Moicca Hostel

Very nice hostel with kind and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast is nice bonus. Facilities were clean, beds comfortable and common areas cozy. Location is a bit further from the center, but easily accessible with 15 minutes walk or short tuctuc ride.

Great hostel! They are super nice and make sure you have an awesome experience. Also the breakfast is really good and the dorms are cozy.

The receptionists were very helpful about where to go and when the fan in my room stopped working. Nice terrace, would recommend.

Went to the hostel by myself. While the first few nights were really good and I truly met some amazing people. I felt the manager let me down. Kicking me out randomly without warning or precaution after I got back from the jungle.
I brought a lady back the 1st night and this was against hostel rules. I apologized for this and we moved on. I stayed a few more nights and respected the place. Promised I'd never do it again. However about a week later after I came back from the jungle. I was told I wasn't welcome back. This came totally unexpected and I had to change all my plans. I wasn't given a reason and to be honest I thought it was completely unprofessional and pathetic behavior. Had a far better experience at the flying dog hostel with better services. I'd recommend that hostel over this one in a heartbeat. Just due to the mature management.

Great hostel! Staff is really helpful, they have all the amenities you can ask for as a backpacker, a nice rooftop and just in general a great atmosphere.

Really nice and clean hostel. I bounced in and out of here during my adventures in Iquitos. It has an awesome balcony with hammock's and comfy chairs. The free breakfast and towel is a nice perk. Also 24 hour reception here! Good atmosphere for meeting people.

When you are travelling solo, the hostel you stay at can really make or break your time. This hostel was really nice though. It felt like a home. The staff and other guests were really friendly and welcoming during my stay, and even though people come and go, it felt like we were a big family.
Fabio is one of the nicest hosts I have ever met. He was able to hold a conversation and showed genuine interest in my life and travels. I was feeling a bit homesick, but after a long chat in the lobby, I felt better. If you stay for long enough, Luna, the hostel cat will eventually warm up to you ;)
In terms of the location, the hostel is located in a quiet street not too far from town. I walked into town a few times, and even to the Belen market (~2km away). The rooms were cleaned daily too.

Moicca has been my favourite hostel of my travels so far (3 months in), let me tell you why: 1) Favio and his family are incredibly kind and accomodating. 2) the place is impeccably clean with very comfortable beds 3) the breakfast is free and very tasty, there is also a big kitchen and lots of space for your food. 4) the price is great 5) there are many social areas to chill, hammocks everywhere and a really nice terrace to watch the sunset. 6) and finally, it’s big enough to have your privacy, but also has a really nice social feel to it. Couldn’t fault my stay and would definitely come back it I return to the selva :) thank you Favio. Nelly.

Very nice hostel and very friendly furnished. With breakfast, tv, kitchen, roof top chill area for very fair price. Stuff was very helpful. The owner fell a sleep once so couldn't let me in, he was so sorry. Made him very human haha!

My stay there was perfect. Great location, great facilities with a nice terrace, good breakfast with eggs and bread. Recommandations are written at the entrance.
Treated water is available in the kitchen.

Fabio and his family made my stay very enjoyable. I really appreciate the fact that Fabio speaks really good English and he can provide a lot of information in English. I do need to improve my Spanish. The hostel was kept very clean and there are other toilets and showers on different floors other than just the one in the dorm. Breakfast is also included. The location is convenient. It is walking distance to the Plaza de armas which is also downtown and also close to a big supermarket. Or one can take the Tuktuk for 4-5 soles. I totally recommend this place and would probably stay here again when I visit Iquitos in the future.

Amazing hostel, feels super safe, run by lovely people, great free breakfast, cool rooftop with awesome sunset over the city. Rooms are all immaculately clean & showers are super hot (which is great since we just came from the jungle where its only cold showers! ) Just super laid back vibe with no rush or stress. 5 mins from a massive supermarket, 1 min from a pharmacy. Simple, yet one of my favourite hostels in South America. 100% recommend. Totally legit review, follow me @stanexplore on socials :)

I cannot recommend this hostel enough! Came to be a few days and ended up staying more than a week. Super clean (including the kitchen! ), the beds were just the most comfortable I’ve slept in, in almost 4 months. There’s a fan per person on all the dorms, never had any problems with the water. The towels and breakfast are included in your nightly fee.
The staff, this is a family business, and boy, they do it well! You feel like you’re home away from home. Shoutout to Fabio for being an amazing human who made the stay even better.

Wow. Lovely place. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a lovely service very helpful from this guy who speaks great english. All the staff were so friendly always — smiling at you. The beds are really comfy and the rooms as a whole are really clean in which you also have the option of a towel. Easy to socialise with a nice kitchen and a lovely roof terrace looking over Iquitos. Only downside was the Wifi but I think that is more of an Iquitos issue than the hostel itself. I booked my tour through the hostel he later out which ones were best. Really nice!
P. S location is ideal…on the doorstop is a big food market and 5 minutes away is the biggest supermarket in iquitos.
