Friendly staff, excellent food and accessible.

Hotel with nice spacious and comfortable room, with welcoming staff.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small, cramped and the carpet very stained. The most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Not so Grand Hotel Terminus.

Hot water and fruits available at the lounge bar. Old hotel but staff was professional. Outside paved road makes it hard for wheeled luggage. Just couple minutes walk from train and metro station.

Rooms and breakfast were very good. Very clean convenient location for getting on and off trains. Staff were nice and polite.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights. A good hotel, with great service and a smiling and welcoming staff. I have seen cleaner rooms and the hotel does seem a bit worn but that is expected with the age of the hotel. The whiskey bar downstairs is quite impressive and their selection is outstanding! Would stay again.

Vintage rooms nicely updated and very comfortable. Has the feel of a classic hotel but modern at the same time. Perfect location, 30 seconds from the train station and a short walk to central town. Excellent bar with friendly staff. We had a pizza and it was very good. Try the local beer made with chilies. A good value all around.

Beautiful Hotel, furnished in style and with functional and quiet rooms. Breakfast with wide choice and in a very nice location. Hotel just minutes from Bryggen and located next to the train station. A few steps to catch a train.

Very old hotel but very nice. It's like antique place because all furnitures are old along with structures. But located in a convenient place near to station so traveling is easy. Staffs are good and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic.

A very nice hotel situated in the centre of Bergen. I was attending a conference this visit and the facilities were very good. The room was located on the top floor and had good natural light. It also contained everything you would need for meetings or conferences. There was also a nice lounge for all conferences that was nicely stocked with snacks and drinks. Recommended.

Heritage hotel with Excellent service, friendly staff and clean. Very close to the train and bus terminal and for Indians very close to 2 Indian restaurants which are at walking distance.

Old time hotel. Excellent breakfast and selection of spirits at the bar. Excellent location.

It was a very comfortable stay. Faced a problem with the locks at the room allotted to us, but the staff we're very friendly and provided us with replacement rooms immediately. The breakfast selection was varied and delicious.

The location is great! It’s right beside the train station. They offer free breakfast and coffee, which is very thoughtful. However, this hotel did not satisfy my basic need. I had bad sleep here, because of the over soft bed and noises from other rooms. I could even hear my neighbors snoring… not to mention the television sound and conversations.

We had a lovely time at this hotel, and in this city.
Although it rained 8 days without for and consecutively, its people, its food, its particular way of life linked to the sea and the cold we captive.
It is even expensive for Europeans. But it has a very high standard of living.
The hotel wonderful, cultivates the kindnesses of whisky, breakfast, and their particular restaurant are excellent.
If again to the city Elegiriamos the same hotel, among other things, because it is crossing the street from the train terminal.

Nice hotel close to the railway station, and close to the city centre. Ok rooms, and the best Whisky bar in Bergen.

Bathtub isn't attached to the back wall but it was a big room and good breakfasts and overlal beautiful hotel!

A nice hotel. The single rooms are a bit small. However, even in the single room there is a bathtub. The breakfast buffet is excellent! Gladly again.

Nice hotel in a good location. The breakfast is quite good. The only issue is that it's a bit noisy.

The best hotel you can choose, is next to train station, close to the Bergen bus Station, the library, museums and to get to the centre of Bergen you only have to walk about ten minutes. Breakfast is very complete, sure you will not want to have lunch after that buffet offer that also has options for vegans. We enjoyed a lot our stay, sure we will be back.

The rooms were small even for Europe. The temperature control didn't work and it would get too hot with window closed and too cool with it open. The plus is it was quiet and good location. Not much of a bar or restaurant downstairs kinda dead. They gave us a double bed even though we wanted single but were quick to fix.

Check in was fast. It's located directly next to the train station. Front desk was super helpful. Breakfast was amazing buffet style with so many delicious options. Our room was nice and clean.

900-style Hotel, centrally located.

Although this was sold to me as a four star hotel, I think it is a 2 to 3 star hotel. Very small and noisy rooms and extremely small bathroom, smelly carpets. No ventilation in bathroom. Beds too small and soft. Breakfast adequate. Plus points: helpful and friendly staff.

Great location, right next to the train station. Very comfortable bed and a good sized room. Shower in the bathroom was a bit odd, could do with an upgrade. Take care getting in and out of the bath/shower. The room got a bit stuffy, so you need to open the windows to cool it down in summer (no aircon). Otherwise really nice hotel and a great stay.

Great decor, friendly staff, superb location. Our room was a good size with a nice bathroom and basic amenities. A little bit tired here and there, but clean and pleasant. Being an old building with thick walls, zero noise from adjoining rooms. Free Wi-Fi was available for guests and the breakfast was very good. It's located right next to the train station and 5 minutes walk to the bus station. Also 5 minutes walk from the waterfront area. Recommended for a city centre stay in Bergen.

The details testify to the slow decay that seems to have struck the Grand Hotel Terminus: An approximate painting, a splendid inlay badly repaired or an antique parquet summarily covered by carpet. It is strong the scent of an occasion wasted only partly attenuated by a great breakfast, a service definitely above the average and especially the fascinating story of the last night spent here by Roald Amudsen.

A nice hotel, inside in old style and elegant, nice rooms, very spacious the bar room. The reception is very good.

I got a free upgrade to villa terminus, which was very Nice. The room was completely New. Good breakfast, and very good transportation.

Old but comfortable hotel is just beside the Bergen railway station so it is very comfortable. I liked the detail of you got infusions and coffee in the lounge of the plant low for the use of guests. Perhaps the rooms need them a facelift.

Doesn`t even deserve a star, small rooms, tiny bathroom that you have to hang towels next to the shower nozzle, but that I can live with, The heating in the room was bad and even though it was a June visit, I had to wear thermal clothes during the night, and the biggest problem now is the cleanness, I have today BED BUG BITES because of this stupid hotel, I didn`t take dinner in the hotel but the breakfast buffet has a lot of varieties of fruits with good quality, croissant and cheese not so much, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

Clean, modern stylish rooms, next to train station, few minutes from city center and fish market, good bed, good breakfast, I would go there again.

Whiskey bar, and heated bathroom floors and comfy beds. I like this place.

No shelves in our room, others do have them. No safe, other rooms do. Toiletroll dispenser broken. No soap in shower. Not possible to move us to a better room. Internet is not bad tho. Breakfast ok.

Reading the other reviews makes me think I stayed at somewhere else. The rooms here are microscopic, smaller even than most NYC hotels. Beds are therefore also tiny and somewhat saggy. All this and it's still expensive — though that's probably merely standard given how expensive everything is in Norway £10+ for two coffees etc the buffet breakfast however was lovely, good choice of hot and cold foods, strong coffee and lovely yoghurt drinks. Sure, location is great and hotel entrance nice but otherwise this is just another less than average hotel. Rooms ending in 10 I think are the really nice big ones eg. 310, 410 suites.

We booked 3 nights here but left after 2. If you love old hotels and landmarks you'll enjoy this one. Otherwise you'll get more for your money elsewhere.

I liked everything! And the location and amazing nature. All who will gather on holiday in Norway, I recommend this hotel.
