After ten days in Panama, we found this place by accident. Imagine a luxurious treehouse in the middle of the jungle, sloths hanging out in the trees. Beautiful lush grounds and the beach? Seen a few in my day and Bluff Beach is amongst the best. Miles of uninhabited pristine beach, practically secluded. Extraordinarily beautiful! The service is outstanding! Highly recommend! Will definitely come back!

The amazing location with the wonderful sound of the ocean waves 24/7, the beauty, it's truly a paradise, and the people, the hosts Ron, Steve and team are just fantastic. The food is awesome! Maria, the massage therapist is the very best!

We loved our stay at Bluff Beach! Lovely cabin, beautiful grounds and location, great suggestions for dinner in the area and amazing pool and beach. Excellent hosts, great breakfasts and all around wonderful experience!

Beautiful setting, great for retreats or a quiet laid back vacation. The staff were excellent and knowledgeable and made us feel like family! The food was amazing and all fresh and local ingredients, very highly recommended. Took a horseback riding tour to La Piscina and the guides were great and the horses were calm and relaxed during our ride. They even walked us into the jungle so I could capture the howler monkeys with my camera. Well worth it!

Thanks Ron for your hospitality. I couldn't think of a better place to go for my vacation in Bocas. And if one day I go back again to Bocas I'll certainly go to the same place. Wonderful hotel and people. You are treated like family and it feels like paradise. And of course it wouldn't be the same without Nina. Thanks for everything Ron. Till we meet again.

Bikes are great and Nina followed us on long hikes. My son loved Nina.

From the time we inquired on the property all our questions were answered to make our trip the best. We loved the family feeling. We met some real stewards of the islands and culture at Bluff Beach Retreat. Ron, Kristen, Steve, Karen, and the rest we thank you all.

Nice retreat away from the hustle of bocas town. Beautiful pool and surroundings. Nice room with a shared common area for relaxing and breakfast. You can hear the waves crashing and the forest activity a nice change from the city. Owners and caretakers are very friendly and knowledgeable. Staff is as well.

Stayed for the 2nd time at playa bluff beach retreat, can not think of a better place for a barefoot adventure on an amzing beach. I will return again and again.

Definitely the best accommodation on bluff beach. The service is excellent, the rooms are as magnificent as the view from the main house or the swilling pool. Morning breakfast is nothing short of spectacular, but what makes this place special is the people that welcome you there. Ron, the owner, does an excellent good job in making sure us, the guests enjoy a flawless stay. Karen and Steve are always willing to share THEIR abundant knowledge about their years living and traveling in the archipelago. This place feels like home after just a few hours, and the beach (that's right in front of the property) is very hard to say goodbye to when leaving to get back home.

I just got back from a fantastic Panama Vacation! The 4 day stay at Bluff Beach Resort could not have been any more enjoyable! My girlfriend and I stayed 2 nights in the secluded Las Palmas Casita and 2 nights in the main beach house Las Olas master bedroom. If you prefer to be a little isolated away from the main house, then Las Palmas is the way to go. There is no AC in any of the rooms but you really don’t need it with the nice ocean breezes and fans. The sounds of the jungle mixed with the waves crashing on the shore were just surreal. The property is gorgeous and fits so naturally in the surroundings. I especially love the how the paths were lit during the night. It gave such a magical walk through the tropical vegetation. A beautiful, quiet beach is just steps away from the front of the property. On the way back from the beach, I showered outside and took a dip it their fantastic pool then sipped cool drinks with fresh limes from their farm under the thatched umbrellas. We also took an afternoon ride on the horses that were available. The horses were beautiful and well behaved. The guide was very considerate of my girlfriend who had never ridden a horse. We stopped for a refreshing dip at a beautiful secluded spot on the far side of the island. On the way back our guide even pointed out a monkey in a tree that we would have never seen! The inn keepers, Steve and Karen, really made a huge impression on me.
