knees were not happy.

Gem of a place! Fantastic for a recharging break. Great for couples or families. Close enough to nearby towns for sightseeing and shopping, but far enough away to enjoy nature and the quiet.

The room itself was very clean and nice, but there was no staff at the front desk, so I had to wait about an hour to check in. I also tried calling to extend my stay, but the phone line was broken.

The apartment is in a good location to get into the centre of Funchal with the bus stop just a few yards from the apartment building.

The position of the property is amazing and from the pool above, one can see whole Funchal and it has a really amazing view. The person who gave us the keys was named "Edgar".

Had a lovely week at Papagaio Verde recently. Spring sunshine away from the UK. Really liked that it’s not in central Funchal.

Perfect! Beautiful garden filled with flowers and fruits! And very nice rooms, especially the ones next to the pool with ocean view. Madeira at its best, Funchal is really close-by.

The rooms and staff are perfect. Attention to the customer, with umbrella and robes for all the users for free!

Very easy and convenient check-in — the keys were in a safe at the entrance to the door and it was just by the code sent by the property manager!

Everything went very well. The room was perfectly clean and very comfortable.

Had a brilliant experience staying at Storytellers palace for 2 nights. The hotel is stunning, completely unique and you feel at home when staying there as it doesn’t have many rooms.

Friendly staff, excellent location short walking distance to most sights… Restaurant downstairs have great food and services also.

We stayed four nights at By the Sea at the beginning of March hoping to see some Giant waves on our wedding anniversary which we did!

Very close to the beach and the elevator to see the forte do Saó Miguel. AC in the small apartment.
