The new private bathroom spa/jacuzzi was a great addition to the room we booked to soak up and relax.
HIGHLY recommend! we would definitely return!

Stove top stopped working in the middle of cooking dinner.
Was told someone will fix it in the morning, never did.
Communication wasnt the greatest either.
No laundry facilities.
On our 5th stay, and the internet is still crap!
Had to ask for fresh towels/milk etc.
No one collected our rubbish each day.
Would not recommend especially if you have a young family.

Reception suxs, offers Internet password yea doesnt go.
Then when we finally get the correct Internet information its lasts 2minutes then switches on & off.
Ended up buying own Internet, still cannot access properly.
Asked if place had a laundromat services in the area, he didnt understand but offers to use theres at $5 each. We were here for 7days had already forked out the world to be here.
Asked for vacumn cleaner to clean our room, the answer was no its locked away this is at 4pm in the afternoon.
Had dirty towels & rubbish still hadnt been picked up on our day 3stay.
Each day aint the milk/coffee tea & towels ment to get checked & changed EVERYDAY.
Didnt happen AT ALL.
i work in this sort of industry highly disappointed.

Clean and tidy with friendly, helpful staff.

Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment. A bit pricey for just 2 people, but liked the location and shared living area compared to getting two single rooms. Slept very well. Room was upstairs, so had to carry suitcases upstairs. Was ok for us, but might not suit others. No hanging space or hooks in main bedroom. They should add hooks to the back of all doors. No tissues, couldn't find a hairdryer, not sure if included. Luxury bathroom fitout but no shelves or surfaces to put clothes or toiletries, be great if they added that.

Motel clean and quiet with off street parking. Loved that we had an invection cooktop and plenty of hot water. Owners were very helpful. Easy access to and from the city. Would definitely choose to stay here again.

Great place to stay. Family unit was very spacious and well appointed. Large bathroom with a fantastic shower. Definitely recommended.

Functional rooms, though limited storage. Location close to motorway was convenient. Parking could get busy some nights.

Motel isn’t bad but was overpriced considering. They force you to use your room key in a socket on the wall for the electricity to turn on so if you leave someone there you can’t take a key with you. The refrigerator requires the key so we got back one night to melted ice cream. Spa is nice, shower is good. No cable and they only give you 1GB Wi-Fi so we had to spend more money for Wi-Fi to at least stream a movie for decent entertainment.

Communication is poor. Was woken up by loud renovations on their 'new çafe' before 7am. Tried to communicate with them, our complaint was not taken seriously, therefore leaving this review.

We stayed in a renovated unit. This place is perfect for a short stay. The kind where you don't unpack your suitcase, but need a comfy bed, a decent TV and a rejuvenating shower. Our unit had a functional kitchen. Even an Aircon & heat pump. There is a decent laundry on-site for the travel clothes. Better yet, a load is only a dollar dearer than the laundromat in Johnsonville. The Wi-Fi works with none of the hassles we've experienced in some other places. A first was a built in bedside USB port to recharge my mobile. Parking is directly in front our unit.

Very obligiging and helpfull.

I should have gone with my gut feeling after walking into reception which was messy and dirty. The rooms at a glance were okay but after closer inspection revealed dirty cutlery cups and I the thick layer of dust on the range-hood was disgusting. I mentioned this to the manager but he did not seem to care at all.

One star is way more than this place even deserves It's filthy, and manger is rude and speaks hardly any English Motel is unsafe un finished and not even signed off at the council. Will be calling council myself and reporting them for there filthy rooms that resulted in bed sores. Sheets also had a brown stain on them and owner refused to change the sheets.

The rooms were very tiny and charge was very high. The shower facilities were bad and there was no proper water coming out of it. Beds were placed next to the toilet which was extremely inconvenient and horrible experience. The kitchen was unsafe to use as taps were not working. Never stay in this hotel.

Can hear every room's door getting closed or opened, even going to the toilet. Room smells like mould!

The family rooms are dirty, stinky and mouldy and cost as much as the renovated rooms. Bad experience.

In August this year (2016) we flew from Australia to visit family and stay in these luxurious apartments. 1 adult, 3 children. The rooms were spacious, clean linen and self contained. There was construction at this time but it didnt affect our stay. This is a family owned business recently taken over by New management and are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and stay here again should I visit Newlands NZ.
