I don't know what the negative reviews are about. This place is a perfect little hostel with clean rooms, clean kitchen and friendly staff who speak enough english. It is literally right on the carribean. The rooms are quaint and have everything you need. Wifi works just fine. It is a steal for the view each room has. You can swim right in front and find seahorses and other sea life every day. There are two islands just off the coast that are an easy swim. Don't walk on the sand in the water because there are a lot of stingrays. As a fellow diver, I was surprised at how rude the golden frog scuba place is next door. This hostel is a gem for this area. It is just outside of portobelo, which was also nice. 5/5

I had a beautiful room with a little patio right on the beach. Plain room but very clean with a comfortable bed. The owners were also kind enough to allow me access to the kitchen so that I could prepare my own meals.
