We had a good time in SurfAsana Lodge. The Lodge has nice, modern rooms with AC and a great view on the ocean.

Surfasana (surf & yoga) is a completely new facility and an outstanding value.

It is a very special experience to live off grid on a remote beach on a very sparsely populated beautiful island. Good home cocked meals, great service and very friendly and helpful hosts.

Stayed for 12 days in February 2025 and found it a very relaxing 12 days. Great food, quiet and beautiful location… you could not ask for nicer hosts than Coni and Jairo!

Gino is awesome. So friendly and helpful. Fresh caught fish of the day all 3 nights we were there.

What a nice find! I just happened to see this place on my way to Costa Rica and I am very glad I did.

I stayed there last year, and I stayed this year. The restaurant is outstanding. The food is awesome. Each play has enough food to satisfy you.

Great place to rent a surf board!
$10 soft top half day / $15 hard board half day.
We didn’t stay here but we rented boards and it was really easy. They weren’t open until 7:15ish.

Great hotel in a fabulous location overlooking a gorgeous bay. Rooms were compact and a little basic but comfortable. We had a sea view which was lovely. The hotel literally opens up onto the beach.

I loved the stay at Villa Vento. Steven the owner and all the Volunteers were so nice and helpful.

I spent a couple of nights there and I really enjoyed it! The vibe was great, the kitchen was new and the pool is amazing! The volunteers were very helpful. I will definetly come back one day.

All services worked perfect. Our room had everything we needed.
Staff is great. Sunset view is awesome and areas are clean. Breakfast is good. A place to relax and disconnect.

We stayed at hotel casa blanca in beautiful Torio for six days. The view from our balcony was outstanding, looking out over the lush valley right down to the ocean.

I spent my day there they have a lovely pool and a nice bar with delicious drinks. The space is cute decorated with makrame and they have games. Staff 10/10!

We had a great stay at Las Hamacas. The room was clean and had a good atmosphere. The garden of is beautiful and the pool a big plus!

Absolutely great stay here. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fine, the pool is nice to cool down a bit. A/C works, beds are comfortable. Not much more that you can ask for.

Lovely little hotel between Santa Catalina ‘village’ and the main surf beach.
The pool area with sunset views over the ocean is the main attraction, along with cheerful helpful staff.

Sebastian’s hospitality is lovely and his hotel is spectacular with a wondrous view. Waking up in the morning to it after arriving in the dark the night before was such a beautiful gift.

This is an awesome hostel, good rooms, kitchen and atmosphere, close to everything in town. Super friendly staff.

It’s the perfect hotel to stay at in Santa Catalina. I have been a guest there for 20 years, and David, Jenni, Nona, and their lovely staff make you feel like you’re family.

If you like surfing and swimming. This is the place to be. The beach is very walkable and you don't have to worry about rocks in the sand. A large variety of accommodations are available.

We ate at El Sol Morrillo multiple times and it was simply perfecto. We stumbled in to El Sol Morrillo after driving 4 hours from Playa Venao. We weren't expecting much and were completely blown away.

We didn’t stay here — just came for the food. Beautiful view over the hills and ocean only enhanced the experience.

Very accommodating for us arriving late and very friendly staff. Rooms are updated and very clean, the hostal we found to be clean. Food at the restaurant is very affordable and delicious!

We stayed there 3 nights and we were totally satisfied. The location is really close to a beautiful surfing beach. The owner was really nice and even drove us to our next hotel.

Good place to spend an afternoon alone or in the company of those who want to spend a quiet atmosphere.

I was there alone on my way to a friend, it's a beautiful place! I slept in a tiny hous for two person, with air conditioning, shower and a wonderful view of the tropical garden.

My girlfriend and I arrived at night without a reservation and although the owner was pretty busy at the moment he was very kind and showed us the rooms. We ended up staying 3 nights there.

It was our second stay at Hostal Brisas Calobreñas. It has a great price-performance ratio; but above all it is run by people who love the region. We received great tips and had a great time.
