Great location. Staff here r excellent nothing is too much trouble. 1st visit here will definitely return.

Lovely hotel in a prime location, catering staff excellent and friendly. Check in staff on reception not the best, queues at reception long and moved slowly. There's no communication with each other, so one member of staff say one thing and the other tells you another thing. When asking about information regarding our tour operator which should be at reception, (when they will be in to book trips etc), reception had no clue, as their information is at the other end of the hotel in a room. (we found this out from our tour operator who we met by chance). Top tip get your towels out early as everyone else does and you'll be lucky to find a sunlouger after 11:30! Room kept lovely and clean throughout our stay, housekeeping were fantastic and efficient.

The hotel is being renewed. It was fantastic, now is wonderful! The front, west exterior side, is very nice. No more shops but a Beautiful restaurant and a brand new Cafe. The recent Pizza restaurant Massa Fina is a must.

Very good hotel. Rooms big and comfortable with Wi-Fi and a/c. Beds quite small. Room Cleanness good. Breakfast good with a lot of choices. Avoid peak hours to have your breakfast calmly. Waiters are friendly. Pool is good option if you have children. Beach in front of the hotel is nice option too.

Highly recommend staying here. A great hotel just a stone's throw from Vilamoura marina Large pool area with plenty of sun loungers, a bar serving a good choice of refreshments and snacks. Comfortable room with a generously sized bed. Great breakfast lots of choice and all fresh ingredients.

This hotel is ideally located for the beach and the marina too! The rooms and restaurants are very clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly too.

Really good cross section of residents and golf friendly with a cracking breakfast and super friendly staff. Clean tidy. Value value value.

This hotel is superb. See the balcony view. Ideal location. Beans at breakfast are terrible but the accommodation and staff were first class.

Had a fantastic few days in the Vila Gale can't recommend it highly enough. Rooms were lovely, place was spotless and a great Buffett breakfast. Hope to be back some day! Well worth a visit.

Very nice in general lost the 4th star as breakfast was disappointing just trying to get a coffee out of the useless self service machines took an age. Need staff to be on there game for a buffet breakfast to many things left empty. Pool and surrounding area are great to unwind until the loud music starts from a pool party venue over the road.

Very nice hotel in a good location. Right beside the sea front and 2 minutes from the marina. The only negative point for us was a slow check in and check out.

Lovely friendly hotel family friendly. We had a hiccup on arrival but was all sorted and had a lovely holiday. Recommend not booking a standard room go for a suite!

Drank a drink in the hotel bar, service not excellent, ambience from holiday makers and escapes.

Good value for money. We weren't sure it was going to a good choice due to the price being low. So we only booked one night. But we stayed for the whole trip. Room had an unusual feature, a kitchen. Small but more than ample. Balcony had good views too. The indoor pool and water fountains were brilliant. Sauna and steam rooms nice and clean. Only had buffet breakfast here but they were all very good and prosecco for a Buck's Fizz was a nice addition to the extensive choice. The cappuccino was superb considering it was from a self service machine. Staff all friendly. Place is a little tired in places but overall excellent value and location. We hired bikes and they came to the hotel with them and had a good day out on them.

Absolutely amazing location! Can't believe it isn't 5****, was an amazing pleasure to meet Porffirio Perdigao (Director) who made us feel very welcome, even paying for our drinks! Also met a lovely gentleman Gulumo who sets up a little store selling unique hand crafted gifts, he was a great asset to the hotel! I will definitely be returning there very soon!

I spent Christmas at the Ampalius Hotel, the room I had was very clean with a huge balcony with a sea view. The food was very good and the staff were absolutely brilliant particularly as I was spending the week on my own. I will certainly go back to the this hotel in future.

We had room 932, nice view. Hotel was nice overall. Breakfast had a good variety to choose from.

Amazing best hotel ever. The size of the rooms and the cleanliness of them are extraordinary. I will definitely go back again. However I have no idea why it is a 4* it should be a 5

Great place to stay for golf close to pubs and cafe's place is buzzing with golfers enjoy.

Very central breakfast poor but catering for large number from a chefs point of view difficult will go back.

Decent hotel but not great. Clean rooms, acceptable bar, good for a guys' golf trip. Cheap.
