We just held our annual conference at the elms and can highly recommend this place, the food was outstanding, the facilities perfect but the biggest asset they have is the staff! Amazing! Ravi was so helpful leading up to and including the conference but every staff member was outstanding, the reception, the bar staff worked incredibly hard but kept smiling!

What a beautiful experience hosting our annual conference here this week. The BEST service led by Ravi and staff, welcoming, friendly and accommodating all our needs over four days. Thank you so much Ravi for everything you did prior to, on arrival to departure and everything in between. You made our conference a great success!

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Our room was not ready because we arrived early. They made sure we had a quiet place to relax while we waited for our room. I would recommend this hotel. The staff made us feel like we were at home!

Nice place. Rooms spotless and well appointed. Excellent staff and decent buffet breakfast. Good choice of takeaway and sit down restaurants within walking distance. Major mall 10 minutes walk away. Bus service handy to front door.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights. Location is awesome as Papanui road is full of eateries, restaurants and shops. Papanui is a very lively place. Hotel reception staff was awesome. Room was neat and clean with proper heating. Ample parking space. Good Wi-Fi. Two things we didn't liked so much 1. The beds were too soft. Not comfortable for adults. 2. During checkout, there was a surcharge of 1.5% on any card payment.

We held a conference here. Both Ravi and Matt were incredibly helpful and made everything a breeze. The rooms were lovely and the food was amazing. The lamb shank is the most divine lamb I have ever eaten and would recommend to anyone. It was also reasonably priced. Unfortunately there were issues with the sound system that impacted our presentations and there was quite a lot of noise from the kitchen and then on the second day there was maintenance which was so loud we couldn't hear anything except the drilling. The team were great at getting them stop but it did take a while and impacted our conference. Overall though I would recommend.

The restaurant was nice. The was clean but hallways felt a little trashed. Over all the hotel felt old but overall a ok place to stay.

We stayed on masse here all booked in for a family wedding down the road. The team at the Elms are by far among the best I have experienced. Robin in the bar & Matt in the restaurant always smiling & happy to help! The property itself is modern, well located & quiet. Great value & an enjoyable stay!

Good staff, clean rooms, lovely food from the restaurant. Only three stars as the soundproofing is minimal to non-existent; the noise from other rooms, plumbing and the hallway is constant and loud. We also had room service enter our room at 8.30 am while we were getting sorted for the day.

Quality Hotel was a very nice place to stay. The concierge was extremely helpful, and the beds we're supremely comfortable.

Hotel is quite good. Service too. Breakfast is pretty decent. But rooms need to be maintained more, e. G closet door spoiled.

Very good. I was there for a conference. There was no trouble when I said I was a vegetarian when catered for lunch.

Nice and clean, friendly customer service, despite a few inconsistencies between staff e. G. Their website advertises a shuttle to town or airport, but upon request one staff will say no they don't do shuttle runs to town and then another staff would say they do. Great location with a good restaurant as well as a strip of eateries very close to the hotel. Decor on 2nd floor is a bit dated but very clean. They advertise as having a fitness centre, but its actually not on site and is down the road a bit and I was told you still had to pay. Otherwise, overall its very good value for money.

Top Service — 5 star treatment. Highly recommend. Beds are amazing. Its been newly refurbished. Very modern. Staff were very helpful, and keen to help. Must try the restaurant! 5 star dining. Good location, Quiet rooms. Will Definitely Comeback! No questions asked Dale Australia.

Friendly staff… great breakfast.

We dined in the Fig Restaurant tonight to celebrate my Birthday. The staff were very attentive to my dietary requirements, checking that my menu choices were suitable to my allergies, and coming back with suggestions to items that were a problem. Carlos and Nadine were excellent wait staff, the food was beautifully presented and tasted divine. Even the coffee was one of the nicest barista coffees I have had in a long time. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. Thank you so much.

Second time I've stayed here, and it hasn't changed. Still love it. Good service. Has a mini mart across the street and take away stores, best part has the northlands mall just around the corner. Will keep staying here for quick convenience from the airport. And out of Christchurch. Great place to stay as very quiet and comfortable.

I recently flew down to Christchurch for a two day business conference at St Andrews College Chapel. The location was important so I opted to stay at Quality Hotel Elms purely because of the convenience of how close the destinations were. Upon check in I arrived too early. That was okay because I could leave my luggage with the staff while I went to the conference. I thought that was very polite and professional of them to do that. So I got back to the hotel in the afternoon, and check in was a breeze. Quick and easy with no hassles. I stayed in room 411 on the top floor. Room was spotless and very cosy. The bed was also very comfy. For a moment during my sleep, I thought I was in my comfortable bed at home. So I organised to meet with family over dinner at Fig bar and restaurant. The location was ideal because by this time, I was tired from all the travel and the conference. The food was cooked to perfection. I had the rib eye steak cooked medium rare, mushroom jus, truffle potato mash and salad. The butterscotch dessert was delicious and plentiful. One little minor setback was my breakfast. I didn't want the buffet breakfast, so I selected from the freshly made to order menu. Upon receiving my meal, I was rather disappointed because the toast was very dry and stale, the hash browns, bacon and mushrooms were dry and flavourless, and my poached eggs were almost boiled (yolk was almost hard). Maybe I just came in at the wrong time?

Check in on 07 April 2017with "Melanie". She was somehow unwelcome (from her face). She offered a wake up call service but it was not happen. Check in again on 13 April 2017 with "Pam". She as lovely woman with all support. As well as duty manager on that night. He was very helpful with info. So, if you met "Melanie", do not bother ask her for anything… Sorry I am from Hotel Industry as well. That's why I noticed everything…

The building is old. You can understand when you get in lift. Airport shuttle is from 8am to 4pm. We didn't know this information until we arrived. But staff is friendly to call the shuttle taxi for us. This location is very embarrassing. Not close to airport & town center. Its between them. But you can buy some simple food or KFC near here.

Older property that has been partially modernised eg old batroom wall tiles but new floor tiles and vanity. Just an overnight stay. Reasonable value for last minute booking.
