The room was dim lit. I found a bathroom in there on the 2nd day which flooded. Cold water showers. Guy moved out and still same sheets on bed two days later. Has small lockers own lock. Small kitchen which needed a clean. Fridge didn't seem to work and had many rotting things inside. Nice bar/terrace/ dining are with view down the steep hill. Owner lady keen to be paid and then hardly seen for the time I was there. Was $15a night and well over priced. Couple of hammocks here and there. Would I stay again… NO.
A heartfelt thank you to Su and Benjamin for their incredibly warm welcome. My stay was a true immersion into the vibrant Panamanian culture—from the dance and cuisine to the peacefulness of fishing. The hostel is so full of life and perfectly nestled in nature; I felt so lucky to observe sloths and magnificent birds right there. Being able to cuddle the sweet cats and dogs who live there so peacefully was the highlight of my days. Thank you for this beautiful life experience.

Lovely small hostal in the village of Portobelo! Sue was super nice and helpfull with everything. Did not like the open door from the dorm room to the street, but it still seem safe.
