1900 Hostel Hostel

The location is perfect, the place is nice, the guys at the reception are super friendly.

I do not recommend this place, one of the worst experiences, book by booking. I bought a double room, and the beds were horrible and they even gave me a room with a cabin when I never asked for it, and on top of that I had no television, no table, it was horrible… and when I said that I did not want and it is more or I have nothing left, they did not want to return the money, they told me that they would keep 50%… From my reserve. And this 120 soles. You can imagine, I do not recommend…!

I couldn't recommend a place more that this one. A bunch of travelers and I were stuck in Lima went the country closed its borders and the airport and they were so gracious and accommodating in allowing us to stay beyond out check-out date. The property had everything we needed to wait out the quarantine: good Wi-Fi, rooftop space, kitchen area, plentiful bathrooms and plenty of space to spread out and not feel so stir crazy. The staff went above and beyond in helping us out, updating us as news came in, cooking, and just being supportive friends. This hostel is the definition of hospitality and I, along with the rest of us who were there are indebted to their generosity.

Having spent 4 weeks as guests in quarantine I cannot recommend 1900 highly enough. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to help, even after the hostel had officially closed. If, in Peru this is the place to stay. Forever a place in our hearts.

Very good attention from the staff, beautiful place to rest, hallways are full of beautiful ferns and tiles colonial, I loved the mattress and the duvet, just you recuestas and then you sleep delicious, the breakfast very rich fruit juice, egg, cereal, pound cake etc, without thinking about it, would not book in this place.

Staff was very helpful, Sergio in particular was friendly and advised us during our trip. The building has a nice architecture and the vibes is easy going. Located in downtown Peru, the town noise is bothersome.

Great place to stay in Lima. Rooms ans bathrooms are very clean. The building is amazing and is a sight on its own. The cafe area is great and you can meet awesome fellow travellers. We found the location also very convenient to visit Lima's old town.

Cool place the building is very nice. But the showers were cold within 2 minutes the Wi-Fi was average at best they have no tips on the pool que, that's not a hard thing to provide! They played terrible Latin music in a hostel full of gringos. You cant take outside alcohol in was the biggest killer. There sign says we provide beer at a reasonable price. $10 is not a reasonable price when I can pay $4.70 at a supermarket. I got no breakfast my first morning, got there with an hour still to go and they had ran out of bread. One of the workers went to get more but the shop was out, so they didn't offer me anything else. Not sure I'd recommend I'm sure there is better.

Beautiful old building with a lot of character. The amount of noise coming into the big room at the front from the street is just insane. Welcome to Peru I guess. I mean, impatient jackasses are honking away and it is midnight on a Wednesday here. Not good for sleeping.

I enjoyed my time at the hostel, other than the fact that they were painting, and the fumes were really strong. The location is great with the museums and parks across the street. The kitchen was pretty small for a place that size. Lima wasn't my favorite place in Peru, but the hostel itself is fine.

Arrived at 1am and the man in the desk made me feel welcome at that time even though Im sure he wanted to sleep. Amazing place and brilliant atmosphere. Definitely would recommend.

Excellent experience. All areas are clean. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Beds are comfortable and clean. Fun classes and tours. Rooftop area has two friendly cats. Met amazing people here. Would recommend to anyone.

Staff were very friendly & helpful, nothing was too much to assist. The rooms were clean with very comfortable beds. The hot water was amazing. Breakfast was basic & option to purchase additional items at reasonable prices. I took part in the walking tour which was good just longer than expected. Would definitely stay here again when I'm back in Lima.

What a nice place in Lima, the location is so cool and the hostel it self must be the most beautiful hostel i've seen for sure and I seen few… clean and confortable. Tha staff know what to do… and this is priceless…

This place was so great. It's a little sanctuary in the madness of central Lima. Beautiful old building, friendly staff, daily activities. Both shared and private rooms looked nice. Guac for breakfast was delicious. Don't miss the rooftop, and if you have 1-2 hours to spare, visit the museum across the street as it was very nice.

Beautiful mansion refurbished into a hostal across a beautiful park and the Museum of Art. A bit of a hectic neighbourhood. The hostal was great, organized, clean and service was professional. Beds and duvet were super comfy and they also have free walking tours, cooking classes and rooftop live music!

Decent attention, picturesque facilities and chance to meet varied and interesting people.

I really liked this hostel. It's built in a big old house which, so that was pretty cool. Wish I got to spend more time here but we were only stopping in for the night. Private rooms were decent, showers good, breakfast average like most hostels. Best Wi-Fi I've seen all trip.

Very good Hostel, very good location, very friendly receptionists, good breakfast, has free entertainment, a place where you can have everything, and the price accessible in shared rooms, but the honking of transit pitifully not what They make an excellent place, but very good. Recommended equal.

This is my third time at this hostel and let say I was very disappointed. Front desk guy was rude and busy. He try charge me 29 sole per night more because I stayed in Peru more than 60 days. It should be 20% more not 100% mark up. After 20 hour of bus. Staff show no smile. No helping. Not interested to talk to me. If you don't like your job. Get a new one. Nothing compare with the staff I had last two time I was here. Won't show up again.

A big hostel, but well organized with a free walking tour and cooking classes… but not on Sunday, only day we were there. Other big black dots the Wi-Fi that rarely works… just like hot water…

An affordable price with comfortable beds in dormitory rooms. They allow to store the bags on departure and the entrance is 24 hours. The reception is very friendly and has various activities to do in El hostel l in the city together with a travel agency to make contract paid tours in Peru. Close to the center and the main squares.

Well located, guided walking tour offered in French, Spanish, English ect.
Friendly staff and very clean room.
We were supposed to stay 1 day but stayed 2 days and will come back before we leave.

A place where there is always a space for the one who travels permanently! Really nice, although we Peruvians have to pay a little more.
I was recommended by Ana de Conda, an English traveler who is difficult to get tired on the way, who can or will not have a travel route and knows how to cope all the time for difficult. 1900 has that spirit!

Wonderful and friendly staff! They make it feel like a 2nd home very quickly. I recommend staying at least a few days and to sign up for some of the activities they provide. I wanted to stay longer and hope to return. Cool building with a great common area that invites you to befriend fellow travelers. Also has a great location close to the heart of Lima and felt very safe.

Beautiful premises, but not very cozy.

Personally it was my favorite hostel in Lima. The building was very classy with enough space. The staffs here are super friendly. Only downfall is very limited options of breakfast. If you look for locating outside of Miraflores, this will be great one for you.

The hostel is amazingly beautiful and has a unique atmosphere, quite different from the regular travelers hostels. The building has its own story and if you have the chance to meet the owner, who is there every once in a while, you can hear how its story connects with the history of Lima and Peru. Don't miss to check the bohemian aristocracy of the roof-top terrace. Except my confirmation on cleanliness, comfort, hot water, nice bar and great location, I would like to thank personally to the manager and the crew, who were really helpful in several tricky situations, in which me and my friend needed help arranging some administrative issues.

Amazing hostel. Pros: The cooking lessons are well worth it. Really friendly receptiom staff, helped us out a lot when one of us got food posioning. Provided extra blankets for when it was cold. Excellent Wi-Fi connection even in the rooms. Dinner in the evening is nice too. Plus the showers are warm. We added two nights onto our booking and the receptiom guy moved all the bookings around so we could stay in the same room. Excellent service. Cons: The tour wasn't the best, but it's free and it's a good way to meet others from the hostel. The tour operator in the hostel is way more expensive than anything you can book yourself. Worth booking something there for convenience but you'll pay way more for it.

Comfortable beds and every day have a different activity… I loved the free walking tour around the city "every day at 1 pm.

Hostel well placed for Lima, in the center with a "free walking Tour" genial and full of other activities offered. The staff is friendly is available. Small flat for insulation. Breakfast is simple.

Nice staff, good location, the daily walking tour they offer is cool and the food they serve is tasty. It's relatively cold, not always hot showers and the mattresses are rly old and should definitely be changed.

Lovely historical features, friendly staff and a beautiful private room. Hot water could be more constant and breakfast is rubbish.

The hotel is located very close to the historical centre of Lima, in walkable distance. Our room was just what we needed, for the price we paid. The staff was very helpful and cheerful! The breakfast was quite poor, only some pieces of bread with butter and 1 type of jam, coffee and tea. The showers had hot water in the mornings but at night there wasn't always hot water. The hostel staff organizes many activities, several of them being for free, like the 3.5h walking tour at the historical centre, which we really enjoyed!. Other activities we're cooking lessons, dance lessons, foosball challenges, etc. Overall I would say that it's a great place for backpackers to get to know the city of Lima and meet other fellow travelers!

Great service, low prices, secure, super daily programs. This old building is functional and cool and has a kind of a rough petina. We loved the free ceviche "cooking" program with the hostel cook — — we went to the market to buy the ingredients and prepared and enjoyed a great lunch.

I was supposed to stay 2 nights. It became 10… it's in the historic center of Lima, so not in the middle of Miraflores's night life but their bar is more than decent with definitely better prices =). Somehow it always has beautiful people that connect very well. I was there twice and always felt the same. The architecture of it is also amazing, especially from the roof top =)

Fair price, great atmosphere and super friendly staff. If your all about parting something in Miraflores might be more convenient.

Typical Partyhostel. If you the 14' he takes dorm, then it is never quiet. Indoor noise from the bar with drunken teenagers outside tyre/road noise from the street. So for those who like quiet is definitely wrong and will be better in the many local Hostals in the district and is probably cheaper.

Really fun relaxed place, great staff. They have a bar with good happy hour deals. Its a bit of a walk to find food or nearby attractions from here but it's worth it.

Very good Hostel, excellent price, service and environment, the area not is the best of lima but if like visit of day the Center story is a good place, economic, clean and safe where stay is. The area of Miraflores is best for night out.

It is a good place to stay in downtown Lima. It is close to many important sites and points of approach of public transport companies.
The prices are affordable and you have good attention.

Located on what seemed to be the busiest intersection in Lima, but very close to the historic district. Our private room was large and fairly quiet. Wifi did not work in the room, and only OK in the common areas depending on how many people were there. Fantastic free walking tour, and great hostel vibe with happy hour, fun area to play pool or hang out. Close to the transit stop to get to Miraflores and Barranco neighborhoods, which are the best.

Don't come to this Roach hostel it sucks they have a lot cockroaches in the kitchen I do not recommend this spot.

Had a great time at this hostel, large rooms, good sized lockers, Internet can be slow. The showers were hot and powerful and bar area is fun. Basic breakfast. Staff are very friendly and very helpful.

A hostel that says they have hot water 24 hours but then shuts off the water 1 a. M. And then lies about why deserves 1 star. Besides that the room was quite dirty and noisy.

The staff was ok, helpful. Interesting building, but not a very beautiful, chilled place.

A hostel with potential but misses the mark. Did not have the right size sheets for the bed, unusable internet, poorly made drinks at the bar. If you can get over these things it may be okay but you need to be aware of the insane street noise in peru. Drivers are very horn happy and you may be better staying in Mira Florias if you want a good night sleep.
