A place for one night. The rooms were so cold that even with 3 blankets I was freezing all night. Very noisy, you can hear every single thing in the whole building as it echoes through. Local people listen to loud music in their room which you can also hear fully in yours. People pushing furnitures at 1am. I messaged the owner directly and he tried to charge 50 soles (more than on Booking) for a night then when I said no suddenly it was 40. Upon arrival the receptionist who didn’t know the price agreement with the owner told me the prices are 40 with breakfast and 35 without. Very bad trying to overcharge tourists! I only booked here because it’s the only place walking distance to the terminal otherwise because of this would have been a big no. I also found it weird that he was sending me messages asking if all was good before 6am before taking my bus from Cusco. And then 2 hours later when I arrived same question again and that there is free hot water available which the receptionist already told me. Second message maybe acceptable but the first…No need. There were also blood stains on the bed cover! No toilet seat. I gave 3 stars because the hot water and pressure of the shower was great, receptionist girl very kind!
Very nice and quiet hotel with decently prized private rooms. Had contact up-front and was offered an early check-in as my night bus arrived at 5am.
I lost my hiking boots on my way there and the staff helped me trace them back through their known minivan contacts as I couldn't get proper support from the bus company. Had a nice chat with great recommendations for Puno and will definitely recommend staying here.
