This was a lovely room lovely and clean the only thing wrong with it was that the garden chair and table was in need of a deep clean other than that it was lovely and staff were lovely and friendly.

Great place to stay beds way better than last time … only downfall was house keeping is a bit sloppy and coz we were in the room most of 1 day house keeping didn’t ask for our dirty towels so we ran out… also ran out of toilet paper so had to buy our own and hubby was asking for towels later at night… other than that sweet! Recommend this place, 3rd time we have stayed here and would come again… see you next year midway motel!

Very friendly helpful staff, room was perfect for my family of 6, warm, comfortable and clean, will definitely stay again.

A nice place. The room is comfortable 、clean and big. Our room is very warm. There are many movies to watch. The owner is friendly and helpful.

Great apartment for six people only complaint is we stayed for 5 nights and we had to ask for our room to be vacuumed after four days of no vacuuming also no vacume supplied for us to do it ourselves.

Was good for the most. Was awesome as I was with my good friend. Bed was comfy. Hot water then cold then hot again as in burning was a bit of a pain when showering but thermal pool was awesome. Although could have Been a tad hotter.

Simple and has everything you need for your stay. we've stayed for a couple of night through new's year eve, bit pricey but price in line.

Two story rooms, spacious as, has thermal pool in bathroom and little court yard at the back.

Really expensive for what it is, no stove top like in the pictures, the double bed is terribly uncomfortable, road noise while upstairs is so crazy I thought a window was open but they werent, the list goes on but the plunge pool is nice.

We went to Midway after RobRoy Motel next door left us waiting for nearly an hour to check in… We cancelled our accommodation and was given a room at Midway straight away… She was friendly, gave us the family room for $120 which was only $10 more which is an absolute bargain considering we had our own Thermally Heated Pool.

Badly feeling, rude motel owner, can't speak English. Unbelievable this rubbish place still open.

A relatively inexpensive accommodation for families and large groups — especially if splitting the bill which is a real plus for the budget, however do note that the facility is very very basic and only really accommodates making a cup of tea, taking a shower and sleeping so I wouldn't class this place as a cozy or luxury facility. The bathrooms do need renovating and there should be more than just two tea bags supplied to the guests, however as there is no stove you will find yourself organising food out anyway. Also be aware that there is no fan or AC units available and the rooms get super hot in the summer and this makes sleep rather difficult if you are sensitive to temperatures so you might want to plan ahead The lady owner was quite helpful and pleasant to deal with and offered to take care of our reservations at local to-do's, however we didn't feel the guy owner was as similarily helpful as he did tell us to go and figure an attraction out for ourselves rather than helping himself which was mildly disappointing. All up, no major complaints in the end as we were literally there for just a night whilst transiting through Rotorua. Would stay here again if only looking for accommodation.

Friendly owner and clean lodgings make for an excellent stay.

Thermally heated Plunge pool was great. Comfortable beds were just what we needed to get a good night's rest after a long fun-filled day.

Friendly staff. Rooms were tidy but could do with a good spring clean eg place was vacuumed but pulled out sofa and there were crumbs and beer bottle lids underneath. Wifi connection not good. Had to wait 10 minutes for a movie to load. Stairs going to upstairs room is very unsafe. No railings or balustrade. Other than that, good value for money!

I was trying to call and make a booking at this motel, I am not sure thats the owner or the worker. What pissed me off is that he hang up on my call when im trying to explain that I want to make reservations! I called the second time thought of he might accidentally hang up but he say out loud " No we are not interested with you finding a job! " Im trying to explain that I am not here to get a job. Im trying to make a reservation for 6 ROOM! but then he arrogantly say "GO FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE, WE DONT NEED YOU! That escalated quickly I suppose. I dont even had the chance to say anything. This is very rude people handle this motel. Dont come here. Such a waste of time for trying to be POLITE and TALK NICELY. He may have nice rooms and what not but attitude? not worth it.

Booked with travago on thursday night for saturday and phoned aswell to confirm the booking but was told by a lady they had plenty of rooms and emails take a while to confirm. Arrived on Saturday and they could not find the reservation. I said no worries. Do you have a room still. The old aisian guy said yes but you should try next door. We asked but you have a vacancy for us? He said I only got 2 rooms … can you try next door. So basically he wanted to maximise his profit instead of letting us a room. Bad service here!

Stayed here for 2 nights although the facilities were ok there 6 person family room was relatively small was not very baby safe with stairs going up to the extra room so if you're interested in having a family here be prepared… The Wi-Fi is absolutely useless could connect but not use… spoke to him about it and was told is was my device? Umm NO! There were 6 smartphones having the same issue so NOT my device…? Not enough condiments (Milk, coffee, Hot Chocolate etc) considering it's a "Family" room ment for 6 people you should have more than 2 serves of hot chocolate, Coffee… etc? Have Sky T. V but only 4 Channels? Towels… there we're NOT enough! Dispite the issues it was a really good price and we had a great time in Rotorua.

Great place to stay with our 3 kids, great price, lots of room for the kids and upstairs meant we all weren't stuck in the same room together… the lady was friendly towards us…
Only downfall was the beds, downstairs it was hard my husband had terrible sleeps and I slept upstairs with the kids, I was in the double bed and that was really soft… we stayed 4 nights and both left with sore backs…
My husband loved having the plunge pool… different beds and we would be back in a heartbeat… I adore Rotorua…

We loved it here compared to the gateway where we were meant to stay. Gate way had No tv, had to share kitchen and was closed between 11-12 plus had to buy food there wasn't allowed to smoke outside or drink. 2 adults for $195 & had to pay for Wi-Fi
Where hare at Midway we have our own spa, double bed, Wi-Fi, kitchen and we drunk a few quite and kept it clean like them.
Owners even discounted me for when I come back in July. They were very respectful and nice to us 2 ladies in bedroom 4 the last 2 night's.
Rather come back here than gateway at least they are very clean.
Gateways beds were not as clean as this.
Was worth the money.

Very basic! Nice to have a plunge pool in the room but we felt it was over priced for what we got.

There was no table or chairs to carter 5 people. The bed and dining and kitchen had no space. Towels only 4 for 5 people.

Stayed only a night as it was a last minute stay but for $200 for 4 adults and and infant, no one could say no to that price especially. Was even more surprised to find we had 1 queen bed, 1 double bed and 2 single beds aswell as them offering us a cot for our baby and I couldn't forget the spa! Honestly a great quality room for $200! Only downfall would have to be the rude tenant who kept telling us to shush because we were acting "too excited". Even after we shush down he continued to shove rules ay us. Was even worse when I walked in to ask about laundry services and he was too busy arguing with someone on the phone over a booking made online. Great quality room but poor and pathetic service that has let this motel down.

Awesome stay at midway motel, very friendly owner's. Our experience has been enjoy able. If we return we will definitely consider this motel. The price I felt was reasonable as others were to expensive, they had the necessities and the bonus for us was the plunge pool. A+ I say.

A warm and comfortable stay. Quite close to most of the attractions. We were 6 adults and had a wonderful stay.

Nice place to stay in rotorua, but must improve a little the internet wireless service to get good signal inside the rooms.
