Rooms have extra beds, Like mini suites. No need to book multiple rooms. Doable to double up. Great restaurant with great views! I will be coming back for sure!

Abysmal service in the rooftop restaurant. Spoiled what otherwise would have been a memorable evening for the right reasons but is now memorable for wrong ones.

Very comfy beds, nice and clean and a 2 min walk to the beach. Bus stop rigjt outside hotel if you want to see the old part of the city or a 20 min walk along the foreshore gets you there as well.

Lovely hotel. We booked the suite overlooking the beach and ocean and were not disappointed. We were alongside the restaurant/ breakfast room but there was no noise and the food was excellent.

Staff extremely unhelpful and refuse to assist even on simple requests for a towel to the beach there are better hotels to stay at in Lagos would definitely suggest staying away from Carvi beach hotel.

Very well located but quality of services to review. Good quality restaurant with a magnificent view but do not have to be in a hurry, 45 minutes waiting for the dish. The hot water in the bathroom takes a long time to arrive. The umbrellas and sunbeds in the pool should be changed.

Very good location, right on the beach and about a 15 minute walk from 3 — 4 other beaches. Also 10 minutes away from some of the best restaurants I visited in Portugal. Staff was extremely friendly and nice, took the time to explain and recommend activities. Rooftop restaurant and bar, which includes a pretty good breakfast buffet free of charge. Room were also very clean and modern, and the A/C is actually functional unlike in many other hotels we visited in the region. Definitely recommend.

Amazing experience when I stayed here in June. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and answered all my questions I had about the area. Right next to the beach and walking distance to just about any restaurant or bar in the area. Me and my girlfriend will definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to have a awesome time without breaking the wallet.

If I could give this joke of a hotel less stars than one I would. My friend and I paid a ridiculous amount of money to stay in the worst room in the entire building. The Wi-Fi didn't even reach our room and when we asked the front desk about it the woman working replied with 'well you didn't pay for it. ' As someone from out of the country we were relying on it as means to find our way around town and it's INCLUDED in the price. It says so all over the website and foyer. We would have stayed somewhere that had it had we known our room didn't receive it. The woman working was quite snarky and laughed when we had to ask about it multiple times. There were ants all over our floor and when we asked for more towels (we were given one) the person working front desk told us 'to come get it if we wanted more' :/ not worth the money AT ALL. Also there's no lifeguard working the pool so if your planning on bringing your kids I wouldn't let them up there alone.

The location of this hotel near Praia Dona Ana is the only nice feature. The hotel staff never replied to my inquiry regarding parking a couple days before my arrival. Carvi Beach Hotel does not provide towels for the beach and tries to restrict your use of the bath towels, which can be a problem for a tourist like me. Our shower drain was somehow completely clogged, and the receptionist at first expected me to simply go without showering despite my long day of traveling and laying on the beach. They couldn’t get someone to clear the drain until the following day. Bathrooms weren’t clean. The food and service at the hotel were abominable. Wi-Fi spotty at best. Not coming back.

Comfortable beds, simple basic rooms with little or no amenities. Breakfast is basically cake and fruit, no soy milk, coffee is terrible.

A great location next to a lovely beach and about 15 minutes walk from Lagos city centre. The rooms are comfortable and are cleaned daily. Decent breakfast is included and the restaurant on the 4th floor is good but could have more vegetarian options. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable!

Nice room& view, amazing bed and fantastic location. One of the best beaches in the area, and caves are fun to explore during low tide. Staff was friendly but unhelpful when it came to recommendations, especially regarding other restaurants. The rooftop restaurant in the hotel was average. + Staff&view, — food&interiors Room was clean upon arrival, however day-to-day cleaning was minimal during our 4 day stay. There is a much shorter path to the city of you walk by the cliffs/nearby hotels cutting time by almost half. Would rate 3, 5 if Google allowed for it.

Friendly staff, decent restaurant. We booked a suite with a view, so it was very nice. The bed is awesome, one of the most comfortable bed I have slept in. But the duvet can be improved. Cleaning is a bit lagged behind, especially the table and floors. They didn't clean it so there are sands on the floor. Otherwise it is clean and fresh.

The room was ready to arrive at 11am the room was renovated recently and although small is pleasant the bed is extremely comfortable the self-service breakfast is adequate for the price and the buffet is replenished until the end of the service. Much nicer from 10h Rooftop superb for breakfast with an amazing view the rooms 1 to 6 are under the Rooftop so watch out for the noise of the evening shows if you are on the 3rd. The rooms with large terraces — but exposed to the view of the upper floors are also on this side but on the 2nd floor The other numbers are under the swimming pool superb weather at Easter despite the forecast hyperpessismistes of the weather it is possible to Empru Nter the customs officer along the cliff towards Ponte de Pieda from the restaurant O Camillo. Beautiful bathroom walk A little cheap, renovated certainly a few years ago probably no refrigerator in the rooms The 306 has a very small balcony no shelf storage, only those on and under the wardrobe.

Very close to beach. Staff was nice. Local bus to Lagos town nearby. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel friendly and attentive staff (we had to find a doctor in an emergency before we even put down our luggage and they immediately helped us). Superb pool but especially delicious restaurant even half board and restaurant staff very competent and nice. The very negative point is the building disused for several years and squatted that adjoins the hotel. This is where we see that the country is not up to the task of ensuring quality tourism.

Great place with a very nice beach just meters away. Loved that it's not in the middle of the touristic center. It's an easy short walk there if you're after that. It was an off-season stay so quiet and relaxing. Very clean and comfortable. Really friendly staff.

Do not stay here! The hotel is in a sketchy part of town. Abandoned buildings, hotels and cracked out homeless people staggering the streets. Rooms look nothing like pictures, mould on bathroom ceiling. Staff are not friendly. We expressed our desire to cut out stay short and the hotel refused to reimburse the money back for our second night. We left anyway.

Structure located close to one of the most beautiful beaches of Lagos, the rooms on the fourth floor where we were staying a little small the bathroom also, noisy doors i. E. When other guests closed the door of their room you could hear enough in the room, breakfast at Rooftop buffet with ocean view the strong point to start at the best the day the prices in standard respect the services offered.

Well what can I say about the Carvi that I haven't said before. This truly beats the heart of Lagos. This is our second visit and after such a memorable first time we just had to come back. Whilst this lives up to its three star status, it's the staff that make it a five. Rooms are great, clean, spacious and get cleaned daily. The shower works a treat and I would advise a sea view room with a balcony. Beautiful views. But enough of all that. Let's talk about why Carvi is the… amazing place that it is. Having only been once before, nearly every member of staff remembered me and my wife. All of a sudden you feel like part of the family. They don't want to do anything but please you — and they do in abundance. It's what they do best. I've never known a staff in a hotel as good as Carvi (and I've stayed in lots of hotels) but nobody comes close to here. The warmth, the love. These guys work hard daily but always have a smile on their face. Whether they are preparing your meal or pouring your drink, it's just a pleasure to be around these guys and I think the feeling is mutual. We were asked to come back to enjoy new year's eve and we're seriously considering it. I have to single out a couple of people. Jackson. Now he is at the heart of everything I love about Carvi. Service with a smile, a truly nice guy, lovely character and will make you feel more than just a guest. You'll see a lot of Jackson as he is there day and night.

Good location Friendly and competent staff. Large room, clean, cosy bed. Breakfast and if you go to the restaurant of the hotel price nice, hearty dishes and good quality. Book in advance to get the best price.

We stayed here last November and we really liked it. We are here for 2 night's now and requested a high floor near to lift. We got neither and the room is not so comfortable as we had before bed and pillows not that comfortable. Breakfast ok but had to complain about dinner, steak inedible but offered alternative meal which was fine. We were generally a bit disappointed this time, shame. Thank you.

Rooms are basic, bed, bathroom and wardrobe, very clean and well maintained. Excellent location next to the beach. Reception staff very helpful if needing directions or general I do of area. Restaurant is slightly more expensive than the local restaurants but the food is excellent and the service is very attentive. Bar is open until 1am again slightly higher prices but the mixologist behind bar knows his stuff. Nothing is too much. Rooms are 3* but food and staff service 4*+

Very qood quality of all the services. Stuff is very well bahaved and always wanting to be helpful to you. Hotel has one of the best location in Lagos, very close to the most beautifu beaches: Dona Ana and Camillo. Food was also good and in evenings you can try the restaurant on top terace. Prices are good, and you don't have to face any crowd as you surely do at most restaurants in old town (i'm reffering strictly to the summer season)

Clean room. Excellent bedding. Super cool home. Excellent view of the restaurant where you eat well. The service team is nice. The beach is a few yards away. Really a great idea. We strongly recommend.

Staff were excellent — good fun at the bar. Room was big and clean. Stone's throw from the beach and sbout 15 minutes (max) walk to the town.

Fantastic Hotel, I just love it! Having a great time, still here until tomorrow and getting quite sad The hotel is a great place very comfortable the rooms are very nice though. There was a swimming pool on the roof which looked great but never had anytime to relax, too much to do. The staff at Carvi are just wonderful… so helpful and pleasant. Special shout out goes to Sylvia at reception she is absolutely the best & Suanmy in the kitchen everyone just has so much time for you. We met some great people throughout our visit and had so much fun. Portugal is beautiful, friendly I just love it & will hopefully be making this a place to visit every year. Will definitely be back next year!

Lovely staff, amazing views, good breakfast selection. Nice room with a beautiful view of the sea from the balcony. Beach is practically on their doorstep and it's such a nice beach but there are many to choose from within a walkable distance. The pool is freezing and we are still trying to pluck up the courage to take a dip. Walkable to the center of town but beware the hill on the way back, very long steep bank which has caused me and my partner some sore calves! All worth it though. Would come back no question.

Clean rooms & linens. Central location. All you can eat breakfast (all the fixings) included. Excellent dinner at the Rooftop patio (best sea bass ever for $14 EU). Met the owner who is from New York and he was friendly and involved. I recommend this hotel!

Can't beat the location. It's walking distance to two different beaches and a lighthouse look out with gorgeous views, beautiful water. Our room had a terrace that overlooked the ocean. It could use a little more soundproofing but for three star this is wonderful value. The best breakfast buffet ever Great service wonderful people. Thanks for the memories.

Completely satisfied. Perfect location for the beach in 1 minute. Rooms very clean and Nice staff. In 10 to 15 minute walk in the city. Breakfast is good in my opinion. Perfect for exploring the surrounding area. I can only recommend hotel.
The swimming pool on the roof is also quite nice. The rooms have a comfortable size.

Clean and neat. Staff very friendly and helpful. 2 problems however: rooms on the 4th floor (in the pool) along well especially at night the engine of water filtration. Then breakfast at 8, it's a little late to go then do an excursion or other tour of the country. 7: 00 would be better.

Room normalilla, very clean, with comfortable mattresses and pillows. Impressive terrace overlooking the ocean, swimming pool with views to the exterior spaces of relaxation throughout the hotel and very well preserved. Room very young normal breakfast. At the foot of majestic beaches. Quality great price, is a * with Visual and spatial qualities of luxury, but good price and without assumptions or wanting to appear. This hotel in Spain, would be much more expensive, but of lower quality without doubt. I hope q not reaches the massive exploitation to this paradise and end up with all these features at a good price, lower quality and rising rates. I repeat in a few weeks and more secure times. 10 staff (we left 2 hours most evenings or most of the hotel, asking q If it was necessary to charge us that day, and we were not charged and also very kind, after only one night! ) Top! )

Fine small hotel with direct access to the sea. Everything clean and well kept. Breakfast is good for southern European conditions, there are sausages, cheese, butter and different types of bread. Jam and fresh fruit such as melons and oranges there too. The front desk was staffed with two girls who could help us in all matters (towards the city, taxi, etc. ). All in best English!

Service including check-in, check-out and getting meals and drinks was generally quick, easy and fuss free. The public areas of the hotel are all pleasant enough; there's plenty of nice seating areas near reception, the restaurant was bright, tidy and well stocked for breakfast and the rooftop pool, terrace and bar were a nice bonus for a hotel near a beach if you just wanted a quick dip. The room was compact but adequate and looked modern and clean. There wasn't acres of storage (nowhere really to put cases and only a small wardrobe) but that was offset by the massive comfy bed. We only had a park view which previously had been criticised for actually being a view of a wall and essentially this is true but the wall features a terraced citrus tree garden and you can see the sea if you look right. We never really made much use of the balcony except for drying swimming gear. In fact many of the criticisms in older internet reviews look to have been addressed; breakfast was pretty good, Wi-Fi generally worked ok everywhere, the place looks to have had a lick of paint and the cleaners were always on the ball and unobtrusively kept everything in check. The main thing about Hotel Carvi is the location; atop Praia Donna Ana beach and yet only a 15 minute walk from town. The locals are understandably proud of the beach — it's stunning with rugged cliffs towering above (slightly coarse and spikey) sand and clear blue water which can be a bit cold.

3 star hotel with good value for money!
Parking is something just because it has front but in hours of beach it is almost impossible to park.

The best for me is the swimming pool, with views to the D. Ana Beach, and bar to eat something while in the pool!
And Wi-Fi in throughout the hotel, including the rooms.

The bathrooms are not consistent with the room. But correct. Difficult parking if it is time d beach. Not bad. Very good value for money.

We spent a few nights there in August 2011. The building was like a block of flats from an estate and the room was very basic. Cost us about €100 per night which makes this place well overpciced for the Spanish standard I'm used to. There was no internet connection for days. At some point during our stay they managed to sort out a Wi-Fi that could only be accessed from the lobby! Two positive aspects I'd like to highlight: it is not too far from the city centre and the sea and the breakfast (although fairly basic) was on the roof which had a fantastic view on the sea.
